Beautiful, welcoming venue! Full of art and colour. Great accessibility and nice coffee. Giving three stars only because it’s too warm and there’s no water or drinks available during the show hours - inside cafe closed and no vending machines available.

The Crescent is a great venue and quite intimate too. Have seen a few bands here and always enjoy it. No drinks license, so it’s a case of bring your own wine or beer only. Glasses supplied.

Only been here once to meet with the team taking my sis on dream flight to America, there was a big enough hall with tables all set out for this occasion. But there is a cafe on your right when u go into the building.

im literally still in the cafe while im writing this cos im so annoyed… i asked for a sandwich with no meat and the guy at the counter was really snarky about it. there arent really any vegetarian options and apparently he gets super annoyed if you ask for something to be prepared with no meat! everyone else seems nice and its a nice place but that was a really uncomfortable experience

I went to a creative writing course on Sat 21st October. I found it very enjoyable and motivating. The centre has a lot going on as I walked past music rooms/ dance rooms/ art rooms etc and all were full of people taking part. I would happily book another course again

Wonderful small live music venue. Brilliant duo performance tonight - Aqua Tofana/ Jealous of the birds. Both wonderfully accomplished singer/songwriters. Great young lady compereing the proceedings too. Very enjoyable night for what seems like a bargain price.

Yelp
A hidden gem, the Crescent Arts Centre may look basic, but this modern venue is a great open space with everything you need to host an event. Clean, functional and accommodating, I have seen numerous events here from poetry slams to comedy improv shows. It's BYOB too, which is a great addition!

Yelp
The Crescent Arts Centre is a basic but contemporary looking venue. It functions as a community arts centre for the people of Belfast and holds a variety of dance, music, creative writing and visual art / craft classes for all. They also push the boat out by holding a artistic participatory events, exhibitions and performances. The Crescent Arts Centre are also the curators of the City Dance Festival and Belfast's longest running literary festival - Between the Lines. I was there recently for the Trans:mission night, showcasing the best Irish electronica musicians, as part of Belfast's innovative trans festival. I was itching to see Nouveau Noise, from Dublin who play deliciously glitchy and lush electronica. The set up was very relaxed. It was a mere £5 in and BYOB. Everyone in the main room was seated round tables dotted around the venue and chatting away. On stage there were electronica acts playing some really interesting and innovative stuff with some cool visuals being projected behind them. In the middle of the night, there was a drawing competition- where two massive boards were erected each side of the stage and a 'crew' of illustrators and street artists from Dublin had to freestyle a picture, with a Dj playing in the background. It made for such an interesting night. I'm all for Arts spaces opening up their doors to gigs, like Block T in Dublin. And the bring your own booze door policy is always a winner.

Yelp
This place is such an inspirational centre for arts. I mean arts of all kinds from sculptures to painting to art to plays and dance. There is lots for all ages. They are running so many interesting classes and workshops from September to December to suit everyone's creative streaks. I popped in to see what I could do....singing,dancing,keep fit, yoga, theatre, meditation, languages, writing, painting, drawing, wood carving and the list goes on. There is also a cafe on site.

Yelp
Set in the heart of University Quarter in a grand Victorian building the Crescent Arts Centre doesn't really give too much away from the outside but don't be tricked by it's unassuming demeanor The Crescent Arts Centre hosts some of Belfast's most creative and forward thinking arts events. The Centre itself is a jack-of-all-trades. It hosts everything from craft fairs to martial arts classes. They have a dynamic hall that can be partitioned to suit almost any occasion - I have been in the hall when a DJ has been playing and also on a Sunday morning when market stalls occupy the space. The building has an auditorium, an art and dance studio and at least 5 workshops. All of these elements are available for hire. There are not many places in Belfast that can rival these diverse facilities or offer the range of activities that The Crescent Arts Centre offers, my only small criticism is that they don't shout about what they do, and they really should!

Yelp
The Crescent Arts Centre's superb. I've attended numerous life drawing, yoga and pilates classes here. There's a broad range of evening/day classes and weekend workshops in music, dance, movement, acting, photography and visual arts amongst others. Plus, classes are run for all age groups from kids to adults. Additionally you'll find plays, music performances, art exhibitions, a weekend craft market and much more happening at the Crescent. An amazing place.

Yelp
As I have attended various evening classes at the Crescent Arts Centre in recent times I can happily vouch for their excellence in each case. So far, who ever organises them here seems to be able to find exactly the right sort of tutor for each one. My choices have included drawing and painting, watercolour, creative writing and Pilates. The writing class encouraged me with a project I'm still toiling at but that's fine by me. I learnt something new at both the art classes - that's an achievement, because I must have been to about at least 20 art classes of one kind and another over the years. On a completely different track the Pilates was very well taught and most beneficial to my, erm, figure. It's high time to resume that one. Anyway, I'll definitely be back doing something next year, and look forward to sampling the restored premises back at their original building on University Road.

Yelp
The Crescent Arts Centre is really great. They cater for all kids of Arts related interests and I especially loved their Pilate's classes. They offer dance, exercise, music, writing and many more and the classes are all professionally taught. The centre itself has just had a massive overhaul and looks better than ever. A great place to see shows especially as it's BYOB which makes the night that little bit cheaper. They are hosting a masquerade ball now in September which is sure to be a fantastic night and raises money for charity!

Yelp
Crescent Arts Centre is a brilliant place for evening, short term classes ranging from journalism, painting, dance and visual arts. The classes have just the right amount of particpants so you don't feel afraid to speak out but then again not too crushed to find time and space. The teachers are warm, friendly and welcoming which is a great attitude to have especially for those students who are doubting taking on a particular class. Before the term kicks in, (one term begins in September, another in January and the final in April) Crescent arts Centre produces a booklet with all class details from location, time and price. A handy help is the reduced concession fee for students which makes classes even more attractive if you're getting them for a little less!

Yelp
Went to see a play here a couple of months ago, the play was great but found some of the food at the snack area over priced. Got a bit chilly mid-show so maybe they can rectify this for the winter months ahead. Over all an enjoyable night
