Possibly our favorite meal of our wine tasting weekend trip! Delicious and satisfying breakfast, and we loved our no nonsense, but super warm and kind server. They make all their bread and pastries, and they are fabulous. The gluten-free toast was thick and fluffy, and I tried the homemade biscuit too, which was better even than my mom used to make. It was really nice to sit outside on the sidewalk.

Google
Absolutely melt in your mouth delicious! Perfect place to enjoy amazing food (think brunch), enjoy a mimosa and coffee and catch up with family or friends. The lemon crepes are heaven on a plate!

Google
Great food. There was fresh fruit in the pancakes, amazing creaps. Worth the gps re route. Enjoy

Google
The food was good, but it felt like pretty standard American breakfast fare. While I enjoyed my meal, I think some items could use a bit more seasoning to really enhance the flavors. I also purchased a loaf of their oat apple bread for $11, which I thought was a fantastic price considering how incredibly delicious the bread served with my breakfast was. I do plan on returning and look forward to trying some of their more extravagant dishes next time!

Google
Super nice people working here. And the food is mighty tasty. We had a couple specials: pumpkin nut pancakes and skillet potatoes, mushroom, red bell pepper thing with eggs on top. Yum and yum. And we brought a loaf of honey oat bread, which sustained us for many hours. Just go in. : )

Google
This is where you should eat breakfast in Mac! We were referred by a local and walked by some really nice flashy places to get there. Definitely do not be fooled this place makes incredible food and the service was out of this world fantastic. We were seated quickly and greeted by our server, I ordered a coffee and my wife inquired about an espresso drink, they do not make them but she recommended my wife run around the corner and grab something she would enjoy! I have never ever had that happen before, we really appreciate the are that invested in making there guests happy. My wife had the gluten free French toast, which doesn’t sound good but was amazing! The bread for that was local, the other breads they offer are divine and house made. I had the fried cornmeal with beans and it was just perfect. The food was incredible, but the service was like your mother or grandmother cooking you breakfast. I highly recommend. Prices are more than fair and the experience was great. Thank you! The coffee was good as well.

Google
Absolutely amazing breakfast. We had the 2-egg breakfast, vanilla bourbon French toast, and chipotle glazed ham steak (rotating special). Everything was clearly carefully sourced and quality was not spared. This was the perfect sweet and salty breakfast. We like to try a little bit of everything. Every person we interacted with was incredibly pleasant. We will be coming back for certain.

The Reuben sandwich is very tough, you can’t even chew it, other than that is ok in my opinion

Yelp
We arrived just after 11am on a busy Monday morning (Labor Day). We had to wait a few minutes to be greeted and put our name on the waiting list, which was totally understandable. All tables were full and the staff were super busy, which is a good sigh. I just knew we were in for a treat. Our wait was about 20 minutes so we strolled down third street and went into a local shop while we waited for a table. After about 15 minutes or so we received a text message that our table was ready so we walked back and got seated inside. The tables and chairs are really substantial, so you can't definitely order several plates to share and have enough space for it all, which I appreciate. Our server was kind and attentive. We ordered the 2 egg breakfast, mine with a biscuit & bacon, and my husband's with sausage & and English muffin. We also ordered the bourbon vanilla French toast to share. The food came out pretty quickly for it being such a busy day and everything tasted really great, good ingredients, fresh, perfectly cooked. No complaints!

Yelp
I LOVE BREAKFAST!! If you're like me, you want to check out Crescent Cafe, located in the heart of McMinnville. This is my second visit here, and while a little bit of a drive from the Northwest Portland area, this is a wonderful, old-school charm cafe right in the heart of their downtown area. Cute neighborhood too. We had the florentine benedict, their bourbon vanilla French toast, a side of bacon, side of hash browns, and one egg over medium. NOTE: That's a lot of bacon! Also, All their breads and pastries are made in-house, and I'm told from scratch, daily. FYI, they are BIG slices, but good! Friendly staff, we like Shane, and always accommodating. On the weekends expect a bit of a wait. But in my opinion, worth it. SPECIAL NOTE: There's a McMenamin's across the street, and if you have time, check out their rooftop venue too. What a view!! We will be back as this is now one of my go-to breakfast stops. Now if you'll excuse me, I must go find a 12-Step meeting for over-breakfast-eaters anonymous.

Yelp
We were in McMinnville for a few days, staying at a hotel across the street. We had the good fortune to find the CC. First, we got a table right away both days with genuine, kind, attentive servers. We tried the veggie hash (YUM!), chicken fried steak, and Benedict. All were delicious and the service was fast. I loved the homemade bread; we had the oatmeal/golden raisin and cornmeal/molasses. So good that we got a loaf of each and took them home! I would recommend this cafe whole-heartedly--don't miss it!!

Leon R.

Yelp
We have been eating Breakfast here since it opened. There are only two things I order off the menu. After several orders of the creamed chicken and biscuits I have noticed that the delicious flavor that would draw me to ordering it has disappeared. My wife and I would say that the flavors would remind us of Thanksgiving. That is no longer the standard. Today. It was bland , and thicker than normal. I never add salt to anything I order. , but was forced to today. We will not stop eating here. I just won't be ordering this selection. (Too Bad). I miss the original.

Yelp
Surprise trip for my birthday breakfast and it was definitely worth the trip. This classic bakery dinner doesn't look like much more than a hole in the wall, but the food is delicious and the service is great. It was quickly added to the list of top ten breakfast spots. This corned beef hash snob was quite impressed with their version. Not dry at all with the perfect corned beef to potatoes balance. You can tell they bake all of the breads and throw in a little extra love when they do.. the biscuit was melt in your mouth. In McMinnville...be sure to have breakfast here.

Yelp
My sweetie and I visited our 3rd restaurant this weekend in search of the perfect Oregon breakfast and once again drove down to McMinnville, Oregon. The Crescent Cafe is well reviewed here on Yelp, so we had to try it. 30-minute wait outside, but once seated, we could smell delicious crepes and pancakes wafting temptingly across the seating area. Funny enough, we ordered egg dishes, and my wife ordered crabcakes and 2 eggs. I ordered the special, which for today was a delicious vegetable hash with egg whites and an English muffin. Both of us ordered a small cup of fresh fruit, today's fare, delicious, sweet strawberries. My wife loved the small serving size, and she finished everything, including the incredible buttermilk toast that came with her order. She also ordered a side of veggies+garlic, which was baked broccoli. The veggie hash reminded me of the same dish from my late, great favorite breakfast place in Portland, Byways. There were a couple of kinds of peppers, broccoli, and red peppers, along with freshly made warm potato squares. We both had decaf to reduce our coffee intake for the day and some fresh, clean cold water. Both of us felt like our dishes were tasty and well-prepared. This place is a 4/5 easy pushed over from 3 to 4 by their efficient and kind servers and hosts. The decor is that if an old house as it is in a 100 year old building! My only small complaint was about the serving size, which was a bit small for me. Next time, we'll try the pancakes and crepes, which are a tad more filling.

Yelp
What a cute lil joint we were introduced to! We were visiting family and our uncle recommended this place to us. Has a nice homie feel with great service. Our waitress was a seasoned veteran at the restaurant, sweet older lady that sounded like Tree Trunks from Adventure Time (weird reference I know lol). But she was very nice. She Recommend the Apple Crumble Coffee Cake thing (not its actual name) and fresh squeezed OJ. They were both delicious. The gentlemen got the biscuits and gravy while I got the Vanilla Bourbon French toast. The gravy tasted like liquid bacon, so good. The French toast was nice and thick. They must soak the French toast prior to putting it in the pan because it was nice and moist. The blueberry compote was tasty, though I think it could be better if it was warmed up prior to putting it on the toast, that's the only edit I have! So sad I don't live here to have this more often!

Bill G.

Yelp
Definitely our go to place for breakfast in wine country. The specials vary and are always solid. Go to dish has to be the bacon and provolone crepes sweet and savory. The food has always been solid as well as the service. Might be a way at the door but always worth it. The make there own bread and pastries which are delicious.

Michelle J.

Yelp
What a cute cafe with super friendly staff. We came for breakfast and were very pleased. The food was high quality, tasty, and came out piping hot. I have to say again, that the staff were so friendly which was the best part of breakfast for me. They greeted everyone who came in and checked on us multiple times. 5 s all around for me

Doug M.

Yelp
First time here for a Saturday brunch. The space is very nice...cozy and nice layout. We both ordered the two egg breakfast with bacon -- wife subbed fruit (fresh cut pears) for toast. Pretty simple order...and eggs were cooked perfect for both of us. Potatoes were very good...albeit a large amount. Her fruit was nice as was my bread. We both agreed the bacon was way too salty...it made it hard to eat. Overall service was exceptional and price was in line with market...I would definitely recommend this place but beware with the bacon!

Yelp
We heard this was the place to get breakfast in McMinnville, but I found Crescent Cafe to be A-OK. It was average breakfast food that's not cheap. But that doesn't seem to bother a lot of people around town since there's always a line at this spot. My partner and I visited Crescent Cafe for a late breakfast on a Sunday, and we were expecting a line. However, for the two of us, it was much easier to get a table, as we sat outside on the patio. The space isn't the largest, so I can see why it would be hard for groups to dine here. Shortly after we sat at our table, a line did form, with most parties having four or more peeps. My partner ordered the ham and swiss crepes while I had the veggie hash. I was able to choose the preparation of my two eggs (lightly poached) and for my bread, I went with a biscuit. My partner liked his meal, and it was large, with three crepes. But the sauce on the crepes was way too sweet, so he ended up smearing a lot of it off. My entrée was average, with most of the hash being potatoes. I did like that it came with asparagus, mushrooms and broccoli, so would've loved more of the veggies! But the best part was the housemade biscuit, which was fluffy and soft, and they gave me a side of marionberry jam to go with. Ya gotta get marionberries while in Oregon! Although the food was A-OK, service was fantastic. All of the staff here were super friendly and accommodating. I was wearing a dress and it wasn't yet warm, so they brought out two blankets for me to use while sitting outside. Now talk about service!

Cathy V.

Yelp
Great breakfast! Fresh and home made breads made for a delicious French toast and biscuits. Crepe with provolone, egg, and bacon may have been better drizzled with maple syrup rather the balsamic vinegar, but it was still delicious.

Debbie P.

Yelp
I LOVE this cafe! The service is friendly and seems authentically happy. The food..wow, amazing! We've just been there three times now and Im so excited to go again. Everything my hubby and I have has has been wonderful! So many things I want to try AND they change up the menu from time to time so Im looking forward new things as well!

Shelley A.

Yelp
I loved this cute breakfast cafe in McMinnville, OR. It was within walking distance of our hotel and had great food and service. The breakfast sandwich I had was amazing: Breakfast Sandwich w/ two eggs, ham, cheddar, and caramelized onion, served on cornmeal molasses bread with potatoes (hash browns) Our server, Shane, was the most pleasant waiter I think I've ever had. So friendly and efficient. Highly recommend to any who are staying in McMinnville!!

Jim A.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The baked good are top notch! Definitely one of my top breakfast stops. Most importantly, Victoria is about the sweetest lady I've ever met. I've never wanted to be adopted so bad in my life. Is it weird to give and adoption proposal via yelp review? Oh well... Anyway, come here for delicious food, chill vibe, and an interaction with one of the sweetest persons I've ever met.

Sarah G.

Yelp
We had a perfect breakfast with wonderful, pleasant service and delicious local sourced food. We each had one of the specials and enjoyed every bite!! Must do stop for a relaxing and delicious meal.

Emily K.

Yelp
We came here for breakfast this morning while staying at The Atticus. Highly recommend! All of their bread is homemade (and delicious) and the coffee cake we ordered was still steaming hot from the oven this morning. All the food we ordered was fresh and coffee was solid. The staff were all so friendly and sweet! Cozy, warm atmosphere - we will be back!

Steve D.

Yelp
Everything you want in a neighborhood cafe. Friendly staff. Fresh baked pastries and wonderful food. Huge portions too. I had the special omelet with sausage, cheese and olives. Had to swap the bread out for a home made blueberry popover. Great decision! Omelet came with very large serving of hash browns. Yum! Wife had a half order of pancakes. Her 1 pancake filled the large plate. Everything was delicious. Service was fast and friendly and food was great!

Shawn O.

Yelp
Love love love this place. The food is amazing, the servers are fun and personal, the outside ambiance is perfect and dog friendly and I am happy to give 5 stars! The place is bigger than you think so don't just walk on by. My new fav spot!

Mikey L.

Yelp
I love this place; there is nice indoor and outdoor seating. It has a very homey feeling and super comfortable place for breakfast or lunch. Food might seem like a little, but I got filled up very quickly. And it tasted terrific; the quality was incredible and very fresh. Fruits and everything else are pleasant, and everything feels healthy and handmade. Overall, it is one of the best places to eat in McMinnville.

Patricia W.

Yelp
What a great little gem in the heart of McMinnville. My husband and I decided to have a midweek breakfast date and I am glad we came here. The staff was super friendly and informative about the specials and all of the homemade breads they have. We started with a homemade cinnamon roll which was delicious and I got the scramble special which had pasilla peppers, cremini mushrooms, smoked ham and gruyere cheese. I got the homemade potato sourdough with Marionberry jam to accompany it. You will not be disappointed if you come here. I can't wait for a return visit and do try other things.

Michele C.

Yelp
My husband and I wanted to have breakfast at a restaurant other than the one in our hotel. The Crescent Cafe did not disappoint. We were greeted immediately by the friendly staff. Service was attentive and food delicious. I had the caramelized banana pancake and hubby had the omelet special. Unless you have not eaten for days, order the half order of pancakes. The establishment is clean and inviting. We recommend the Crescent Cafe!

Shawna B.

Yelp
I love the breakfasts here. We have been several times and I'm never disappointed. Service has always been excellent also. It's a small place, though, so try to go in off hours/days.

Krista B.

Yelp
Super cute little cafe. We had great service and enjoyed both our savory crepe and our sweet French toast. Note that this is just half as they split it for us.

Bill Z.

Yelp
Amazing food, great and courteous staff! Atmosphere made you feel welcomed. Looking forward to my next trip!

Elaine K.

Yelp
POOR SERVICE AND FOOD. I was at the Crescent Cafe with a friend on Friday, October 11, 2024. The small restaurant was busy, and we had to wait 20 minutes. We shopped other stores, and returned after 20 minutes. We still ended up waiting a few minutes, as they were rather disorganized; one person not knowing what the other was doing. Unfortunately, the food was not very good, and service even less. We were ready to pay our bill, and asked the waiter if we could split the bill using our debit cards. He explained that there was no way to split the bill on the system. I mentioned how it would've been nice to have a sign posted for customers. He said that it was shown on the menu. We looked at the menu, and all it said was something like "we are unable to split a bill," with no mention of debit/credit card options listed. When it came time to pay the bill, we began to ask our waiter a few more questions on our options. He became impatient, and abruptly and rudely just walked away from our table My friend and I both looked at each other in shock, as we couldn't understand what had just happened. Within a few short minutes, a woman came over (whom I can only deduce to be the Manager), who began asking us about the issue with our bill. We explained that there was no complaint, and we hadn't even asked to speak with a Manager. We found it odd that she was automatically questioning us in a very defensive tone before hearing us out. All we could deduce was that the waiter went over and said something to make her think we had complained, when all we wanted were options on how to pay. We explained to her we hadn't complained but were asking for payment options. Perhaps the waiter was having a bad day, but to treat paying customers in such a rude, unbelievably immature, and ineffective way was sad. You NEVER treat people poorly just because you're having a bad day. We left a bit shocked, feeling verbally attacked by this woman (whom I'm assuming was the Manager). She didn't even act like she was listening to us. And honestly? All the waiter had to say to us was we could use cash to each pay separately--PERIOD. End of story. How hard would that have been?? But no, he had to make some ridiculous big deal out of absolutely nothing. I don't know who the owner is, but they need to have some SERIOUS words with their staff. Needless to say, I will NEVER step foot in that place again. Disappointing food · Slow service · Poor presentation

Bella J.

Yelp
This is a great place and I had a great lunch with my friends. I'd recommend this place.

Angela T.

Yelp
A little hidden gem in the small town of McMinnville. We had the most wonderful crepes, Greek yogurt and granola, pork and biscuit and gravy. The service was great, cozy and welcoming.

Di J.

Yelp
Excellent food, servers. Very friendly environment. Food delicious although a bit pricey. But that is pretty much everywhere now.

Donna T.

Yelp
Food was great. I had the banana pancakes and my husband had the corned beef hash. We both recommend.

Chris M.

Yelp
Generous portions of hot breakfast food. Try the bacon and provolone crepes, or the breakfast sandwich. Skip the pork biscuits and gravy. Unless you are a lumberjack, most entrées can be split between two people.

Louise K.

Yelp
Wish we didn't live 3 hours away; these were truly amazing! Great service and wonderful food. A definite keeper!

Rachel P.

Yelp
This place was amazing and the service was great. I had the special which was an egg scramble, I never knew eggs could taste that good... and the homemade sourdough english muffin with their homemade jam was AMAZING

Deb K.

Yelp
Great service, good food, good people! We came for a late breakfast on our way to Lincoln City from Portland. So happy we stopped here. There were six of us plus two infants and the staff were so sweet to us! I had the chia pudding with a side order of toast. Delicious but more importantly, all bread is made in house and while we only tried the oat one and cornmeal one, they were outstanding! If we lived closer, I'd be here every weekend!

Evelyn G.

Yelp
Such a cute place with both indoor and outdoor seating. Amazing food with great staff as well. One of my favorite places on third street.

Shane W.

Yelp
We liked the two dishes we got here at the Cresent Cafe. The French Toast was delicious, and the country fried steak was a hearty plate, if a tad underseasoned. Unfortunately, our experience was colored negatively by the table waiting system. We didn't mind waiting an hour for a table, but having to wait another ten minutes after the text that our table was ready was frustrating. It even interfered with our dining as others in the same situation were crowded by our table as we tried to eat. Again, the food was good, but the experience wasn't something we'd be keen to repeat.

Angela S.

Yelp
Visiting the area and we wanted a local place. Stopped here for breakfast and it was great! We got the ham and cheese crepe and the bacon and provolone cheese crepe. Large portions and very tasty. Quick and friendly service. Will visit again.

Alice W.

Yelp
How much did I enjoy Crescent Cafe? We went back the next day for second breakfast! Both mornings I had their vegetarian breakfast hash and each morning it was a little different. I liked both mornings appreciating the kitchen using what was fresh that day. Our waitress was warm, knew her menu and if it's not corny, made us feel at home (thank you!). Coffee was fine. My hubby had these sort of crepes with ham and cheese and they were worth stealing a bite by my daughter. My daughter had their scrambled eggs and sausage. Loved it. My only regret is we don't live closer. It is the kind of place I'd be a regular.

Tina Marie M.

Yelp
Food was okay. Not horrible and not great. Very busy place and the servers were moving fast accept our waitress who seemed to have an attitude. My husband and I asked for onion in our scrambled eggs. I also asked for spinach which they offer a spinach salad so they have the ingredients. When we ordered the waitress said "NO". I said excuse me? She said "No we don't do that". First, her attitude and customer service skills are really unacceptable. She came back and said we can't add anything to your eggs. We prep for our meals and we just can't do it. I said okay I don't want any eggs. She huffed and briskly walked off. Not sure why. Then back with the food and my husband said my eggs don't have onion. Oh we can't do that. It went on but please don't say you can't toss some onion in the eggs. We travel all over and have been to thousands of restaurants. I've never been told NO we can't put onions in your eggs. I get it's hard to staff theses days but the attitude and rudeness should never be accepted. If she would have said I'm sorry our chef won't alter the way we prepare the food. He will only make as described on the menu. But instead NO and walked off. This made the experience uncomfortable and unenjoyable.

Melissa H.

Yelp
Soooo cute! The service is over the top fantastic! And the food is delicious!! Definitely would come!

Brittany N.

Yelp
Wow! You could tell this was the Cheers equivalent of a breakfast restaurant! Everyone was greeted by name, and all the employees were equally friendly and welcoming! Beyond the luxurious crepe options (bacon and caramelized onion was chef's kiss!), they had instrumental music playing that added to the ambiance. Also worth noting - Their "lavishmint" was epic!

Whitney D.

Yelp
We are locals and love coming to this cafe especially when we have guests in town. The service is on point, the staff are friendly and you always see a familiar face. The food is impeccable and I've never had a flavor pairing that wasn't pleasing to my palate. Today we are dining and the waitress asked the table behind us how they'd like their bacon cooked. If you choose not to dine her I'd say you're missing out.

Louise G.

Yelp
Had an amazing brunch here! The restaurant is great with lots of seating, indoor and out. Everything is made from scratch here (including all of the bread) and it is really delicious. We had fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee which were both great, then got the breakfast sandwich and pork shoulder meatloaf per the waitress' recommendation. Both were outstanding and the homemade bread (cornmeal bread and English muffins) was incredible. The staff was lovely and service was great. We got a lemon poppyseed muffin to go and haven't tried it yet but very excited to! Apparently you can order bread on their website ahead of time, though they do sell some there as well. Overall great experience - would recommend and would go back!

Sherry S.

Yelp
Pretty decent place. The breads are all baked on site. We had the pork belly hash and pork belly appears to be in many dishes off their menu. Wasn't use to the small pieces of pork belly though and they were a bit chewy. It's a pretty small space so expect to wait for a table and it appears to be pretty comfy of a space so folks don't seem to be in a hurry to give up their tables.

Jason S.

Yelp
We have eaten here before and were very happy with the food, however today we ordered the pork bellly hash that took over 40 minutes and had cut up pork chop not pork belly. Our server was great and outside seating was nice that's were it ended very disappointed with food.

JP M.

Yelp
We spent the weekend in McMinnville and ended up eating breakfast here every day. The daily pastries are exceptional and the coffee is excellent! To top it off, super friendly and knowledgeable servers! Great job!

Matthew H.

Yelp
On a recent visit to McMinnvile I had the pleasure of enjoying an excellent breakfast at the Crescent Cafe. This is one of those places that is so popular it COULD cut corners, and absolutely doesn't. Even the jam served with the AMAZING house made bread is from Alchemist's Jam (just around the corner!) . I really appreciate a great, simple, yet perfect, breakfast place. This is it. Staff was very friendly and worked hard to keep things moving along.

Brytannie M.

Yelp
Perfect place to start your morning! Service - 5/5: we arrived at 9, were seated right away (others waited for maybe 10-20mins). Immediately we were greeted with water and a list of the specials. Coffees and waters were constantly refreshed, food came out in 15 minutes. The woman who served was the sweetest woman, so friendly! Food - 5/5 I got the veggie hash with 2 sunny side up eggs and cheese. So savory and good! My partner got the egg special which had brie and sweet and spicy bacon! They make all of their own break and you get to pick! I got the buttermilk biscuit and he got the potato toast (it was massive!). Ambiance - 5/5 very very clean. Within minutes of folks leaving they quickly cleaned tables. Very cozy and cute vibe with pretty hand pairings on the walls. Very close to all the shops! Highly recommend!

Jake F.

Yelp
YUM!!!! This place is so good! It's cozy, warm, the service is AMAZING, and the food is FANTASTIC! We got the Bacon and Provolone crepe, lemon crepe, and Rueben. The bacon and provolone was our waiters favorite, and there's a reason!!! If you only get one item, you need to get THAT! It's like a breakfast crepe, with scrambled eggs, bacon, lots of cheese, and onions. Plus this amazing balsamic on top! The lemon crepe is a delicious dessert, very sweet, like a lemon donut in a crepe form! I didn't try the Rueben, but it came with a soup (that changes every day I believe) that was a cream of sweet potato. Amazing!
