We were traveling through and decided to stop at this unique location for a "later than usual" lunch. The restaurant was nice, clean, and had a wonderful atmosphere. After checking in with the hostess, we were seated fairly quickly. However, in my opinion, the wait for our food was pretty long for just two people.
We originally ordered the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer, but our waitress had received news that they had sold out. So, we happily ordered the crabmeat wontons instead. Surprisingly, our waitress came to our table with both of the appetizers and apologized for the miscommunication (she did not charge us for one of the apps). Both of the starters tasted pretty good, but the mushrooms didn't seemed to be "stuffed" as described on the menu - just fried. By the time we received our main courses, we had already waited for almost an hour beforehand. As for our entrees, we just had the Cajun Cobb Salad and the bowl of gumbo. There was nothing too special or unique about either one, but they were light and able to keep us full for the rest of the summer day! I think this is a really cool place to visit while traveling through, but there are some areas that they still need some improve on.
