Stayed here as a family group for 4 nights to celebrate 70th birthday. Overall its a great resort hotel geared to outdoor activities in a superb location. The staff are wonderful. The amenities are plentiful for small kids to adults. Could fault the hotel at all. Food was good and the birthday lunch in the Winter Gardens was catered for well by the staff.|A few "niggles / suggestions"..|The hotel operates an email meal booking system which means you get many; & I mean many, emails prior to any booking for pre orders. This doesnt work that well for 13 people so we ignored them and attended our meals at our booked time and just ordered there and then..it worked. This had to be done at breakfast, lunch & dinner.|As it was a 70th Birthday we booked one of the Superior Suites (Room 123). The room was ok and the bed comfy. All usual things were available and the bathroom was good. However, given we had paid over £1300 for the 4 nights B&B I wouldve expected this room to be better. It was facing the mountain view and had an outside wooden patio (needs power washing)....but it was located over the rear delivery bay and adjacent to the roof vents for the kitchens. It was noisy 1st things with the delivery vans etc.|Would we stay again....... yes, especially with family and small kiddies.

Stayed in the self-catering houses close to the adventure centre. lots of space and lots of walks for the doggies. The adventure centre is huge with lots of activities for the kids. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. The hotel facilities are vast with great dining and drinks venues. What was fantastic was the kids centre/nursery, fantastic facility with a great coffee bar close by. Highly recommend for a stay with all the family including the doggies!

Had a great stay at Crieff Hydro with a 2 year old child. The children’s facilities are fantastic, including the discos, childcare and pool. The ‘train’ is a really exciting treat. There is so much there for children of all ages and for the adults. Used so much, cinema, driving range, putting green, discos and quizzes. The food is fantastic, make sure you book evening meals well in advanced if you want an early slot, if you fail Crieff has some great restaurants too. The setting of the hotel is lovely.

Me & my mum went to relax but there was too many kids ( great place for families though) I have 6 grandsons under 4 so this was much needed peace and quiet time. Overall lovely hotel under renovation and brilliant staff everywhere. Lovely grounds and so much going on activities wise. We visited the spa which was good. What was a big letdown for us was the food & if the hotel got this sorted it would be a great stay.

We and our two year old boy loved this place. So much to do, it’s much more than a hotel. Ball pool, pool, discos, cinema, games area, ‘train’, diggers, loads of playgrounds, quizzes, driving range, gym…, to name just a few of the things we did, with way more for older children too. The food was fantastic. Yes the rooms are not ultra luxury but they are absolutely fine and we spent most of our time doing things. All the children in our party loved it. The site and surroundings are lovely.

We had a two night stay at The Crieff Hydro hotel and had dinner (one night in the Brassier and one night in the East Restaurant). We found the hotel to be of a high standard and all staff were polite and courteous. The hotel is ideally located within Crieff and allows for easy travel in Perthshire. The rooms are spacious, modern and well equipped. Very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Will definitely be returning.

The room was incredibly spacious, with breathtaking views over Crieff, Perthshire, and the beautifully kept grounds — clearly the gardening team puts in the extra effort, the lawns looked immaculate. Everything about the stay felt thoughtful and high quality. One small thing I’d note is the lack of a coat rack near the entrance; I wasn’t quite sure where to hang my hoodie at first, but ended up using a hanger in the wardrobe. Otherwise, flawless, would absolutely stay again.||

We had a truly exceptional stay. The spa treatments were phenomenal, and the staff's kindness and accommodating nature stood out, with Margaret deserving special thanks for personalizing our experience so thoughtfully. The diverse bars and restaurants were everything we hoped for; we particularly enjoyed the Winter Garden for its delicious lunches and cocktails. Exploring the gorgeous, well-maintained grounds, especially the Victorian garden with its charming ducks and wild rabbits, was a delight. This is an ideal country retreat for both couples and families.

Yelp
Great hotel with a staff motivated to ensure you have everything you need. Beautiful rooms and grounds. Food is great and service top notch. There is so much to do here I am disappointed we only get to stay a night. Would love to return.

Yelp
Do you sometimes feel that the city is getting too much and you need some place to relax? Then you are at the right place at Crieff Hydro Hotel (about an hour from Edinburgh) I have been going there for years and I always found that the staff was very friendly. The rooms got renovated over the years and the interior definitely improved. To get a better room it always helps to complain, if not happy with things. For example we booked a room with a bath and we got a shower only. After complaining we got a new room but the heating did not work properly. Well, we could not turn it off, so we slept in a Sauna for a night! The next morning, after complaining again, we moved to a different room, and this time around we got one of the best rooms in the house. The Honeymoon suite with its own Jacuzzi! How romantic, or not! Crieff Hydro always has some special offers on: Dinner, Bed and Breakfast for very good pricing. The food is good enough for the price you pay, if not better. I like and enjoy the indoor and outdoor activities: Golf, Quad bikes, 4x4, swimming pools, Sauna, Riding.....and many more. A Fun place to be at any time of the year. It never gets boring. And my favourite place is the Winter garden where I can enjoy my afternoon tea! Hope you enjoy it too!

Yelp
I have been to Crieff Hydro many times before but for days to the activity centre to hire segways & quad bikes. I have stayed in the cabins for a hen party week but this was my first stay actually in the hotel. We got a great deal with itison for an overnight stay plus use of the Victorian spa and a bottle of wine. Great value. The hotel has had a boutique hotel style make over and I think they have a great mix of taste and opulence. It feels special but warm and friendly at the same time. Free wifi in the room - always good A choice of still or sparkling bottles of water in the room complimentary. Really decent bathrooms and the toiletries were from "The white company" which isn't bad at all. There was a choice of restaurant for dinner, we opted for the brasserie which is less formal and had two courses for £20 a head. Plenty of options and decent food. The Victorian Spa was very relaxing and they provide cordials & tea or coffee and fruit along with magazines and day beds to chill out on. You can drive there in under 90 minutes from Edinburgh and feel like you have really had a break away to re-charge your batteries. Keep up the good work guys!

Yelp
We came here for a Thursday/Friday stay with the kids and it was pretty good all round. Breakfast was good but dinner......I'd agree with a couple of the other reviewers and say it's not as good as it should be. We had a couple of problems with our bill which were sorted quickly and without any fuss which was good. The self catering challets look like a good option and have great views. There's plenty to do outdoors from some easy hill walks to pony treking to bike and quad bike hire and of course indoors there's a decent sized pool and a Spa too.

Yelp
I've paid a few visits to Crieff Hydro over the years but never had the chance to stay the night. They've got so many activities on offer that it would take longer than a weekend to take advantage of them all, but everything we saw was very well done. We had an all-inclusive deal for dinner, bed and breakfast - keep an eye open for special deals around the time you'd like to visit. Food was very well prepared and really tasty - from the Brasserie dinner to the massive breakfast, plenty there for vegetarians and omnivores. I had a lamb tagging with cous cous on the Friday night and was almost defeated by the quantity - really enjoyed it. The bedroom was of a decent size and the bed pretty massive (two singles pushed together, but you wouldn't know it). Check-out is a very civilised 11am, so no rush to clear out. ...and you can carry on enjoying the facilities long after check-out. We spent about four hours in the Victorian Spa, with its pool, steam room, sauna and so on. A very relaxing place to be and a great way to end our stay.

Yelp
Stayed here at the weekend and had a wonderful time with the family. Stayed in the lodges(cosey cottages) however unlike last time it was only 2 minutes from the hotel. We stayed before and it was a good 20 minutes walk last time to the hotel. I will be honest it was not the cleanest accommodation we have stayed in , the location made up for it. The weather was great so did lots of the outdoor activities which kept the kids busy. we did comment that we had not used a lot of the indoor facilities due to the weather being so good. Overall a good hotel for catering for families.
