A hotel with a very special charm. I guess it once was a very posh and elegant hotel, but since then it slowly wore down with the passing of time. Still it keeps a very niche charm and has great vibes. If you are looking for this, this is the place to be to explore this beautiful part of Andalucia. Their breakfast can also be recommended. We went there every morning of our 5-day stay, and liked it a lot. Especially the many sweets and cakes offered. Also VERY fresh and delicious fruits.

Centrally located with available parking at 10 euro per day, this hotel is an ideal base for exploring the city. Room decor can vary and is a little dated, but the building is fabulous and beautiful, featuring a wonderful central open air court yard.

Stayed one night and overall thought it was okay. I was expecting a little nicer and better facilities. The room was big enough, had a refrigerator and cool ac on a hot day. It needs to be renovated. The common areas are full of history but it seems like the current owners are just barely keeping pace with upkeep. This place is massive and so many nooks and crannies. I bet it is a nightmare to keep up. If you like history and architecture then give it a try. If you are expecting anything beyond basic rooms and accomodations, set your expectations accordingly. |Breakfast was a highlight and they do a nice spread, enough for most people with hot, cold, breads, pastries, fruit...|Wifi was open and good. Parking is tricky to get in and out. 10 euros a day. If driving you will need to park here because street parking is non existent.||Overall. Average but interesting.

Only good thing about this hotel is the location and decent pool. Being American the service was not ideal. I tried to call 6 different time before we checked in with no answer. My wife called the front desk from the room and was hung up on. You can’t get food at the pool and was told we aren’t aloud to bring food to the the pool either. There was only one outlet and in our entire room (on the other side of the room as the bed). The hotel maids were very nice though. Walls are super thin. It was advertised as sound proof but I could hear every door open and close and our neighbors having conversations. We also had a view with a balcony advertised in the room we bought. We were met with a window directly in front of another wall. Hopefully your experiences will be better than ours.

Fantastic! We were so happy with everything in this hotel. The location is ideal, it’s just a short walk to the port and Main Street. The building is fabulous with amazing architecture and the bedrooms are enormous. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of everything and the staff very kind and helpful. Booking through their website rather than booking worked out cheaper for us with parking and breakfast included so check it out. Parts of the hotel could do with some small updates but overall I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We stayed here for two nights in the junior suite. Excellent spacious hotel full of historic and religious items in an ancient monastery. Great peaceful atmosphere and excellent breakfast buffet. A nice pool but without (enough) shadow. Located between de nice town center and the railway station. Good choice, you will not be disappointed!

Good and helpful service. Front desk does a very good job and answer questions That would be the only thing that would bring me back here. The hotel condition however needs a lot of upgrades. The rooms are very old. Extremely old furniture, my bedroom curtains have holes in them. Old tiny fridge , old bathroom, bed is very tiny. Hotel seriously needs some updates. Good location , the hotel has a lot of potential that I don't think have been well exploited. The pictures on the website are a bit misleading. Good and well trained customer care.
