One of my favorite pizza places except during happy hour. Way too busy. The pizza is so yummy. Great if you like thin crust. I always ask to cook a bit longer. Not like they do in Italy, like my fav place in Sicily would make it!

We went for dinner and had the best dining experience. The staff was very friendly and attentive, our glasses were never empty. And the food was amazing. The eggplant was hands down the best I ever had! It was so tender and full of flavor. The mushroom pizza was equally exceptional. I will definitely be back for more. 10/10 recommend.

This was the perfect cozy restaurant in the East Village for delicious and well priced food. We had amazing service and the food was awesome and a great portion. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for comforting Italian food without breaking the bank!! And amazing happy hour deals!

Interesting eatery in East Village. We were in neighborhood and stopped in. The eggplant appetizer was exceptionally good. The pizza was good, but I want to go back to try more on the menu. If the other dishes are anything like the appetizer we had it will be impressive.

Great spot in East village for some amazing cockatiel and great pizzas and pastas ! Went here with friends and we had an amazing time! The atmosphere is fun and lovely and the service is great! We ordered some of their highly recommended items and did not regret it! Diavolo Pizza and the Ravioli were my personal favorite in addition to their delicious cocktails. Can wait to go back for their happy hour!

Amazing food! Best steak gnocchi I have ever tried! Service is great, the ambiance is very chilled. The pomegranate spritz is 100% great! The chef amazing! Definitely will be coming back I recommend you to come here. Oh and let me not forget to mention the Nutella pizza and tiramisu!! Obsessed

All of my dreams have been answered with this immaculate authentic Italian place in East Village. Incredible atmosphere and AMAZING PIZZA. Better than we had in Italy two weeks ago. Very good fried calamari. The pizza and bruschetta crust were tough. They make a good mojito, but the lychee martini wasn't balanced. The arugula in the salad and garnishing The dishes was yellowing. The kids enjoyed their pastas. The service was earnest but uneven.

Food was bomb. Service was bad. Like real bad... honestly this is was just our one server. He was visibly housed and slamming glasses of wine dropping thing and hitting things of the tables as he walked by. Then just disappeared... Also their online menu has happy hour on it but when you get there the say they don't have it

This place was pretty good! The pizza was not classic New York artisanal pizza, it had a simpler vibe but honestly was still delicious. The rigatoni alla vodka was delish too, as was the calamari! Service was pretty bad - granted, we were there on a very busy Friday night, but the servers were all pretty unkind and gruff.

This place is delicious! We came in starving after walking around all day. We got seated immediately at one of their cute high tables which are all decorated with dim lamps. The light from the table lamps really create a cozy ambiance in here. Our servers kindly greeted us and checked on us a couple times throughout the night. We all got an individual pizza and we each finished all of it! At first we didn't know if we should buy 3 pizzas for 3 people, but it ended up being the perfect portion size to each get our own. It probably helps that we came in starving but still! I can totally see this being the perfect date night spot.

10/10 service and 9/10 food! This is a cute spot in East Village that my friends and I stopped in on a Sunday evening. It wasn't too crowded but was still lively! I had the sidecar for a drink and it was delicious with just a bit of sweetness! Then our group ordered the calamari to share. It was good and lightly fried so I didn't feel greasy after eating it. We all got different pastas - penne alla vodka with chicken (they don't say the chicken is breaded on the menu but it looked good still), the penne arrabbiata (apparently super spicy for my friends who loves spice) and I got the spaghetti carbonara (a little too rich for me but was delicious and confirmed to not have cream!) Then our waiter gave us a complimentary pecan pie with vanilla ice cream just to be nice! Their pizzas looked fantastic and I would definitely return to try them out!

It's a decent pizza/pasta spot. The best is the pesto because they use a very fresh pesto and heavily slather it on the pizza. The other pizza was good too. The dough was not the classic neoplotan style pizza and no charred taste but the pizza didn't a huge "flop" factor which was good. The Arrabbiata pasta was average, the sauce was good but Arrabbiata isn't traditionally a challenging sauce to perfect and the pasta itself was giving barilla. Service and ambiance were good

Pizza was red baron and carbonara was congealed into one piece. They need more staff as well.

Came here last minute on a Saturday night after some drinks and was seated immediately. We split the pesto pizza and penne vodka and they were both INCREDIBLE. It had a very cute intimate feel and was super cozy, so it'd be perfect for a date night. My friend and I agreed we will definitely be coming back!

Crispiano is a St. Marks gem! Everything from the aperol spritzes to the Sweet Diavola pizza was superb. The staff were really sweet and the vibe inside of the restaurant was cozy and energetic! They also have plenty of outdoor seating. I really enjoyed my experience and will be back soon!

After a long day of 9-5, cheesy pizza and a glass(es) of aperol spritz would slap. We got diavolo pizza and the heat from the pizza eased all the stress from work. The jalapeños and grounded peppers infiltrate the tomato sauce, but it isn't overly bearing. The spicy salami wasn't too oily or salty, but was a great addition to the cheese. The margherita pizza was a good even of cheese and sauce. The basil gives a refreshing taste. For both pizzas, the bread was crispy on its edges yet soft like your traditional oven baked pizzas. The staff there were soft hearted as well, as they asked if we needed to switch tables because we ordered lots of food! They introduced themselves and talked about being open for a year. Overall, other NYC pizzerias might need to watch out...

Crispiano is a neighborhood gem! I love their happy hour specials, their brunch and the pizza. Try the pasta vodka sauce it's so so good! The interior is small and cozy, nice place for a date or a catch up with close friends. Service is a little slow but I think their a small kitchen and staff.

WOW! is all I can say about this place. We ordered a margherita pizza and a 4 formaggi pizza for the table. We didn't order any drinks this visit, but the spritz looked great (and was a very popular choice). The margherita pizza was classic and delicious - everything you expect from a margherita pizza. Where I was really surprised was the 4 formaggi pizza - I don't normally opt for pizzas with white sauce but it was SO. GOOD. I haven't stopped thinking about this pizza since... it's a must try! The staff was lively and interactive with patrons, and the service was excellent. They also have a great happy hour earlier in the evening - $7 for select drinks, and several of their food items for $8. I definitely see myself coming back in the future to try out their happy hour, and would recommend a visit to Crispiano if you're in the St. Marks area!

This place is legendary. The homie found this on tiktok for their happy hour and it did NOT disappoint. I was told an aperol spritz was $8 and I was sold. The pasta and pizza were also $8, and honestly SLAPPED. I was in shock. I don't know how they are paying rent at these prices but aye get it how you live! Shoutout to Noah, who is the GOAT of all servers. The homie was visiting NY for the weekend and was challenging people left and right to arm wrestle for whatever reason. Noah was the first one to accept, so you have to respect that even though he got CRACKED. Hands down the best happy hour in NYC!

I saw this restaurant had really good happier hour deals so we decided to come visit. If you come on the earlier side of happy hour, you probably will have little to no wait. We came around 5:15 and we're seated immediately, but by the end of our visit, there was a huge line. The spritzes were $8 and so were the pizza/pastas that were part of the happy hour deals. I got the penne alla vodka which was decent. It wasn't anything special or crazy good. It tasted like pretty average pasta that a friend could've made for me, but it was a good deal for the amount of food you get. My friend got the penne all arrabbiata which I like better than the dish I got since it had some spice to it. The server also recommended the margherita pizza with hot honey on top which I'll have to try next time!

It was just okay. Wasn't bad but wasn't amazing. We got the pizza and I think it was a little under done since it was a bit doughy and not quite crisp enough. The sauce was ok, bit sweet from what I remember. Our pasta was also nothing to brag about, we got the penne arrabbiata and it was cold in the middle which was a disappointment. Also be aware they do not have a full bar, only beer and wine (also no ginger ale as my friend was abruptly informed). The service wasn't bad but think the culinary experience could have been better. Will probably look to explore other pizza places in the area before revisiting.

I celebrated my birthday in January at Crispiano and it was literally one of the best birthdays that I've had! I did a private rental of the space that included food and an open bar. The food was amazing and there was more than enough to accommodate my group of 25. The drinks were crafted beautifully (Thank you so much, Kim!!!)! We were able to connect to the sound system and dance while eating amazing Italian food --I mean, does it get any better than that?! My guests were thoroughly impressed. This wasn't even the best part of my experience! From the hospitality that Harry showed through the booking process with answering my 10,000 questions and making sure I felt comfortable in selecting the restaurant, to the AMAZING AMAZING Artan who treated myself and my guests like family during the event and made sure the night flowed seamlessly - I cannot thank you enough!! Everything I thought of, Artan was already in the process of handling. As an event professional, it is very rare that I am wowed but Artan, Kim, and the team at Crispiano managed to do that. I will not only be back, but I am also thinking of other events that I can host here and I suggest you all do the same! Thank you Crispiano, for making my birthday one to remember!

Literally came in minutes before 7, end of happy hour. Surprised to see available tables and was seated right away. Ordered the 4 formaggi pizza and fettuccine bolognese, along with 2 glasses of Chianti. Pizza was decent although overwhelmingly Gorgonzola. I actually like Gorgonzola but it overtakes everything if used too generously. The bolognese pasta is Al dente the sauce felt a bit flat, needing salt and just more beefiness . Total "damage" $64 + tip.

We came in for a casual but delicious dinner and weren't disappointed. There are some knock out dishes and some that are OK. Here's what we got: Burrata Salad (5/5) -- delicious ingredients! Burrata and prosciutto were delicious! Penne Vodka (3/5) -- lots missing in this dish. A little too macaroni and cheese tasting. Regina pizza (4/5) -- delicious crust and sauce! I would totally order again. Just a little too much cheese for me. Margarita or Marinara would be my choice next time Will be back to support this new restaurant soon!

Tartufo Pizza is OMG delicious. As good as any we have had in Italy. All homemade everything here. Owner Niko has been making pizza for 20 years and it shows! Bravo, hidden gem at St. Marks & Ave A. So good we decided to order the Fettuccine Bolognese and just take leftovers home. So how was the pasta you ask? Don't bother. Breaks the ten out of ten scale! We rarely review but you can't go wrong here.

The happy hour menu definitely drawn me in, as $8 for a penne alla vodka is definitely a steal. I went in two times, and the first time we missed happy hour (note: it ends at 7, though a little ambiguous in the menu). We ordered the ravioli and pizza and it was DELICIOUS! I went in super disappointed since we missed happy hour, but the ravioli was lip smacking delicious. I am normally the person who eats 30% of the meals as my partner would finish the rest, but this time I made him split it half and half with me. That was how good it was. Although there were a few pieces of ravioli, each piece needed a few bites, so definitely big. Pizza was delicious, it was crispy and cheesy! Definitely something to come back for. We came back again for happy hour this time, and we ordered the penne alla vodka & spicy tomato sauce & a plain pizza with pepperoni. Honestly, you can skip the happy hour next time and just come straight for the food off the HH menu. :)

ABSOLUTELY DIVINE! The people were so amazing, and kind! We truly loved their truffle pizza and were melting over the hot honey. The secret code to get a prosecco shot added to the allure of this hole in the wall pizza place! 10/10

Great pizza, better atmosphere. Was supposed to visit my sister in Stamford Got on the train in Danbury. fell asleep and woke up at Grand Central so didn't get to see my sister but it worked out because I got to do something better: try Crispiano Pizza Bar. When I got off the train in Midtown I figured I might as well grab a slice, so I started walking around and couldn't find any pizza spots. It wasn't until I reached St. Marks Place and Ave A when I saw the glistening image of a cartoon man with a chef hat... I just knew there could be a pizza in there somewhere. JUST MY LUCK. I went in and sat at the bar. I got to know Genti pretty well and he recommended several life philosophy books for me to read, didn't have the heart to tell him I can't read very well. Never learned. I'm speaking this review into my wife John and I's shared iPhone right now and it is transcribing everything I say period so I ask Genti what his recommendations are. He says "NOT TO WORRY, I'VE GOT YOU BROTHER...." I leave my trust in him. I look to the back of the restaurant and see a man named Niko by the beautiful wood fired pizza oven, he is spinning 4 pizzas in the air at once. How is he doing that? Should I be taking a video of this question mark just moments later Niko brings me 4 pizzas. Margherita, tartufo, milanese, vegetarian. Well I don't like vegetables so no thanks but they didn't know that. How could they. I ate the whole margherita pizza in one minute. Blissful. i ate both the tartufo and milanese in one minute and 30 seconds. Wondrous. Genti had a bottle of prosecco that shoots like a gun and I thought the game was supposed to be that you try to get hit in the eye with it so I opened my eyelid and moved so i could get it in there. it stung,i let out a yell. they helped me get it out of my eye and then made me another pizza to help me feel better. Boy, it helped. "another milanese please." I ate it in 36 Seconds I Will be back

Yuuuge fan! Always great food, people and chill vibe. Smallish menu but everything is delicious. Beer and wine only but you'll survive. A nice oasis on St. Mark's that has legit Italian food. By far my favorite pizza in EV, and a strong pasta contender against Lavagna on 5th (be still my heart!).

Would give a 4.5 if I could. Really the only downside is that my group was a bit crowded at our table, we were a group of 5 and seated at a table for 4 which was a bit squished with plates, jackets, and especially as tables around us filled up. The more important part - the food! We shared the penne alla vodka and ravioli and the margarita and the 4 formaggi pizzas. The margarita pizza was your classic good pizza, and the penne vodka was very good as well. The ravioli was my personal favorite, the balsamic drizzle on top really makes the dish. It's been a few weeks since we ate here and I've still been wanting to go back to get it again. Overall would recommend, if you're going at a busy time it's definitely worth making a reservation as it will fill up. A great place to get food before going out, the combination we ordered was perfect (in my opinion) to not be hungry throughout the night but not feel too full.

Long wait time for food on a day where the restaurant wasn't very busy. Pizzas were only okay, not a whole lot of flavor, more greasy on the top than expected, and crust was a bit tough, especially once you're on the latter half of the pizza and it's cooled off a bit. Expected a lot better based off of their high reviews on here and on Google but couldn't help but feel disappointed. I didn't try the Spritz since it wasn't happy hour, but even pairing a $9 spritz with this quality of pizza doesn't feel worth it to me, especially with cheaper spritzes and better pizzas available at other spots. Maybe their pastas are better, but my experience was fairly average and disappointing.

I would call this such a hole in the wall place! My friends and I decided to eat dinner here after passing by and was definitely a great decision. Their food is incredible and the staff is so kind! I will definitely be going back here and would recommend going here to try their pizza or pasta!

Waiters were friendly and attentive. Happy hour deals (food and drink) were worth it. I split one HH pasta and one HH pizza with my friend and it filled us up. The food came out really quickly too. The restaurant is great for friends to get together.

A spectacular addition to St Marks & the East Village! Delicious pizza, pastas & clean healthy salads rich with flavor. Many great options for everyone in your party. A great place to have a solo dinner & also perfect (and accommodating) for large parties! Service is impeccable, food is top notch & the location is quintessential NYC! We will become regulars as we eat our way through the menu :)

Made it at 6:50 on Tuesday right before happy hour ended. It's a small spot but had enough tables to walk in without waiting. We ordered extra wine to get the hh deal. $8 glasses and a heavy pour so no complaints from me! I also tried the sweet Diavolo pizza and it was delicious! Loved the combo of hot honey, jalapeño, and pepperoni - I'll definitely order again! Not the biggest happy hour menu but good variety so there's something for everyone. Looking forward to coming back.

I am not being dramatic when I say that this is by far the best hidden gem that we have discovered in New York. The food that we were served here was better than anything I came across when I went to Italy this past February. Me and my boyfriend split the ravioli and the fettuccini bolognese, and I still am not sure which was better. They both were such explosions of flavor and had the best texture (you could tell they were homemade). Aside from the phenomenal food, the atmosphere in this restaurant was immaculate. It was a small restaurant with only a few tables, but was hosting two big groups of girls that were dancing on the chairs and taking shots of wine. It felt like you were transported to Italy when you walked in this restaurant and I will 100% be going back as often as I can!!!!

Ok. First let me just say that it was clear when I arrived that this place was popular. The outside area was full of people. However, my friends and I were able to get a table indoors. The space was small but still attractive. The bartender was attentive and the waiter was fairly fast at taking our order. The drinks and food... delicious! I had an absolutely amazing pizza!! I will be back for sure.

Had a really good night at Crispiano! So happy this new gem opened up in the neighborhood. The food was awesome and the ambiance, decor, service were on point, all for an affordable price. We really enjoyed the Caesar salad to start which had delicious well-seasoned dressing. We then ordered the Regina pizza with pepp. The crust was crispy and delicious and the toppings were on point in flavor and felt authentic. Genti our bartender provided us with awesome service and great conversation. The happy hour looks like a really good deal! We will be coming back for sure and would recommend to anyone!

Excellent wine selection and really friendly staff. The indoor/outdoor setup means you can get a seat at the main bar but still be outside!

This place just opened up and we were not disappointed! My boyfriend and I got the Margherita pizza, Tartufo pizza, and the Caesar salad and everything was so good! We got take out but the pizza still had crunch to it. The pizzas are personal (~12" or 8 slices each) but two pizzas definitely filled us up and we still had slices left over. Not to mention the staff was super personable and attentive. Definitely will be back soon!

Honestly impressed with this spot. Nothing mind blowing from a food perspective but the vibe is on point, the quality of ingredients are solid, and the staff/owners are down to earth. That's all I can ask for and I'll definitely be coming back. Milanese pizza was fantastic and the burrata and prosciutto were next level with crazy portion size. Overall great spot for a late night hang or casual date night. Grazie mille!!

Some of the best pasta I've ever had. And quite literally the best Izzy I've ever had. Service can get a bit slow at times, I recommend sitting at the bar with the cool bartenders who are always friendly and engaging. A friendly and comfortable restaurant to meet out with friends and a large group. Highly recommend.

This place was fantastic. Just opened up and brought some heavy hitting pizza making talent from some of NYC's best places. Can't recommend highly enough. Brings some quality to Saint Marks Place.

I placed an order on a Sunday night and while the food was ready quickly (which was nice) the pasta was alright but the tiramisu came so frozen it was inedible.

Happy hour that is *actually* a great happy hour with full meals and drinks! What a concept! My friend and I split the pesto pizza, which was DIVINE ! Rose for her, Cabernet for me. Arrived around 5:30, the joint was empty, left around 7 and was PACKED!!! Get to that happy hour, New York! Gente and Noah are the real deal. They are Friendly, and fun. I love that the brick oven and kitchen are exposed to the restaurant too. Try it, you're welcome.

They have nice prices for happy hour. However the food was ehh. I don't think I would come again. You can get much better pizza elsewhere. Also the place is small and cramp.

Phenomenal! We went on opening night and wow--what a treat. The pizzas are perfectly crispy and tasty. Highly recommend the Tartufo pie--truffle is unreal. Burrata to start is a must, as is the eggplant meleanze (unlike any I've had and so delicious). Penne Vodka was also a hit! You really can't go wrong here. Not to mention that the service is outstanding. Can't wait to return.

Just stopped by for another amazing meal during happy hour. Food, staff, drinks, and atmosphere did not disappoint in even the slightest! This is definitely a regular spot for me now!
