We chose this accommodation because it was close to coach and rail stations. I think it was a good choice as staying in the old town may be quite noisy! Our superior double room was large, modern, bright, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The communal kitchen and seating area was great with a small fridge for guest use as well. A fifteen-minute walk to the old town and a bit less to the Gros area. There is a supermarket within a five-minute walk too. All staff we came into contact with were extremely friendly and helpful.

Bit of a mad place. The building is the ugliest I have ever seen and the area not in keeping with the main areas of San Sebastián. Positives: The rooms are spotlessly clean and well thought out. There is access to irons and hairdryers. The bed is comfortable. There is a large window which has electric shutters and blinds. Free coffee machine and communal area. Vending machine with snacks and water. Staff are lovely. Free WiFi and safe in room. Short walk over the river to the centre. Negatives The rooms are noisy as the doors open onto the communal area. Outside the building is ugly. Charged £16 for 4 bottles of water from the vending machine !!! Previous reviews states gangs hanging around. We did not see this or feel ill at ease. Would I stay again? Possibly. The price is good.

I didn't stay here, but having made and cancelled a booking, wanted to leave a note about the mandatory check-in process. It requires you to upload your passport to an e-portal in advance, and to obtain access details via WhatsApp on the day, because there's no reception. Worth knowing in case those aspects cause you any problem... they did for me!

Non-traditional rooms (self check in) but we were able to leave our luggage at reception until our flight left in the afternoon. The location was good, we could walk to old town or the beach in about 10 mins, and it’s a pleasant walk. We had no concerns about safety (three women travelling), and to be honest it was kind of nice walking thru residential neighbourhoods on our way to do tourist things. The rooms are modern, beautifully designed, and the shower has excellent water pressure. The beds and pillows are comfortable — all incredible. We loved coming home every night after our adventures during the day.

Once you ignore the ugliness of the building (in fact, this is the best place to stay in San Sebastian as you can't actually see the building), this is a fantastic place to stay. It is a little bit out of the busy heart, but an easy 15 minute walk along the river takes you to the heart of the action. The hotel is spotless, the common area well equipped and maintained, online check-in seamless. They were always available online for any questions or concerns we had We also availed of the reduced rate parking (including some electric car charging) in the car park next door, which worked out perfectly. I can not recommend Cristina Enea Rooms highly enough, and look forward to visiting them again soon.

First of all it’s in the most high building in town so you can’t get lost because you see it from everywhere. Room is very big as the bathroom. Another plus is that the television can connect with your phone so you can watch YouTube or even your country’s channels if you have that app. Free coffee provided in the hall ! The hotel is next to the buses and trains and not far from the beach or the old town! It was a great value for money room!

Cristina Enea Rooms is located in a great neighbourhood and it’s right next to the Tabakalera cultural centre. When you come out of the bus station, look up. The Brutalist skyscraper is where you’re headed but don’t be put off by the exterior - inside it is bright and airy. Currently, due to station works, you must cross the tracks via a red pedestrian bridge. That basically takes you to one of the three possible entrances to the accommodation. |Ricardo at reception was welcoming and super-helpful and seemed to be there most days from 10-6. The manual code worked a charm for building entry the first time as did the swipe card thereafter. |As for the rooms, I liken this to a fancy hostel with rooms coming off a central kitchenette/lounge area. This is fine if your fellow guests are quiet during quiet hours (10pm-8am) but if not… Yes the walls between the rooms are very soundproof - no voices or even water pipes. The room doors, however, are heavy and most people don’t turn the handle so they bang loudly. Also, noise easily escapes under the doors of other rooms (crying babies, folks talking loudly after a big night). There’s so much to like about Cristina Enea Rooms - the location, very comfortable beds and pillows, great storage - but when the number one purpose of accommodation is to get a good night’s sleep then I’m not sure I can recommend…

Rooms are so comfortable and clean! 5 stars to the staff. Train station and bis station are just around the corner, super easy to pick up a train and visit nearby cities, like Bilbao, Tolosa, etc. La tabakalera is behind the building, so you can enjoy art exhibitions right away.
