Leaving an honest review because I feel like some of the others are pretty harsh, this hotel is indeed fairly dated however for the price you pay and the central location I would recommend and would stay again. The walls are a little thin but for the 3 nights we stayed there we had no complaints. House keeping make the beds and provide fresh towels and toiletries daily, the front desk staff are keen on security and guests must have a key card to enter the building and our bed was pretty comfortable. For the price you pay it’s pretty decent and if you expect more then I guess you pay more for a more modern hotel

It was a great location and reasonably priced. I liked the old fashioned style and I liked the character of the room. I don’t like rooms that are the same as the chain hotels. My room was clean, and it was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Importantly the air conditioner worked really well which to me is the most important thing in Perth. I liked that there was a fridge and a kettle. |The wifi was a bit weak (which they acknowledged) but the Netflix on their tv worked well. ||I just think if they completely restored/fixed it up then it would cost more and people need to realistic about it for the price. ||The staff were fine.

An aged and outdated hotel. Carpet appears to have water leaking into it and needs replacing. Staff were polite but not overly engaging. Room was a good size, but very outdated. Poor paint job/ paint peeling, dirty carpet. Shower was old, needs regrouting at a minimum. Very noisy, neighbouring room could be heard clear as day - they were making the most of the bed exercise for multiple hours. Could hear all street noise and every movement in the hallway. High price for the quality. Would not recommend. Would be a beautiful hotel if it was renovated.

For the location and the cleanliness , thumbs up 👍. The service quality of the Front desk staffs are varied. We encountered few very good one and also disappointed with 1-2. Simply impolite! Probably more supervision needed.

This place is disgusting. Do not stay here unless you truly don’t care where you sleep. The photos of the rooms on the sites look NOTHING like the actual room. The first thing I see when I open the door is grease and dirt marks above the pillows on the wall, which is disgusting, I had to pull the bed away from the wall as I didn’t not want to be sleeping next to that.. Stains all on the floors and the room truly stunk of bleach and carpet deodoriser. The paint was peeling off the ceiling and walls, marks and dents everywhere, rust/mould throughout the shower and stains by the toilet. The bed is hard and you can feel the springs dig in, and is topped with what feels like an overwashed towel instead of a doona. The aircon is loud and barely functional. The walls are also incredibly thin. The staff constantly say the manager is away, even after calling several different times, I’m sure they’re aware itll be a complaint. The wifi code I had asked for didn’t work. With no option for a refund unless you pay half. The bond was also $250 which is insane, I don’t know what someone could break in the room that wasn’t already close to being broken already. I could handle if it was just an old room and advertised as such, but it was filthy and nothing like the pictures. The only good thing is the location. Lesson learnt..

Central location is the only good thing about this hotel and wouldn't recommend it for anything more than a place to stay in CBD in a pinch. Its very old and run down, as clean as it can be I suppose. Worst part is the thin walls and constant noise, barely slept the whole night due to bad room layout where next room shower was right next to bed head, so constantly woken up by the person apparently showering and using the tap about a dozen times in one night. Corridors also very echoey and people walking through, in loud shoes and talking loudly until 2am. All in all, more tired than yesterday and next time would rather pay more somewhere else to be able to actually sleep through the night. Also as mentioned by others a $250 bond for this place is laughable and way overkill.

WORST STAY EVER! The room felt like a prison! Had to walk past 2 enormous baskets of dirty laundry to get to our room. The room was old and run down. The bed and furniture in desperate need of replacement. THE PLUMBING WAS SO NOISY! Paper thin walls Only good thing was the location

First timer and stayed for 5 nights, during New year holiday. The hotel is great for location (close to lots of tourist destinations, restaurants, and shopping centers). Walking distance to Perth Station, and Elizabeth Quay Station. The room was clean and comfy, and this two factors are important. However... The WiFi was so bad. I could not get it from my room (204), although my windows view was great (to the Hay street). No microwave in the room nor the sharing area. Well, at the end of the day, if you can tolerate those drawbacks, you still can enjoy your stay, like us.
