Criterion Hotel

We had such a fantastic Mother's Day at the Criterion! The staff were absolutely wonderful, and the thoughtful touches—like the bubbles and the raffle—made the experience even more special. And the food? Simply outstanding! I think I may have just enjoyed one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. Thank you for making our day so amazing—we'll definitely be back!

I purposely stopped here for lunch while travelling. The food was great and the bar staff were friendly. View is great looking across the water. I wanted to get a feel on the town and will definitely be back, massive lake fed by the Murray River, so very much a water sport location.

Awesome meals. Schnitzel salad and chips was great. Prawn linguine amazing. Cold beer on tap and nice wines to choose from. Great service Beautiful view. Will definitely be back back.

Horrible Experience! We stayed at Yarrawonga over Easter and you pay through the nose for food you wouldn't give to your dog. The chicken burger was not chicken it was just a whole heap of batter with a tiny skerrick of chicken in the middle. It tasted like I was eating a greasy batter burger. The pork belly was inedible - dry, overcooked and literally broke your jaw trying to eat it. Prior to sitting down for a meal we were completely ignored by barstaff cleaning and drying glasses. We had a table of 20 and at least half of us were not impressed. We will not be booking this hotel next year. The service and the food are well below sub standard.

The good: Happy hour pricing amazing Food was ok/good. The bad: Service subpar. Glasses not cleared, cutlery served after food, plates not cleared after 20 mins of a table of 7 all being finished. Not a busy night, 4 tables outside 3 inside. We wanted coffee 7.20pm but it wasn’t available with a fully fledged coffee machine sitting next to the kitchen? Was the staff not trained? Average

We had the calamari, the beer battered fish, Parma, Caesar salad, Korean wings, eggplant Parma, Greek bowl etc everything was 5 stars… the atmosphere, the service and especially the food. Highly recommended

Super fast huge parmi great flavours wife had some prawn pasta dish loved it. was real tasty place was busy a lot of people were sitting outside but I work outside so was nice sit inside with the aircon would highly recommend lovely old pub close to the water
