Stopped in for some late lunch and ordered 2 beers and the rump steak medium rear, which came with a leafy salad, which was nice and chips with a sauce, which I chose the mushroom 🍄 sauce. It was a nice meal. I followed it up with a cheese cake. The view was awesome. The staff member was friendly and helpful and the food came out in good time. The price was a little high for what we got. but still enjoyable experience.

Stopped for a snack and drink , lovely deck with water fans to cool you down. Enjoyed the view and the cocktail. Shared a plate of dips and olives, perfect for a light lunch

Horrible experience there and will never go back. My husband and I both ordered pork belly and it was disgustingly. Dry, stringy, doused in ABC sauce with plain white rice and some greens. We ordered fish and chips for our son and it was also disgusting. Tasted of old oil. The lady bringing our drinks over didn’t even smile at me or say a word to me when I thanked her for bringing our drinks. The inside area was filthy. Rubbish all over the floor, the high chair was grimy. No one came and checked on us and we left before we could even ask where the ice cream was that came with the kids’ meal. The pork belly tasted like it was cooked days ago and not even well the first time. It was absolutely foul and way too much sauce over everything.

to say this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had is an understatement. Went there a couple days after new years and granted it was busy but regardless, still the worst service I've ever experienced in my life. I walked in and waited 5 minutes before being acknowledged where it was me who had to ask the bartender if we can have a table which he replied just find a table and sit wherever. After being seated did not get acknowledged again and had to seek a waitress out myself to get the table cleared and wiped down to which she begrudgingly sighed, rolled her eyes and nodded. Following this I waited 20 minutes for a lemon lime bitters that was ordered on the QR code. Waited a total of one hour for the food to come out where the chips were cold and once the waitress did come to clear the table she only got rid of the previous drinks and left the previous customers food sitting there on the table. The waitress then proceeded to only bring one glass for 3 customers when I asked for some table water and never proceeded to bring the rest. Not once did I feel welcome there, or as if anyone actually wanted customers there every single waiter, waitress and bartender was rude, unprofessional and just down right miserable. The waitress being fully aware of everything that happened not once even apologised or gave any reason for the hour long wait for food which the food was very average at best. I can understand it being a little busy with a few tables packed but a sorry or acknowledgement would have made it acceptable but it seemed like not one single person in this restaurant cared. I never write reviews but this was deserving of it given how embarrassing the service was.

Very Nice Food Was Excellent. Water Was Very Tasty And Crisp. Waiter Was Trainee And Doing Well. Food Came Nice And Fast And Everyone Was Served In Around 10 Minutes. Burger Was Tasty. Pool Table In Back Was Wn Exquisite Flavour. The Only Thing Holding This Place Back From 5 ⭐️ Was The Price. Overall Great Place. Would Come Back

After attending the criterion hotel on New Year’s Day I was very very disappointed as a person who lives in Yarrawonga, taking my family there for afternoon drinks and being stung with a 15% surcharge, service was so slack and the place was very untidy and unclean. Table is very sticky not clean down and serviettes all over the floor, I understand people have to take a surcharge on public holidays but if you’re going to charge someone 15% surcharge then I expect to be eating and drinking in a clean location will not be returning there at any time soon. Terrible customer service from most, with the exception of the young bloke who called us to change out seating from outdoor to indoor due to the rain. One guy dropped a cleaner bottle onto the floor, splashing all over our legs. There wasn’t an offer to grab some paper towel for us Chicken Kiev was somehow bland and the rice was cold when it came out. The rice also tasted like one of those microwave packets with coconut flavour in it This place could be really really great with the view of the river out the back but misses the mark by a long shot

Attended the Criterion for dinner and I must say the Service and food was incredible. Would recommend to everyone traveling through or even local to stop past for a meal or atleast a nice cold beverage. Will definitely return again! Good the to the team at The Criterion
