"Church of St. Euphemia For mind-blowing views of the Rovinj archipelago, visit this hilltop church and climb the bell tower, which features a copper statue of Saint Euphemia that rotates around its axis as the wind blows. On a really clear day, you’ll be able to spot the Alps in the distance. Afterward, explore the church itself. Constructed in the early 18th century, it’s a remarkable feat of Baroque architecture, with richly decorated altars, beautiful paintings, a marble sarcophagus with relics of Saint Euphemia, and a Venetian-style facade that was added in the late 19th century."
The Church of St. Euphemia is truly one of the highlights of Rovinj. The architecture is magnificent — elegant Baroque design, beautiful details inside, and a facade that reflects timeless Venetian influence. Every corner of the church tells a story.
It’s wonderfully located right by the sea, and the views are simply breathtaking. From the hilltop, you get a charming panorama of the Adriatic and the old town below.
One of the best parts is climbing the bell tower. The stairs are a bit steep, but totally worth it for the incredible 360° view at the top!
Also, the staff and volunteers at the church were extremely kind and helpful. They answered every question with a smile and made the visit even more enjoyable.
Highly recommended — peaceful, inspiring, and unforgettable.

The church is nice but nothing special. The tower visit is worthwhile experience.
Going up the stairs is an adventure which keeps the old structure untouched. The panoramic views from the top of the tower are breathtaking.

The thing that stands out on Rovinj panorama is this Church with its tall bell tower.
It's perched on top of the hill of Rovinj old town peninsula. A maze of old stone streets leads up to it with many interesting craft and art shops. Beware, these stones are pretty slippery even totally dry.
Once up you're greeted with an elegant 18c Baroque Church with a white marble facade. During our visit there was a wedding which added to the atmosphere. Great views of Rovinj and Adriatic from up

The Church of St. Euphemia is the heart and soul of Rovinj. Perched atop the hill, it watches over the town and the sea like a silent guardian. Inside, the atmosphere is peaceful and contemplative — a cool refuge from the summer heat. Gentle organ music often fills the space, echoing through the high vaulted ceilings and adding to the sacred, timeless mood. The baroque interior, marble altar, and relics of Saint Euphemia create a sense of awe and quiet reverence. It’s not just a church — it’s an experience of stillness and beauty that stays with you.

A very large church, elaborate interiors more reminiscent of Cathedral type spaces. Colorful and detailed in a way that draws the eye in many different directions. I took time to explore the interior before paying a small extra charge to climb to 60 metre tower. Soon rediscovered my fear of heights as I made my way up the narrow steps, every one of which you can see through to the flight below. The climb is worth it for the views from the top in all directions. Expect it to be busy, and to have to wait in turn for your perfect photo opportunity. Also be prepared to wait on the steps as others pass up and down.

A nice walk up cobble stone streets to a beautiful church. (Wear flat, comfortable shoes) For a few euro you can climb the ancient wooden steps up to the bell tower to experience beautiful views of Old Town and surrounding areas of Rovinj.

Very beautiful church. We were lucky that there weren't many people in Rovinj at the end of June. The church is modest inside, it breathes a completely different atmosphere with lots of lit candles.

Personally, I felt extreme inner peace, solemn and divine presence all around and tranquility I felt only at a few more similar places. A picturesque walk through Rovinj's Old town is spiced by reaching this lovely church on the top which speaks centuries old stories of the people and their lives through time. The views from there r very beautiful and the whole vibe is amazing.
Only a reminder if u plan to go there, the stony cobbled allies leading up to the church can be very slippery and make sure u r walking safely while climbing up.
