Crocketts

Eating out can be a bit hit and miss with so many places serving mediocre food. I’m glad to say Crocketts is not one of those places… the combination of flavours, colours and textures was superb. Chef (Ross?) has obviously thought hard about his menu and the dishes reflect his attention to excellence. It was so good I had desert too. Green tea pan cotta with coconut sorbet and an apricot coulis. Amazing. Thank you Crocketts, a meal much enjoyed.

Shame on us, we live local and hadn’t been before, big mistake . Absolutely amazing food, the Malbec was very nice. Service by Alex was great in a full restaurant he had it all under control. The pudding was divine

Amazing! Fantastic food. Nice staff. Went above and beyond to provide our favourites and cater to the vegan and pescatarian. Can't wait to go back!

Ross, is not only a friend but an amazing chef. His tapas menu is second to none; comparable to some of the restaurants I ate in Sevilla a few years ago.

Cracking little restaurant. The food is absolutely first class and very reasonably priced. Homely decor and comfortable seating - a lovely atmosphere - highly recommended.

I eat here whenever I'm staying with relatives in the area & quite honestly it's gone from strength to strength in a way I would hardly have thought possible. Normally the chef serves an excellent range of tapas but as it was the Presteigne Music Festival he raised his game further with a three-course meal featuring aptly-titled dishes such as Wolfgang's Wienerschnitzel & the Nutcracker Sweet. My Drummond bass (I had to think about that one) was the best sea bass I'd ever tasted, served with potato puree, pickled turnips, samphire, matchstick fries & watercress oil. How does he even think of combining these things & know that they will work perfectly together? Pure genius!!

Two excellent meals at Crocketts this week during the Festival. Food imaginative and beautifully cooked, good wines (can recommend the Negroamaro especially) and really excellent service. Good value for top quality. Ross is a great chef.

Really amazing quality food. It's tapas but the portions are really big, more like mini plates. But, what is more impressive is the quality. I have no idea how to describe tastes in words, but I would highly recommend going there and trying it. If I'd ordered this in Central London, I'd have been impressed. For Presteigne, it's a miracle
