Excellent attraction! It was a wonderful experience and we learnt so much! We got to walk through a crocodile enclosure, hold a snake, feed some animals and hold a tiny crocodile! The tour lasted about 45 mins which was perfect in the summer heat! There is a small playground at the end and a large gift shop.

Google
Great activity for the whole family. The private tour was easy to walk and stroller friendly. Lots to see and interact with. Our tour guide Aldo was very patient with our curious 4 year old and very knowledgable.

Google
Fun and interactive experience with animals. We saw deer, crocodiles, lizards, snakes, parrots, turtles, hairless dogs, and wild cats. You can get up close with a lot of these animals. I highly recommend, especially for those used to zoos in the US - you’ll get a very different experience.

Google
I love this place. One of the highlights of our trip while we stayed in nearby Puerto Morelos. Glad we finally went after seeing it in years past. The guided tour, offered in Spanish or English, was great. Being able to see, touch, and feed some of the animals up close was fun. Many of the critters have some sort of local connection to the Yucatán. They all appeared to be well cared for. The zoo gives people an opportunity to learn about them in a safe setting.

Google
I enjoyed it, tour guide was good.. Make sure you spray your self in lots of mosquito repellent before you go in.

Google
Worth every penny. First off wear long sleeves legs and arms there are a lot of mosquitoes. You can tell the animals are so well looked after. The guide was super knowledgeable and we enjoyed our private walk around very much. The children loved holding some of the animals. They learnt so much in this time.

Google
Croco Cun Zoo is a wonderful place for those who want to experience exotic animals up close. Our guide Aldo was friendly, communicative, and very knowledgeable – he introduced us to all the wildlife in the zoo. This place left us with truly great impressions. Thank you!

It was rainy when we went but we were still able to see the animals. Very nice and smart birds. A nice trip for small kids.

Yelp
Good experience. It's located near the resort I was staying at. I wanted to do something a little different and I have always loved seeing animals so this place was my cup of tea. Price was about 35 USD with the option to pay for a bag of food at an additional charge if you want to feed some of the animals during the tour. It is a walking tour so be prepared. FYI the monkeys are not part of the zoo they are just wild animals and our tour guide advised us not to feed them. The tour guide I had was very friendly as well as knowledgeable about all of the animals. She was more than happy to answer any questions that I had about the exhibits. It wasn't crowded at all and I got to take my time exploring and learning about the native wildlife. I would definitely do it again and bring my daughter when I come back to Cancun.

Yelp
We absolutely loved this zoo! The tour was great with interactions with alligators, snakes, crocodiles, parrots, dogs and deer. They have a small playground and gift shop that was nice as well. Very good for the price, but a little far from the hotel zone in Cancun where we were staying.

Yelp
We went here as it was close to our resort. Very fun and interactive. You get a guide that explains all the animals and lets you feed and hold them. Can't remember our guides name but she was younger and very good and funny. We enjoyed it.

Yelp
Personnel has excellent knowledge of all the animals and makes it an amazing experience that allows you and your family to enjoy this outing. Recommend to all!

Yelp
Great for young kids or people who don't want to walk a ton. 1 hour and get to see a variety of animals. Got to walk into the croc enclosure which was cool as well as hold and feed other animals. Skip the prearranged transport and just get your own taxi cheaper

Yelp
This is a fun little stop off the highway! It is an animal sanctuary with mostly local species. The unfortunate reality is the masses like to purchase animals/reptiles that are not great as pets. As a result, this place was created as a safe place for these animals to live out the rest of their lives comfortably when their previous owners no longer were able to provide adequate care. The guides are very passionate about the animals and treat them with respect. It's a really fun and interactive tour that takes about an hour and is great for all ages!

Yelp
I was really looking forward to this as it has amazing reviews. We bought 2 bags of food even though they said one was enough, I wanted to be sure. What they don't tell you is that you are not allowed to hold the food you buy. They hold it and give you a peanut, pellets or a couple carrot sticks. We were looking forward to holding a crocodile. We only got to pet it. We did get to hold a snake. You can't touch any other animal. We did see lots of monkeys in the trees and a couple of them even had babies. All in all, the gators have nice enclosures. The rest of the animals, from what we saw, not so much. Unless they're only 'display' enclosures, it's sad. Our guide was very nice.

Yelp
We took a group of to the park today. The staff was super friendly and informative. This is the first time I've ever been here but certainly will not be the last.

Yelp
David was an amazing guide! He was absolutely awesome with our little kids even getting down to their level to show them animals and help them feed animals. He also made sure we were getting the best photos! The tour was great! Lots of different sizes of crocodiles, snakes, deer, Mexican hairless dogs, turtles and many more. Took about an hour and kept a two and 4 year old entertained. Highly recommend buying the food to feed the animals for the extra $2.

Yelp
The good: the staff are nice, the environment was nice and the guide we had was wonderful-warm, friendly, full of corny jokes. The less good: since COVID some of the former animal interactive experiences have been stopped for the animals safety. Good for them but less fun for us-what can you do? If you're in the area (especially with kids) I'd say check it out once....it's not crazy expensive but it's enough you probably don't need more than one visit.

Yelp
I miss this place. It's a cute little zoo with an amazing initiative. All the animals have been rescued so unlike other zoos they don't buy their animals. I wish some of the animals had more room in their enclosures but good to see that animal conservation is an initiative in an area like Cancun.

Yelp
At $30US a person, it's pretty pricey. But then again, where else can you pet so many different kinds of animals, including a crocodile, and get a personalized tour. The guide was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The Mexican hairless dogs were particularly interesting to be able to pet, and you even get to see wild monkeys that come into the zoo on their own accord. And then there's the crocodile walk, where you get to feel pretty cool for walking right past big, loose crocs. I wish you could pet the ocelot! It's just north of the main exit for Puerto Moreles, on the West (northbound) side of the highway.

Yelp
Awesome tour, got to hold birds and a snake. People should really stop by and check it out. The food was great people here are so nice as well.

Yelp
Drove by Crococun so many times before stopping to see. Discovered it was well worth a visit, especially if you have kids or are a big kid yourself. I've never been to a petting zoo that had crazy monkeys swinging in the trees just above your head. I think they enjoy messing with the people. They don't have an enclosure - they just live there in the trees. Muy bueno. Some of the animals seemed more normal than some of the visitors, but maybe we went on excursion day. LOL Maybe I better shut up before I offend someone. It somehow goes against my conditioning to walk through an enclosure with 100 alligators, but maybe I'm just conservative. They had some cool Mexican hairless dogs in an enclosure that came up a ramp to play. They took a liking to me since they could tell I'm a dog person. The other visitors were freaked that I petted them. I guess they feared being attacked by hairless dogs in a crocodile zoo. I've never seen a zoo where the animals come up a ramp to play with you. Viva Mexico.

Yelp
This looks like not much from the outside, but they offer educational 1 hr tours. All animals are rescues. Nice for kids

Yelp
This place is a bit between Playa Del Carmen and Cancun in the River Maya area. This park is basically a rescue for all the crocs and snakes they find the in the local area that people have taken as pets but can no longer take care of them. For around 366 pesos per person, you get a guided forty five minute tour through the park where you are given information about all the animals they have there. In this park you're allowed to hold a croc, a snake, a bird and feed almost all the animals except the crocs of course. If you ever wanted to get close to crocs, they even let you walk into their pen area and walk near them, kinda scary really. For this place being so cheap, about thirty USD per person, its kinda of a cool thing to visit. Its not hard to get to, as its right off the freeway, but its kinda out in the middle of no where as far as taxi fares go.

Ryan P.

Yelp
Amazing! If you have the opportunity to visit, go! It is well worth the visit. I went with my fiance and we had the pleasure of having Joshua as our tour guide. He answered all the questions we had and accommodated to speaking in English for us on the tour! We held a crocodile and snake, fed turtles and hairless dogs. Truly an amazing experience!

Yelp
Four issues here (1) It is sadly Disneyland-esque, even ending with forcing you through a gift shop to leave. (2) You can only go through with a guide, which IS informative, but, when the little tour is over you HAVE to leave, adios! Want to look longer at the crocodiles? Sorry, time to go. Want to spend more time with the parrots, nope, your time is up, tip your guide and get the heck out (via gift shop). The tour was maybe an hour, for some people it is enough I'm sure. (3) The animal habitats are FAR TOO SMALL and it is really sad!! A ton of animals crammed into each enclosure, it was sickening to me. And they rubberband baby crocs mouths shut so tourists can safely hold them. (then they take the band off) (4) I thought is was very expensive for a one hour experience, but, i was also glad to leave because it is depressing. After all, it is 1. a zoo, and 2. a Mexican zoo. That said, here are the pros (1) it IS a place to see some tropical animals if you have not before, great for kids, though it is not a natural environment, and, (2) they have full time vets and sometimes take in animals that are injured and such, so they are doing some good works. One reviewer said it is a rescue for crocs and snakes in the area. Not so. They DO sometimes take in animals that need rescue - but - they also BREED crocks. Not good. I was in Puerto Morelos for a month and learned quite a bit talking with the locals. This is not a place that is good to support. A natural experience of this area's jungle is just down the road for a mere $10 at Yaax Che Jardin Botanico del Dr. Alfredo Barrera Marin (largest botanical gardens in mexico). You won't see crocs, but you'll see lots of other things and it is totally natural.

Yelp
What an awesome zoo! Loved our personal tour guide made the experience once in a life time. We got up close and personal with many animals including crocodile, macaw, hairless dog, and snake just to name a few. Highly recommend it to children. My five year old daughter loved it!

Yelp
Had a great time at this zoo! My 4 year old got to hold a crocodile, snake, and deer. We've never experienced anything like it! Our tour guide was great! Don't forget to bring bug spray! We got some at Walmart 100% deet and didn't get bit once :) Have fun!

Yelp
Evelyn was the tour guide and did an incredible job in explaining and answering questions. We had a wonderful time at Crococun Zoo. We were in Cancun for an afternoon wedding and thought that a 1 hour guided tour at this petting zoo would be a good way to spend the morning. We were blown away! So many great first experiences. Holding a crocodile, Holding a small boa constrictor, Petting and feeding Mexican hairless dogs, Feeding deer And walking among crocodiles --wow Highly recommended

Yelp
It was great experience. Staff was knowledgeable and entertaining. You wash hands before you start the tour and after you touch the reptiles. It's a great place for family. They do good work here. It has a variety of animals and reptiles. It's not a zoo it's a rescue sanctuary.

Yelp
Our second visit to Crococun Zoo on Tuesday after many years. There were a number of improvements and addition of small cats and hairless dogs. Many of these animals are rescued and especially with the crocs and reptiles, they are in impeccable shape. This is a unique experience and though a little pricey for a guided/timed zoo, it is worth the visit.

Brandi P.

Yelp
What an interactive experience! Our guide Andres was very knowledgeable of all animals and answered all of our questions. Would 100% recommend for family fun.

Yelp
This place is terrific! Exactly the type of experience you expect when you travel outside of the US, where everybody wants to tell you what's safe for you and your kids. The tour guides were very animated and professional and you get an up close and personal experience with some awesome critters, from the many crocodiles, to monkeys, to deer, snakes and parrots. Treat yourself and talk a walk among the crocodiles!

Vivian C.

Yelp
Fantastic experience. Held a baby crocodile, walked through an enclosure of crocodiles, fed a macaw, kissed by a macaw, saw a monkey mama with her baby swinging on trees above us...........interactive journey. Tour guide was knowledgeable & charming. Strongly recommend for animal lovers & conservationists.

John S.

Yelp
Small and personal and great for getting up close to all the animals. I recommend getting the food for the animals. Staff were very friendly and informative. This was great value for money and worth stopping at if driving between Cancun and Playa del carmen

Andrew G.

Yelp
Very cool experience... Went with my girlfriend and we loved it. Families would love it too. A personal tour guide walks you through. We held crocodiles, fed deer, fed monkeys, fed parrots... Walked inside the large crocodile pen and we literally standing next to them. Very cool.

Daisy T.

Yelp
The guide did an amazing job. Definitely worth the visit. You can tell the guides are very well trained and are super enthusiastic about working there. My youngest brother was fussing because he didn't want to see the animals and in the end the guide had him hooked ! My family loved it. I would do this again
