After a long, long drive we stayed one night at the end of September to be in the park before making our way through the Kruger from south to north. Crocodile Bridge Rest Camp is smaller than some of the other rest camps in the Kruger, and 2nd busiest out of the 4 we stayed at. It is nice and flat with quite large pitches that are defined. There is electricity points that are shared between 4-6 pitches and water taps. Each pitch has a movable braai and there are quite a few trees for shade with monkeys in watching for an easy meal. The ablution blocks are ample and clean and there is a laundry too. Washing-up areas are roofed stations that are dotted around, which also have electric hobs to cook at. The one closest to us had 3 out of 4 working but only one ring on each. There is an instant hot water geyser on the wall which people tended to use to fill flasks for their early morning safari. There is no restaurant at this rest camp, but there is a souvenir gift shop that also sells supplies, and a little coffee shop next to it. Close by is the petrol station. We liked Crocodile Bridge as it was nicely laid out, and even though the pitches were dirt there was a large grassed area between the camping and the chalets, so perfect for children to have a play. The reception area for booking in was quick and simple and went really fast as we had pre-booked our stay.

Very nice little camp. Close to the road, so a bit noisy at the fence. Ablutions are good and camp sites are nice. Chalets and permanent tents available. Shop is small but well stocked. Petrol station is useful. Gate times are more flexible here.

Great little shop with friendly staff. But no disability toilets at reception. Had to use the campsite facilities. Again very debatable design with grab bars wrongly situated, toilet paper out of reach and extremely crampt shower. Again, SANParks make life difficult for wheelchair users.

One of the quieter camps but lovely! Getting out the gate in the morning you see a lot of animals early into the drive. Accommodation is lovely. One of my favourites.

Hi fellow campers, we have not camped at this camp before, however we made a day drive down the H4-1 and H4-2 to Crocodile Bridge, Had a breakfast and rode the S28 back up to Lower Sabi..then on to Skukuza. On the S28 we saw a Pride of Lion's right next to the road..an awesome site.

★★★★★ Incredible wildlife views & warm hospitality! We stayed at Crocodile Bridge Hotel just yesterday, and even though it was a short stay, it left a lasting impression! There was a small mix-up with our booking date, but the staff was extremely helpful and quick to solve the issue. Everything was rebooked smoothly, and we immediately felt welcomed and taken care of. The lodge has a very familiar, intimate atmosphere – it’s not a big resort, but that’s exactly what makes it so special. It’s cozy, charming, and beautifully located. The food was delicious and clearly made with care. But the absolute highlight – without a doubt – was the unbelievable wildlife view. The lodge is right by the river, bordering Kruger National Park, and from the comfort of our room, we saw hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffalo, and so much more! It honestly felt like a private safari just from our veranda. Every room seems to offer these amazing views, which truly makes this hotel one of a kind. If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic stay with front-row seats to Africa’s wildlife – this is the place!

Best camp in south of Kruger. So clean. Reception efficient

As a tourist location, this place is a disaster. The toilet amenities were disgusting. The slow degradation of infrastructure is rampant across the Kruger Park.
