This campsite is in a beautiful, convenient spot, but it really needs some work. The campsite is facing the road to the staff village where there is a lot of traffic, it is noisy and the staff even walk on the road. The staff at the gate are loud and very noisy. Unfortunately this ruins the bush atmosphere. The bathrooms have very poor water pressure and the tiles on the floor need replacing. It is such a pity as it is an ideal area.

Well it was definitely better than berg n dal rest camp. Only I wish there was a pool and a private owner restaurant. The convenience store is quite small and minimal. Was a good sleep over for a night not meant for many days. The beat part of this stay was waking up to elephants and warthog, buck etc walking close to the room near the fence. Best in nature close to animals untamed experience. Bonus is that it is on the Crocodile river. I wish there was more water but that's in God's hands to make some rain. Lovely trip all in all

First impression on arrival... the grounds look clean and well maintained with huge shade trees and grass. Small caravan park with nice shady spots to camp under. The shop small but well stocked. Coffee station unmanned and coffee machine in dire need of cleaning, but otherwise fine. Loved the display of various animal skeletons and the small plant nursery. Huge problem - no swimming pool!

We stayed at Berg En Dal before coming to Crocodile Bridge, and such a difference! Whilst there is no restaurant, there is a coffee bar and shop. It’s also 100 times more organised so you actually get a camping spot! We also stayed in a Bungalow one night which had air con, outdoor kitchen and was clean. Would stay there again for sure. It’s a very quiet camp and views of the river and if the park (right on the perimeter fence) means you get to see wildlife close up. Take a big torch to scan at night! The organised game drive was superb. And there is a nice spot on the first turn to Malelane which is brimming with wildlife and a great view in the afternoon. Lee spotted a few scorpions in camp but they were small and harmless!

This is a small camp. It has a lovely shop which is well stocked and the coffee shop is great. There’s monkeys, bushbuck and warthog wandering the grounds and loads of birds.||Tents are small and very hot. They are also very close together. We may as well have gotten out of bed and joined our neighbours conversation one evening. We heard every word. ||The rondavels on the river get the noise of the dam so book a Rondavel facing the bush and steer clear of the tents. The Ronda els are also fairly close together.||Apparently you must wash the shower after you have used it in the communal shower block. There’s a mop left in the bathroom for this purpose despite no sign asking you to do so. One extremely angry man lost his nut at my husband the first night for not doing this! ||Not sure I would stay again.

We did not stay over at Crocodile Bridge and only stopped there on our way to Lower-Sabie. SANParks is continuing to upgrade and do maintenance on the facilities, and CrocodileBridgehas improved since our last visit. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Thank you.

This is a quaint camp just inside the south-east border of Kruger Park. It does not have a restaurant, so this is considered a self-catering camp. The bungalows are very basic, but very comfortable and give the feel of a genuine African safari experience. One advantage is that they come with a fully stocked kitchen, with everything you need to prepare your own meals. For us this is the perfect launching place for our day-long visit into Kruger National Park. Surprisingly, they have a fairly extensive gift shop, too! We love hearing the hippos at night!

While I didn't stay at the Crocodile Bridge Rest Camp, I enjoyed my day visit and found the areas I explored to be beautiful. The Park Shop, which I've reviewed separately, offered a good selection of unique items ranging from curious to fresh and frozen essentials. Right next door to the Park Shop is a charming coffee shop and a nursery. The nursery sells local plants with their permits, allowing you to leave the park with them. The camp also has a fuel station, conveniently located near the Crocodile Bridge Gate for late arrivals (gate times taken into account). At the camp they have a variety of accommodation options ranging from camping to more luxurious, making it accessible to all. Overall, it is always a nice experience visiting this rest camp and I definitely plan on staying here in the future.
