Crocodylus Park

I’d visited a few touristy places to see crocodiles in Darwin, but Crocodylus had by far the most (including breeding pens!). The space was surprisingly large, and they also had other animals; Australian natives as well as super cute ones like capybaras and meerkats (and lions!). Interestingly, they also sold crocodile meat and crocodile leather handbags.

Absolutely loved this park. I went on the Cruise while there to get up close to feeding Crocodiles. It was a great experience and would recommend the Park and the Cruise to anyone. Please view my photos for the just some of the animals and sites around the park. I visited both a Sunday with family and a Weekday on my own. I went early and there was no waiting.

Had a great day, great layout of the park with informative, interactive, and feeding sessions happening through the day with different animals. Heaps of crocodiles to see, from big to small. Must do the "extra cost" boat cruise on the man made lake, awesome experience with the crocodiles jumping up beside the boat for a feed. Again a very informative and enjoyable experience.

Was here when it first opened. Has a great reputation & lots of Crocodiles. Over years has expanded out into all types of Animals & now basically a tropical Zoo. First & foremost its a crocodile research centre & inderstanding the life cycle of the Salt & Fresh Water Crocodiles of Australia.

Family of 3 -- we are so glad that we chose Crocodylus Park as our crocodile experience while visiting Darwin as there are many other animals to see as well. I'd advise prebooking the additional croc feeding boat experience as they sell out quickly and we saw many people turned away from the 11am timeslot. The enclosures are all outside, so bring a hat and PLENTY of water. The cafe is indoors with aircon and plenty of seating, which is sweet relief from the humidity. Totally recommend.

Amazing experience for a very reasonable price. Got to see the best croc experiences as well as holding a baby!!! Highly recommend you visit this place for a great day out and see some crazy really cool animals.

The staff at this park are passionate about their work, and it shows. The boat cruise was quite good compared to others set on the Adelaide River. I found it more informative, and we saw more crocodiles in their man made river. It does get hot when you are watching the feedings as so many people are in the one space at a time.

Really good day out, up close and personal with the crocs. The Croc cruise is and extra $10 but well worth it, educational and an experience. The other parts of the park are good, plenty of animals to look at and feed

Coworkers and I decided to give this place a try since there's not a whole lot to do in Darwin. At first glance, this park is kind of small. But it was mentioned by the hourly tours that this place is used for captive breeding and housing particularly unruly crocs in the wild. There are other animals, particularly water buffalo and other prey that crocs in the wild feed on. But don't worry, these aren't meant to be fed. Typically the crocs are fed chicken necks. If you're a bit intimidated by these sharp teeth animals, try to go when it's cold. Crocs tend to get lazy when they are warming up in the sun. There is a jumping croc feeding boat tour that you can pay extra for. It's about A$20 more but I think it's totally worth it. It's as close as I want to be when it's croc feeding time. This place is definitely worth the visit.

Really disappointing with what we saw and did. Went on the 11am jumping croc boat ride and was really disappointed as none of the crocs were interested in coming to the boat for a feed. The tour guide was embarrassed with how lethargic the crocs were, but did explain that the temperature of 29 degrees was to cold for them to be active. Plus I appreciate that these animals don't perform on demand. The croc pens housed either one or two crocs in each pen and it was upsetting to see that they don't have much of a life to move around in such a tiny space. I did however enjoy seeing the baboons and interacting with the macaw, baby crocs and snakes. Next time I would pay the extra and do the Adelaide river jumping croc tour.

Never seen so many crocs in my life, of all different sizes. It was an experience to get up close and personal with crocodiles and really see how deadly they are - watching them being fed was a thrill.

Not only a tourist attraction, but also an important research centre about crocodiles in Australia. Even though I do not enjoy knowing that animals are being used for their skin, the sale of crocodile skins for high end fashion and tourists souvenirs (belts, handbags...) allows to provide regular income for this important research centre and helps us learn more about this fabulous animal. 5 stars for the tourist attraction / minus 2 because of my vegetarian convictions. So, if you are a tourist and want to see and learn about crocodiles, this is the right place to go!

Although a bit campy, I whole heartedly recommend this place, mostly because they have some of the biggest crocodiles I have ever seen, and it was pretty funny watching my boyfriend, who is otherwise a tough guy, react to them. They have a separate zoo component with a large assortment of other animals in fairly small cages, but they seem well cared for. This is a good place to spend the afternoon and then try out some local croc steaks (or ice cream for the kids).
