Croc’s Resort & Casino

I just checked out and wanted to write a review as soon possible because it was so great. It was beautiful and welcoming. The staff is amazing. I loved the pool, food by the pool and drinks. It was very close to town so you can walk or take an Uber. You can eat at so many different places and sightsee further into town. (10 mins by car) if you like to walk it is do able. The location of the hotel is great because the city part of Jaco is noisy and too busy to stay there but great to visit. |I cannot say enough about Adrian who works in the pool area as a waiter. He is the best. His personality is amazing as well as his service. He works so hard and deserves some form of recognition. He recommended some places to eat and they were amazing he was off one of the days and it just wanted the same without him. |Love love, love the hotel and experience.

I had an amazing time staying here with my family of Christmas and new years. I can’t believe the negative reviews. The pool is incredible for kids with a waterslide and volleyball area. Rooms were very tidy and nice views. The staff all around were amazing. Bielka helped me with several questions over email prior to the stay and when I checked in, she remembered my name. She was so pleasant and helpful. Staff in pool area were friendly and super attentive. They even went out of their way to make some items not on the menu for the kids likes grilled cheese and sliced tomatoes instead of fries. Jose and Fabian were stand out staff at the pool area and made our trip so enjoyable. You could tell they truly loved making the guest happy. Josue was our waiter in restaurants and was also very accommodating. The gal working the coffee shop was such a hard worker and she learned my coffee order. I also, loved the town Jaco itself. I found it to be filled with friendly people, good restaurants, and cute little shops. Lots of excursions were close to the area which also made it helpful. I would say my only suggestion would be to include a coffee maker in the room. I need my coffee asap and the line downstairs sometimes would be long. Lastly, items in the gif shop were super expensive. I ran out of sunscreen and in a pinch had to go there and it was $47 for one bottle of spray sunscreen. Wowza!! But other than that, we really loved our stay and I’ll stay here again for sure!!

Nice hotel with very very comfy bed and linen. Lovely views from the ocean view rooms, just a shame you have to pay more for this privilege. The pool area is wonderful. Spotlessly clean area, warm crystal water, excellent pool towels, plentiful sunloungers and attentive staff from the pool bar.|I did mention we were staying for the last night of our honeymoon so I did wonder if there would be anything like I saw from a birthday stay in another review. No mention of it at all. |The beach is not great. Nice to stand and watch the sunset but that is about it. Rubbish everywhere (not so much in front of hotel which was the very nicest part of the entire Jaco beach). Stay in the hotel, eat at those restaurants and enjoy the glorious pool... the rest of Jaco not worth seeing.|There is no coffee or kettle in the room. No mention of anywhere that free coffee was available. You can purchase coffee from the coffee shop in the resort.

Nice place overall. Food needs to improve, specially the breakfast buffet, then after 6 the only really choices are the Mexican and the Italian. The Italian is great!, Mexican needs more options. Pool area is awesome. Staff is great!. The sauna needs to be open to everyone not just pay per massage. Rooms need 1 more nightstand and more decoration.

Loved our time here! The staff were all awesome and friendly. Pool was great every day, even visiting during the rainy season. Food was tasty and plentiful. Enjoyed seeing iguanas, geckos and birds all around! It’s a 1.5-2h shuttle ride from San Jose airport but a very pretty drive, even at night.

Our family stayed at Crocs resort over Christmas. The hotel is beautiful and immaculate. The service is excellent. We sat by the pool most of the time and there were lots of chairs available. The pool side restaurant food is very good with generous portions. The poolside service was great and everyone is very friendly. We have the Christmas dinner and it was excellent. We would definitely recommend to friends

I'd like to highlight the friendly service received by all staff, but especially by the front-desk, and Mr. Han there. He was helpful in helping me check-in, and check-out. The place itself is very nice, breakfast was very good also (the French Toast, and the 'platanitos en miel', delicious. I also enjoyed a nice time at the casino and sports bar, and liked the 'margaritas' promo. Would I visit again? Certainly would.

The hotel and rooms are clean, and the pool area is great. However, this place is not what it seems like online. It’s very noisy overall, which already made it difficult to rest. There was a major water leak right in front of our room. I understand repairs were necessary, but the work went on to the point where neither we nor our two small children could sleep at all. To make matters worse, they then started sanding, and dust came into our room, making it impossible to have a decent night’s sleep. This was extremely frustrating, especially with kids. The pricing is also outrageous—$163 USD for laundry and $26 USD for three bottles of water and one virgin piña colada is excessive by any standard. The nearby beach is nothing special and disappointing for a resort-style stay. For what you pay, the overall experience does not match the cost. I will never return.
