"Croissants de France is three venues in one: a coffee shop, a bakery, and a bistro. Although there are some well-prepared breakfast dishes—from benedicts to crêpes —the pastry selection is the main event here. If you arrive early enough in the day, and there are still beignets left, order them before they sell out. The croissants are the star attraction and have been for 35 years (the restaurant opened in 1984); the raspberry version is a local favorite, though the coconut cream is also a delicious choice." - Jennifer M. Google
J'aime beaucoup! Lol loved this charming coffee, pastry, and sandwich shop! A good assortment of tasty treats in a tastefully designed and decorated space. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice small town feel. Get here early as they close at 2:30.

We came here a couple mornings of our stay because it was so great! The guava croissant is incredible. The back patio is also shaded and very comfortable!

Natalia

Google
I had a savory crepes and cappuccino for my breakfast, and purchased assorted pastries to enjoy on my ride to Miami. Oh boy, they're all fresh and delicious!

Rich Disney

Google
We had an almond and chocolate croissant and an omelette with spinach, Brie and Swiss cheese. Delicious all of it! Our double espressos were caffeinated perfection! I highly recommend this bakery cafe!

Joe Paolucci

Google
I ordered a double espresso and got essentially a small cup of coffee. It was 5 times the liquid it should have been. No crème and see through. Tastes like gas station coffee. Having a home espresso machine and wanting to get an espresso came to a coffee shop thinking I would be able to get one that’s at least decent. Would not recommend ordering any espresso drinks.

Google
Actually French owner and staff. Excellent ... love the coffee, pastries. Nothing left huge portion sizes... amazing food to quickly get your day of exploring started in the keys

Christina Liepke

Google
The food was wonderful! Freshly made croissants and pastries. The serving size of the sandwiches are huge; you could easily save half for later or share. The coffee was no where near as good as the pastries: not a place I would go for just coffee but definitely a great find for food!

Austin Reuter

Google
Simply delicious. Service was great. Food was amazing. Espresso was tasty. Just a perfect way to start the day.

Yelp
If you're looking for fresh pastries, quiche, breakfast Sammies, crepes, and coffee all in one place, Croissants De France is your one stop shop on Stock Island! I visited this cafe nearly every day for ten days while staying nearby and was able to try a different pastry or crepe or Sammy every day. Every food item was delicious and fresh! I haven't had a crepe this good, since I was on my honeymoon... For real, try one!! The coffee was pretty good too! Love this place and adding it to my must try places for friends and family in Key West.

Yelp
The coffee, an Americano, was excellent. All the pastries were ridiculously huge. Not just typical American-style huge but croissant almost the size of a small loaf of bread huge. I'm enough of an ornery cranky old man to dock a star for helping contribute to the obesity epidemic but I'll resist. The strawberry beignet I got, which I divided into two servings, wasn't really the right texture for a beignet and the filling was excessive and drippy. I got two baguettes as well which were very good but unfortunately I overbought and one went stale before I needed it. I will say the pastry prices were very good considering the size. The chocolate croissant at $5.75 or so was enough for three sensible portions if you have the discipline. As befits a French bakery the staff seemed French, judging by their appearance and accents. I hope that doesn't make me a racist. My counter-person was friendly and helpful, even going out back to check when I lamented there was only one baguette left (a new batch had *just* finished baking so it was super fresh and warm). The outside patio is pleasant, with a huge strangler fig tree dominating. It was relaxing sitting there with my coffee and a book until this yuppie couple, overly obsessive parents, arrived and fretted incessantly about their baby. Rocking the stroller non-stop. When the mom turned on the noise machine (soothing surf sounds) I had to move. Don't let this stop you. They're probably not regulars - I hope.

Yelp
Decided to stop by on my way to run errands in key west. The pastries on display looked delicious. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and the only toast left (hot commodity!) which is perfect because it's exactly what I liked, prosciutto toast with presto, parmesan and tomatoes. The service was fast (they didn't heat up the toast they just took it from the display area and put it in a to go container) and the coffee was delicious. My go to coffee shop recently closed and I've been searching for a good coffee shop in stock island and I think I found my new spot! The reason for 4 stars is like I said they didn't heat up the toast so it was room temperature and also the to go container was styrofoam. I think being a business in the keys and in the year we're in, spend the extra money to have recyclable containers. Styrofoam is so harmful to our planet and should not be used anymore. Either way, I am happy to have tried this spot and will be coming back again -- soon!

Yelp
Love this bakery. I'm obsessed with their pear almond croissant but I didn't make it today bc they run out so quickly!!! Hopefully next time.

Yelp
Super cute little French Patisserie. Everything from quiche to Sammies, pastries to salads. And, their key lime pie looks FABULOUS! All made in house / on-site. Friendly, efficient service, and VERY CLEAN. Indoor and outdoor seating in a little garden area. Many come in to buy their baguettes to go. Open daily from 6:30a to 2:30p. SUPPORT THIS LOCAL GEM!

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Stopped here for a quick breakfast and it was amazing. All the baked goods looked absolutely delicious too!

Cody W.

Yelp
Currently sitting on the back deck in a food coma contemplating if I've ever had a better breakfast sandwich. The answer is no. This is the best Croissant, bacon and cheddar sandwich I have ever had. I wish I would have come sooner and i will be a frequent customer. Wow.

Amy T.

Yelp
No gluten free pastries, but the ham & cheese omlette they offer WAS DELICIOUS!!! My Latte was yummy as well.

Courtnay B.

Yelp
Loved this hidden gem. We had almond croissant, chocolate almond croissant, pear almond croissant and coconut cream cheese croissant. I would have gone 5 stars for the pear croissant and size of these things but the rest of the fam went with 4 stars for their croissants. Def would return if we were in the keys for a quick and easy breakfast. They open at 6:30am, which was also nice when looking to get an early start.

Yelp
This was a small cafe on the Northern end of the island where you don't have to pay for Key West's parking! Yay! It's situated around the corner to the right in a little strip mall. When you enter there are a few small tables in your left so it's quite small. It's owned by a French woman and one of her employees who both spoke French. I don't know what it is about French people but they seem pretty bougie to me lol. Like my boss said, French is dying". lol Anyways , the crepes were good but they weren't fantastic. The crepe place in little Monrovia, Ca made by Stacy were better AND the service is better. I must say though that this place was way cheaper than anything on the Southern End. For that reason alone, when I go back, I'll return.

Angela U.

Yelp
Delicious French pastries on stock island. The almond croissants and chocolate croissants are divine. Breakfast sandwiches and coffee are good too.

Natalie P.

Yelp
Easily the best croissant we had in key west. We split the almond croissant and it was nice and heavy with flavor. Not your typical looking croissant as it was pretty flat, but just as tasty! The key lime beignet was more or less a key lime custard filled donut. It was ok, but nothing I would order again.

Iraida S.

Yelp
I would never order a 60th birthday cake from this place ever . I would have left on counter and got my $ back if i was the one that paid for it. Horrible cake looks like a first grader did this lame ugly cake next time ill go elsewhere .

Mallory N.

Yelp
Cute little coffee and pastry place on Stock Island. So many delicious choices, it was hard to decide. Can't wait to go back again!

Christina J.

Yelp
Cute little place with delicious fruit and savory tarts and quiches and yummy key lime crepes!

Nikki G.

Yelp
We stopped by this hidden gem in Stock Island. The ice coffee was perfect for the hot day and they had ground coffee available for purchase. We picked up two because we loved their Cuban coffee. We ordered Key Lime beignets ~ the key lime cream was amazing. We also bought their Key lime pie for later and loved the meringue top. The restaurant has both inside and outdoor seating and was nicely decorated. There was no wait and it appears to be a family owned and operated business.

Yelp
Terrible customer service I have been visiting Key West for many years, but I had never been to this patisserie. Thinking back to our wonderful trips to France, the minute I saw it while visiting a restaurant nearby, I said, "We need to come here tomorrow and have breakfast." Well, we will never go there again because of the terrible customer service we received. My son wanted to order something simple for my granddaughter, which consisted of toasted brioche bread and cheese. No, that was not possible although they had the ingredients to make what we wanted. So we had to order an avocado sandwich (avocado on the side) to get a couple of burnt pieces of bread with four half slices of cheese, which of course, my granddaughter didn't eat. Then I went up to order a pastry and when I asked the person at the register to please give me a receipt, the told me to get it myself because she had just moved away. I will give a star for the ham and cheese croissant.

Patty M.

Yelp
A HIDDEN GEM, we where exploring and came upon this hidden gem! Once inside you're transported to a small french bakery, great displays and choices. The ones we picked where delicious, not so sweet just perfect! The selection was great

Karen S.

Yelp
Oh my bakery amazingness. As you head to Key West hit a LEFT and find this joint. Just buy everything and you are welcome. We grabbed breakfast sandwiches, and couldn't resist the custard stuffed powdered sugared delight! Sorry no pics, this went down fast. Baked goods in they style that would make Julia Child proud. Dessert case to make you drool. Have to return for the Turkey and Brie samdwich. I have been craving a coffee and croissant, just like in European cafes. Thank you Yelp for leading me here

Rob Y.

Yelp
What is not to like about this bakery! So many choices, so little time. Their baked goods are out of this world! Friendly staff.

L M.

Yelp
Incredible surprise. We were just looking for coffee but decided to try a pastry. Oh wow! So delicious!

Grace P.

Yelp
The exterior has such a charm to it, but the wait time and customer service was disappointing. I probably waited around 30 minutes for an egg and cheese croissant that was subpar. One of the employees scolded me for sitting in the wrong seating area by mistake. She was quite rude and made the experience unpleasant. Unfortunately I would not recommend this restaurant.

Melissa N.

Yelp
I visit Croissants de France quite often. Probably once or twice a week. I usually grab a small cafe latte and a warm bacon & cheese croissant. Yummy! It's just a quaint little bakery offering fresh pastries, sandwiches, and delicious coffees. Their pastries are great! I really like the eclairs, the mini mousse, and the napoleon. Their sweets change constantly. They have so many croissants of various flavors: ham & cheese, guava & cheese, almond, spinach, etc. You get the idea. Everything is very affordable. This location is open every day from 6 am to 2 pm. They have another bakery on Duval Street, but I prefer this one. It is a lot quieter and less crowded. 4 stars.

Mark P.

Yelp
Something like a three or four these days. Seem's something's changed. Just haven't been as happy with them for a multitude of reasons over a multitude of visits. Shame, really.

Emily M.

Yelp
We returned to Croissants de France on Stock Island for breakfast at the beginning of our trek north and enjoyed the kindness of the staff as much as the pastries and coffees. This time my husband had quiche Lorraine and a cortadito (spelling?) and was pleased with both. I had an ice cappuccino and a raspberry filled croissant. Our little one chose a mini pastry- a cinnamon wheel. He said it was beautiful. The lamination of the croissants is nothing short of impressive. Knowing how much technique goes into achieving all those layers to create the light texture as well as the addictive flavors has only increased my appreciation of a well executed croissant. This location has a few indoor tables with one gender neutral restroom which is very clean and a wonderfully shaded outdoor seating area. The selection of tarts, cakes, and pastries is consistently delicious and anesthetic. They offer many different ways to enjoy an excellent cup of coffee. I have never gotten a bitter or burnt flavor from their beverages.

Heather L.

Yelp
Great cafe mocha and eclair. Cute little place near the Perry hotel. Doesn't look like much from the outside...Almost missed it. Well worth the stop!

Sun W.

Yelp
Chocolate muffins are good. The outdoor dining space is nice. But the croissants were a disappointment.

Stacey H.

Yelp
Yummy yum yum. This place was everything one could hope for. They perfected the croissant and all the different ways you can use it. Everything was sweet, buttery, crispy and flakey as one would expect a croissant to be. Even the savory ham and cheese was crunchy and soft in the middle. I highly recommend this place.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Delicious quiche, croissants and crepes. Friendly service along with indoor and outdoor seating area made this a great stop at the end of our bike ride.

Marian O.

Yelp
Amazing . Totally recommend it. Great service and food quality is great . Also , they have a outdoor area that is really nice .

Adam S.

Yelp
They have quiches. I like them but I don't at the same time. They keep them chilled in a glass front cooler and heat to order... in the microwave... it comes out boiling hot on the outside but then it's still fridge temp in the center. Kinda ruins the entire thing..

Kit G.

Yelp
Best croissants anywhere, or at least is good as. Their Keylime pie for me is the best in KeyWest and I've tried everybody's- but consistently this is the texture. I like, the crust I like and I don't mind the meringue although it's not a hard meringue it's a soft meringue. They have sandwiches which I have not tried, but they do look good. They're baguettes are excellent. and that's all I really had here. Stopped at the KeyWest store recently to see if they had Keylime pie but they didn't so I don't know if they don't make it there or they just were sold out. And the KeyWest store has an exceptional dining area, big old trees for wonderful breakfast. stock island store which is where I go now has minimal seating. Excellent service clean inside. It's a great place. The only funny thing they have is beignets. I am used to Louisiana right out of the fryer into the brown bag.

Robert G.

Yelp
This place was amazing. The food was like being back in France . The food is full of flavors, tastes wonderful, and has vegetarian options. Definitely worth a stop

Brielle P.

Yelp
Check out stock island! We are a glad we stumbled upon CDF! We were staying locally down the street and drove by this place a few times. Hidden behind Roostica and the dolphin deli, Croissants De France is my new favorite breakfast destination. I wish I had one of their guava croissants RIGHT NOW. Their coffee selection is large! They have both iced and hot. They also have a small selection of cold beverages such as OJ, tea and sodas. The croissants were fresh and fluffy. I had the ham and cheese one and it was FANTASTIC. My boyfriend very much enjoyed the guava and cheese. You can sit both inside and outside. Outside they have a chic patio covered by a large tree. Very comfortable setting! Service was fast and friendly. They have a buy one get one free special between 3pm-4pm right before they close. We will definitely be back! Cheers!

Darla R.

Yelp
Wonderful French bakery! We had croissants sandwiches but the pastry looked awesome as well.

L H.

Yelp
The food is incredible. I have tried many things and all have been outstanding. They are busy but always efficient. You can tell that they take great care wit their product and shop.

Denice M.

Yelp
Amazing great variety and always friendly staff. We always stop in when we're in town!

Moriah L.

Yelp
I adore this place. It's so cute and really really yummy. They've made me a veganized sandwich before, but nothing as is is vegan on the menu as far as I'm aware. The patio area is adorable. I go whenever I'm in the area. My friends say the baked goods and normal menu items are great. The coffee is also really good.

Lizzette R.

Yelp
Have you ever had a croissant that was so good, you couldn't talk? Well then, get yourself over to this adorable cafe and have one or two croissants.... You're welcome. Order a coffee with it and either sit and savor each sip and bite or take it to go. If you can plan ahead, bring a box or a container to place them in. They are delicious morsels of amazing.

Wyatt W.

Yelp
A treasure on Stock Island!!! Very tasty, very fast service, very clean. Don't let the neighborhood spook or fill you!!!!!

Cali A.

Yelp
YESSSSSSSSSSSS LOTS OF AMAZING DELICIOUS PASTRIES Was skeptical but yay so happy I tried this bakery!!! It's right next to Dolphin place entrance on 3rd not Mc Donald. BEIGNETS THE SIZE OF MY HEAD! Guava Croissant was so good!!!!! Super sweet and helpful staff!!

Jerry T.

Yelp
Stoped by before leaving Key west for quick breakfast and it was amazing service and food (Coffee and pastries) you can not go wrong with this place great quality and everything is made fresh Daily.

Joel M.

Yelp
We visited croissants De France on Stock Island and found it quite charming. The food and coffee were good and away from the old town Key West bustle.

Rich C.

Yelp
Croissants De France is a bakery with a tiny little coffee shop attached. Located at 8620 McDonald street, they are hidden a block back from the Overseas Highway. They also have a location on Duval Street but we tried the other. There is off street parking in front and a small closed in garden patio where you can enjoy the sweets on a homemade, repurposed pallet topped table. They have an assortment of tempting cake slices and croissants waiting. We tried the apple and the chocolate croissants. The Apple was surprisingly crisp with peels on and cinnamon . Very unlike an apple pie filling. The glaze more resembled pie filling. The chocolate was dark, sweet and rich. Both croissants had light flaky pastry outside as they should. We enjoyed with coffee and tea. The two young ladies working were helpful and attentive. I enjoyed getting a light breakfast for two for just over $10.00. I recommend Croissants De France for those times when you need something sweet and satisfying.

Greg C.

Yelp
I loved my pastry selections from this little bakery outside of Key West. Really good looking pastries and overall selection available. Really, really good prices that are very affordable considering the portion size on some of the basket items. They are really quick on the service, too. But, the one thing I will add is that they need to get boxes instead of stuffing these beautiful, delicious pastries into your standard fast-food paper bag. I would rather they raise all of the prices by 10 cents. Anything, but making your beautiful pastries get crushed in the bottom of a cheap bag.

Robert S.

Yelp
Having a reference point from patisseries in Montreal and in Paris, this patisserie in Key West is as good as it gets for Southern Florida. The pastries are flaky and wonderful. We had the Almond Croissant, Chocolate Croissant, Ham and Cheese Croissant and the wonderful Kouign Aman. This store opened in September 2016 as a feeder kitchen for the established Croissants de France restaurant on Duval St. The cafe is mostly for take out, but they do have some outdoor seating for a nice breakfast or lunch. Credit cards accepted.

Veronica G.

Yelp
Visited Croissants De France early on a Sunday morning for pastries. The bakery has lots of delicious looking options & the space has indoor & outdoor seating. The staff is friendly & warmed my pastry as requested. I selected the chocolate banana croissant - the pasty was flaky and moist however, there wasn't enough filling, I was stuck eating dough more than I would have liked. I also had the plain beignet & that was very good. I recommend Croissants De France & look forward to visiting again.

Brian H.

Yelp
Amazing!!! Food is fantastic. Best cappuccino I've found in Key West. Never would have expected from the exterior facade, but certainly walked in to a French food paradise. Did not try, but some beautifully made little dessert items will definitely bring us back.

Helen M.

Yelp
We had a great experience here. Hot Lorraine quiche, cold drinks, and a little parking lot for a quick stop!
