We stayed at Crooked River State Park from March 9–23, 2025, and had a truly wonderful experience.
We were in Site 09, a premium pull-through gravel site with a picnic table and fire ring. The site was very spacious, with plenty of room for our 5th wheel, truck, and car. There was plenty of space to relax without feeling crowded.
Crooked River State Park is set in a beautiful coastal forest environment with tall oaks, palmettos, and Spanish moss all around. The campground is well maintained, and the peaceful natural setting made it a perfect place for a longer stay.
The park offers a great variety of amenities and activities for the active campers.
We enjoyed hiking the trails through forest and marsh, watching wildlife, and just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. It was also very convenient being close to historic St. Mary’s and the ferry to Cumberland Island.
Overall, Crooked River State Park is a beautiful, well-appointed state park with excellent facilities, plenty of activities, and a gorgeous setting on Georgia’s coastal waterways. I would recommend staying here!
