Our stay at the Crosby Bed and Breakfast in Astoria was nothing short of fabulous. The house itself is incredibly charming, maintaining so much of its original character while thoughtfully incorporating modern comforts. We stayed in the Waterfront Room, and the view was absolutely spectacular. The bed was easily one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in — I didn’t want to leave! Jasmine was more than hospitable; we thoroughly enjoyed spending time chatting with her and learning about the history of the home. She truly takes the bed and breakfast experience to the next level. Breakfast was superb — fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. This inn is a true gem. We’ll absolutely be back!

Our stay in Astoria was made perfect by our stay at Culver House. The view from the Waterfront Room was incredible. It was surprisingly quiet being right on the main thoroughfare. We loved visiting with Jasmine each morning at breakfast. Besides being a great cook, she was a trove of knowledge about the area.

UNSAFE AREA! The street next to the bed and breakfast had 5 cars with homeless people living in them. You could see them from the bedroom window. We walked to the river and heard a man asking a woman with an "open for business" sign on her neck ask for meth while throwing money at her.||We are from the Chicago area and have seen a lot of things. The neighborhood by the Crosby house bed and breakfast made us very uncomfortable. We left within 10 minutes of getting there. When we contacted the owner to let them know that we were pretty worried about staying in this unsafe neighborhood and we would not be staying they told us that we would get no refund...not half of our two night stay...NOTHING of our 400 dollars would be refunded. We didn't eat their food, use their water, touch their sheets or bath towels. There was nothing they needed to do to clean up the space. They were more concerned with their policy than they are about their customers. Instead of trying to understand my position they sent their policy in writing to me. This is a pretty poor way to run a business.||We drove to Cannon beach and found a place where we felt comfortable leaving the windows open and walking around the town after the sun went down.

We stayed here one night during our Pacific Coast trip. This place is super cute, clean and comfortable. They really make you feel at home. The breakfast was delicious as well. This was my first B&B experience and it did not disappoint.

We were traveling all the way from AZ. What wonderful hospitality! Our room was perfect. We had a view of the Columbia River and the bridge. We had a full breakfast of eggs Florentene, sausage, potatoes, toast with homemade jam, and fruit. Such a lovely time! We highly recommend staying with Crosby House.

This is our third time back to Crosby house. We love coming here. The food is great, the rooms are great, the view is awesome. You are treated like family. It's close to everything and Astoria is a great place to explore.

This was my first experience in a bed and breakfast, and it did not disappoint! The home was so inviting. It was evident a lot of time and effort was spent to restore it.| My room was very cozy and the bed was comfortable. Loved having a private bath, access to the balcony and a small kitchen upstairs. Jasmine was the perfect host and made thost amazing breakfasts! I was able to walk to downtown Astoria. Would highly recommend staying here.

Yelp
I don't always leave reviews, but I was so impressed by this charming B&B that I just have to! My husband and I stayed in the Column View room which was the perfect size for the two of us and has an attached bathroom. Despite being 7 months pregnant, the bed was very comfortable! The whole house is decorated in old antiques and interesting things - Love! The shared deck was very nice, with plenty of coffee, tea and hot chocolate to enjoy while watching the ships pass by on the river. We were easily able to find street parking each time and were just blocks away from some really good recommended restaurants, breweries and shops. I was very impressed by the amazing breakfast that Theresa, the innkeeper and owner, cooked and served each morning. The interaction with other guests over breakfast was one of my favorite parts. Make note that check-in time is from 4pm-6pm. We were stuck in some traffic and didn't arrive until 8pm, so we called around 6 and Theresa was gracious in welcoming us at our late time. We absolutely plan to stay here again if we find ourselves back in Astoria. I highly recommend you do too!

Yelp
I called within 2 hours of leaving your place to let you know that I was not comfortable with the unsafe area. I left a message because no one answered the phone. I also sent a text to your innkeeper who responded and said "I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm still at the softball tournament and it's actually my mother in laws bed and breakfast I'm running, she had ran it for 10 years prior to me running it the past year and haven't had any issues. She is out of town till the 17th. I will definitely let her know the situation cause it would be up to her on the credit. I didn't hear back from either of you by the 19th so I contacted you again. My exact words after you re-sent your policy again to me by text were: I read that...But I don't see in all of this wording where it states something about people selling drugs right next to your bed and breakfast. I will make sure that I do many reviews so that anyone else considering booking with you will know that there are people selling drugs on the street next to your bed and breakfast and that it's not safe And also that you don't work with your customers when there's a bad situation Maybe what you can do is take the money and pay it forward to someone in need since you aren't willing to give us any of the money back Consider helping the people in your neighborhood with drug addictions Use the money to do something good since you didn't need it to pay your cleaning lady or your water bill or use it to buy the food. I want people to know that they shouldn't book a stay with you until they check out the area because they will not get their money back if they don't feel safe.

Yelp
The location, atmosphere of the home and the Hostess (Jasmine) were all AWESOME! I would definitely recommend this to any and everyone! It does have all bedrooms upstairs so maybe not for limited mobility patrons but it was one of my very favorite B & B's I've experienced! The breakfasts served were a delight as well. Very well prepped and presented. VERY CLEAN accommodations. 5 star for sure!! Huge shout out and THANK YOU to Jasmine! Hugs!

Yelp
Delightful B&B to hang your hat! Theresa hosts a comfortable and cheery craftsman - 3 rooms of differing character. Filled with antiques, this stop was a highlight of our trip. Breakfasts were hearty and delicious - and the conversations were great. Easy walks into the business district of Astoria, with terrific restaurants and interesting stores. Heartily recommended!

Yelp
The Crosby house is a small bed-and-breakfast in beautiful Astoria, Oregon. It is located close to all attractions in the town of Astoria including numerous bars, breweries, and historical attractions. We stayed in the Column View room which was small, but had a queen size bed and a private bath. Be aware that this particular bed-and-breakfast does not have air air-conditioning, so you may need to sleep with the windows open. The problem with this is road noise on this particular street is very pronounced and we had to close our window during the night, making it a challenge to get good sleep. As with all bed and breakfasts, breakfast was included and was very elaborate each of the 2 mornings we were there. This B&B is charming and well decorated. The back porch on the second floor that overlooks the water is a nice place to relax with a cup of tea or coffee, which are complimentary. *** 2/3 rooms are very small. If you are going to stay here I would recommend the Waterfront since it is spacious with a private balcony and tremendous view. *** shampoo and conditioner were not provided, so make sure to bring your own. There was 1/2 bottle of shower gel, but no bars of soap.

Such warm and comfortable hospitality! Very cute house with fun signs on the walls. It felt just like home. The breakfast is not to be forgotten -- so delicious!!!

Yelp
What a lovely B&B. Teresa is so warm and friendly. Her home is beautiful and decorated with really fun/beautiful antiques. The location is fantastic. Very close to everything in downtown Astoria. You can easily walk everywhere. We stayed in the Tongue Point room, which was perfect for 2 people. You can see the river and some of downtown. Teresa made the most beautifully presented and really tasty breakfasts. The table setting would be different every morning, which was delightful. Teresa would tidy our room daily, which was really a nice touch. The common areas were comfortable and welcoming. The view from the balcony was really beautiful. The river, river walk and street car all in view. Very quiet and clean. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Astoria. I will definitely be staying here the next time I visit this beautiful area.

Yelp
Second visit to the Crosby House for the Festival of the Dark Arts Beer Festival so we got together with 2 other couples and rented the whole place. This was the best idea ever, no awkward breakfast convos with strangers, we got to pick our own time for breakfast, we had the whole balcony to ourselves, and the house felt so comfortable. The owners here are amazingly kind and have created an atmosphere that is historic, completely in keeping with the age of the house, and welcoming. Breakfasts are superb and they accomdate food alergies extremely well. Plenty of games and some movies in case you want to just relax in the living room. A wonderful coffee and tea station upstairs including fresh baked treats. This is our go-to lodging for all of our Astoria getaways.

Yelp
We spent a simply wonderful weekend at the Crosby House. This lovingly restored Victorian home is the perfect combination of historical charm and modern amenities. The Innkeepers are exceptionally friendly & accommodating, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is top notch. We stayed in the Waterfront Room which faces the Columbia River and has a private deck. We loved being able to watch all the hustle and bustle of the docks while relaxing in our pj's with our morning coffee. The Inn is centrally located and within walking distance of the Riverfront Trolley, Brewpubs, restaurants and lots of funky little shops. One word of warning though, the River traffic can be a bit noisy and it runs 24/7. Our first night a thick bank of fog moved in which resulted in us being serenaded off and on by the fog horns of the Tanker ships as they went up river. We thought the experience was pretty funny but make no mistake... it can be loud!! If you are a light sleeper you might think about opting for one of the other rooms. No doubt they are quieter.

R L.

Yelp
Due to an honest mistake (dates crossed somehow), wasn't able to stay the two nights that we reserved the room for. It is ok that we forfeit the deposit (half the total) since we didn't cancel 7 days in advance, but the owner decided to charge the other half too because she says that is how she runs her business! Come on, give me a break. So inconsiderate for an honest mistake?

Yelp
My Wife and I were on our way to Seattle and we wanted to spend a day in Astoria Oregon, the mouth of the Columbia River! This is a very busy port and the town really is very quaint and is not over crowded. A really nice place with a long and interesting history. Teresa and Ken have done a wonderful job restoring this beautiful two story house (with basement). It contains a lot of quaint antiques, and history of the city. They have an elevated view of the mouth of the Columbia and water front. At sundown you may have one of the prettiest views on the Astoria B&B circuit. Bring a bottle of wine you can walk to dinner no worries. Teresa cooks one of the best breakfasts in the world, thank you! And the company was very nice. Ken is an avid Astoria History buff and knows quit a bit of its history, and sounds like this really fascinates him, he is passionate about it and conversation is excellent. Very interesting and entertaining. He also paints local scenery and he only started doing this after retiring and moving to Astoria. This was a pleasant discovery and a great stay. we don't stay at B&B's very often because we like private bathrooms, and we got one at this B&B. The view at our rooms balcony was excellent. If we are ever in the Area again, we would not hesitate to book a room here. We left as friends of the owners. We love them!

Jaleese B.

Yelp
Every time I'm in town I stay at this lovely B&B. The hostess is always warm and friendly. The breakfast is always delicious . I would highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast. The house is historic and displays antiques all around. The rooms are comfortable and inviting. The waterfront room is a must have with a patio that over looks the Columbia River.

Nicole E.

Yelp
Beautiful old house and Theresa is a gracious host! The pictures really don't do it justice. Breakfast was delicious and there is a patio for all to access (and one room has a "private" balcony that is adjoined to the other space) that overlooks the river. I could hear the sea lions barking while enjoying a morning tea. There is a coffee bar upstairs with all sorts of tea and coffee that you can access at any time, along with a communal mini fridge for storing wine and leftovers. Oh, and cookies in the afternoon! We stayed in the Tongue Point room and it was the perfect size for two with a spacious bathroom. Had a chance to peek in the other rooms and we would have been happy to stay in any of them. Plated breakfast is at 830 and served "family style" (I.e., you're all sitting at the same table), but no forced interactions. With all that the Oregon Coast has to offer, Astoria isn't necessarily a place I'd return -- but if I did, I'd stay at the Crosby House. Tips: Two bottles of water were waiting for us in our room (the first night only). There was a bottle of shower gel, but no shampoo, conditioner or lotion. Bring your own!

Rachel M.

Yelp
The house and room were comfortable and accommodating, as was the host and owner, Theresa. The breakfast was wonderful and even better was the conversation with the other guests. I highly recommend the Crosby House -- it's got a great location too, and Astoria is the most gorgeous town!

Joel R.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time at this lovely B&B. From the first moment with Theresa greeting us, to sitting out on the back porch, (the one for all guests), to the beautifully set breakfast table with depression era glass, and her wonderful home made Dutch Baby breakfast. Attention to detail is and was certainly a constant.

Jersey L.

Yelp
Not happy with their poor customer service. My husband and I purchased a weekend getaway for our son. We paid for it in advance and our son got the dates mixed up. The Crosby House charged us a penalty and were completely inflexible regarding working with us regarding our son's mistake. So we wound up paying them for nothing. Can't recommend them. As a small business owner myself, I know I would never charge a customer for a mistake. Never. Not so with the Crosby House. They will not be flexible and they will not make any allowances. Sad.

Scout H.

Yelp
This was our family's first stay at the Crosby house and we absolutely loved it! The house was beautiful and decorated very well. We booked 2 rooms and both rooms were comfortable with great beds! Perfect location with an easy walk down to the water and close of many of the restaurants. Most importantly Theresa makes the best breakfast! My personal favorite was the homemade waffles with fresh peaches on top and sausages on the side. We cannot say enough good things about the Crosby House and highly recommend you stay there if traveling through Astoria!
