Our stay was filled by boundless unending pleasant surprises. We wish we could stay longer. The location is why we picked the place, but we would up lingering at breakfast, the lounge, and our rooms far longer than we planned simply because everything was so nice. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Worth noting: we got the breakfast included, which I have never done, and it was STELLAR. I did not expect it to be so consistently nice. I recommend others try it. It gave us a great reason to get up early and start our day without having to immediately leave the hotel to get food. It really helped to break up the morning and get us out of bed surprisingly. I cant recommend this place enough. It made for a special stay and was convenient and affordable, while also being better than average. The staff here were also incredibly friendly compared to many places we have stayed. I find that a lack of friendliness is the one issue that I encounter most frequently from hotel staff in Japan, but that was not the case here. I felt welcomed the entire time.

I like this hotel when I visited Osaka at the first time many years ago. The people is nice and easy to communicate. The room is big enough and comfortable. The place is very convenient and easy to go everywhere. Therefore, I am happy to stay in Cross Hotel no matter in Osaka or Kyoto. Highly recommended and you won’t disappointed.

Google
Excellent location. Very near to red line. They have a self service luggage storage up front and rooms are neat and well kept. Their lounge service is great also with free flow of drinks. My room was a good size with tub and overlooking the Glico man.:)

We're here on our honeymoon and we had a blast staying at the Cross Hotel! The breakfast was always amazing and the staff was so friendly and nice. We loved every minute of our stay and will hopefully come visit again in the future.

We stayed here for 3 nights. After requesting room cleaning, we came back in the evening and noticed something very unpleasant: there was a yellowish liquid stain around the toilet. At first I thought it might just be leftover cleaning fluid, but when I lifted the seat, there was also a yellow liquid spot underneath. This gave us the impression that the cleaner may have actually used the toilet during their cleaning process, which is completely unacceptable. I took photos and reported it to the staff. At first they told us to wait until the next day, but of course we didn’t want to spend the night with that situation. We insisted on a room change, and to be fair, they did upgrade us to a better room, which we appreciate. Still, this was a very disappointing and shocking experience, especially in Japan where we expect high standards of cleanliness. I really hope the hotel takes this matter seriously with their cleaning staff.

A six day stay choosing Osaka as our base for day trips to Kyoto & Nara. Very pleased with our choice. Location great, 2 min walk to Dotonbori & 5 min to subway. Very helpful staff guiding us through in English. They also helped with luggage transfers to our next hotel in Tokyo. The room was spacious, with a large wet room (shower and a bath), fridge and large TV (CNN only English speaking channel). The breakfast was good with a choice of Asian and Western foods served 7am to 10am. There are also two restaurants in the hotel for lunch and dinner options. We agreed we would definitely stay here again. Thank you Cross Hotel for making our stay so good!

Google
Excellent hotel. First time in Japan and glad the I stayed at Cross Hotel Osaka. Great customer service and room amenities are good. Perfect location. And the breakfast buffet was amazing. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay.

Google
Amazing location for exploring central Osaka. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spotlessly clean rooms and breakfast was delicious catering for all tastes. Four stars given for the room as is was rather cramped for three (family room) and lacked a bedside table. However, I would stay there again

Yelp
Right next to Dotonburi! Can't get better than this location. It was hip and modern. They also had the best breakfast buffet out of all the hotels we stayed at. Their tempura fried shrimp was good and they even served little slices of steak. The rooms weren't anything special but I did appreciate they were clean and had enough space for my luggage. Bathrooms were on the smaller end. If you want to be in the center of the action this is where you stay! They have a lock station for your luggage too if you decide you want to park your luggage there while putzing around Osaka.

Yelp
The Cross Hotel is smack dab in the middle of so much to do: thrifting, general shopping, food tasting, restaurant-hopping, night clubbing--it's all here! If you're looking for the hum of energy and a colorful atmosphere that pulls you into the moment and captivates you with the essence of the city then this is the place to go! The hotel boasts a breakfast buffet that you can partake in if you're a guest, and it's decent as well as the rooms. The bathroom tub and shower area is spacious and you can get a good soak in. The staff is extremely helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. The rooms and public areas are well-maintained and clean. They do have a little cafe for some sweets or a drink. Location = ***** (perfect; amid the buzz and hustle) Service = ***** (awesome) On-Site Restaurant = *** (more of a cafe which features a few sweets and drinks) Hotel room = ***+ (nice size shower/tub); room is standard

Yelp
The Osaka Cross Hotel is one of our favorite hotels we stayed in during our recent trip to Japan Located literally steps from the main strip of Dotonburi, this hotel was the perfect place to stay during our first trip to Osaka The hotel is modern, well maintained and the staff was exceptional. Ahead of our trip I was in touch with them through the Booking.com app and they we always so responsive. They were so helpful with receiving our bags ahead of our arrival and even working with us to get them to our final hotel in Daiba. The rooms were fantastic and the dual onsen bathroom was a treat. The tub was so big compared to our other hotels and the bathroom amenities to you can get from the front desk (including bath salts and aromatherapy powders) were of great quality But our favorite perks were the food offerings at both the buffet and club lounge... both were such a treat and worth the upgrade in cost Overall I can't recommend Cross Hotel enough and I hope to stay there again on my next trip to Osaka

Yelp
1.5 days in Osaka. Great location next to Dontoburi area and a lot of high end shopping as well. Clean and spacious shower!

Yelp
This was our final hotel on our trip. We only had one day/night left so we were happy to drop off our bags and get on our way since all of our hotels didn't have early check in, which is fine. I noticed a lot of bags were in the lobby area with a rope around it, I was not comfortable leaving my iPad and other valuables in that area. The gal who was helping us totally understood and put ours in a locked room, she didn't seem annoyed by my asking at all which was cool! I never want to be considered "high maintenance" :) After a few hours of hitting the sights on our "list" that we have for all destinations we headed back to check in and change for dinner and our last night in Japan. The room was adorable. The color scheme is red which is one of my favorite colors. Red and White. I could tell that this street was in a high end area since Dolce & Gabbana was our neighbor. They are my absolute favorite Italian designers. One thing I came to expect on our trip is the incredible sleep shirts they have in every hotel. I became OBSESSED with these and just thought they must sell me this set. The two other hotels had just the sleep shirt but this one had the set, pants too! They sold them at the front desk for $52. I couldn't believe Joey wanted one too! They are incredible! Super comfortable and wonderful. I tried to buy them at the other hotels but they said no :( I found some on Amazon:) I'll post a photo of the set soon! We loved this place the staff was great and everything was pristine. This is a major for me. I love when things are super clean and tidy, especially a hotel room. We had a big travel day ahead of us so we wanted to get really tired so we could sleep on the plane. It's 11+ hours. I really liked this trip, I'll probably go back someday. A week after we got back my daughter went on a girls trip and it's funny because she knew where our hotels were and we did parallel things too.

Yelp
Loved this hotel! Has a cool looking exterior and is such a short walk from Dotonburi and the busy streets of food and shopping. Such a conveniently located hotel. The amenities are all in the first floor lobby and you can grab what you need while you're staying there. Rooms are a decent size and they do store your luggage for you before or after check out if needed. I loved the small chaise lounge sofa in our room. Would highly recommend if you're staying in Osaka!

Yelp
Stayed here while in Osaka, clean and neat. Close to the airport. Walked around a bit decent safe neighborhood

Yelp
You will be mesmerized the instant you walk into this hotel. Great modern buildout and clean rooms. Will stay here again in a few months when returning to Osaka. The location is also incredible for walking to tourist shopping district; forget the name; for example, it is close to the Glico man sign & and a Don Qs is conveniently located across the street

Yelp
I've honestly always, always wanted to stay here! During my Osaka trips, the Cross Hotel facade was so cool and attractive, but sadly whenever I tried to book it during my stay the room I wanted would be sold out! Finally during my March trip to Osaka, they had rooms available. We booked a single, but got upgraded to a double. First off, the location is simply the best. You can't get any closer to the shopping streets. Major department stores and luxury shops such as Chanel, Fendi, Prada, etc is literally down the street! The room was so much bigger than what I expected! I was most impressed by the bathroom. Not only was there a large Japanese-style tub for soaking, but besides that was a shower area! If you're looking for a hotel near Dōtombori, you won't be disappointed with this hotel.

Yelp
Sound proof is super bad, I can hear the conversation of my next room which makes me really frustrated. The only good thing is closed to all attractions within 5 mins walking distance. If you don't mind the sound proof it might be a good choice for you.

Yelp
The staff are friendly and speak English well enough. The accommodations are acceptable. It would've been better if there were more outlets, especially convenient if we had at least 1 by the bed. There are only 4 outlets and you may need to disconnect lamps to use them. Better if you have a power strip or converter with integrated USB plugs. The shower in bathroom is quite spacious with what amounts to a tub inside an enclosed shower. Hotel provides body wash, shampoo, conditioner and other accessories. The hotel is centrally located near lively markets and restaurants in the Dotonburi area. Although Über doesn't operate in this area taxis are clean and readily accessible - not all accept credit cards though and it seemed at least 1/2 of the drivers we got smoke. Ironic considering they operate "smoke free" taxis. It was costly to get anywhere (especially to/from Osaka Train Station and or Kansai InternationalAirport. Hotel space is quite small - if you have 2 large suitcases and 2 adults, you may wish to upgrade to a corner room (these are limited and availability is scarce) (comfort double room is @ 260 sq. ft.). I think their standard room is barely enough space for 2 adults with 2 large suitcases. The pillows are firm, very firm and possibly filled with buckwheat hulls - not nice for this down pillow lovin' traveler. The hotel breakfast, while convenient, not worth the ¥2200 (@ $22 USD). This hotel is acceptable but not high end. $175 USD/night for a standard double room. There are much better hotels at the same price point. Live and learn.

Yelp
Love this hotel, perfect location in downtown Dotonbori. We've stayed here a few times now, and the beds are an absolute dream to sleep in! Definitely will return

Yelp
We had a good nights stay at Cross Hotel. It's smack dad in the middle of downtown Osaka and a few blocks away from the Ebisu bridge so i'd say it's prime real estate in this bustling city. I would highly recommend arriving early and waiting as they do not permit early check-in although they will hold your luggage for you if you arrive early. If you arrive at check-in time, expect a line as this hotel sees a good amount of demand due to it's proximity to various key areas. The b-fast has some unique dishes for tasting and is recommended if you're a foodie.

Yelp
In lively Namba, this hotel is perfectly located right near Dotonburi. The wifey and I really enjoyed staying here. There's a complimentary Happy Hour that was included with our room for free drinks at their bar. One minor complaint might be the room size but that's to be expected with Japanese hotels. For two people travelling with luggage, it was a bit tight. Pros: location, service, price, happy hour and English speaking staff. Con: room was a little tight with luggage. Overall: would definitely stay here again

Yelp
Awesome hotel located a few steps away from the main Dontonburi entertainment and shopping district of Osaka. This hotel is ideal if you want to spend time eating and shopping your way through the area and it is also close enough to the Namba rail complex that you can connect and travel almost anywhere in Osaka. From appearances, this is an older building that has had an internal facelift and it does appear quite modern from the the bright red theme to the dark paints in the common areas. The rooms are not bad in size and certainly look modern enough. I had no issues regarding the space and there was a very large work desk along the window. The bathroom was on the large side with a dedicated closed off bathing area which included a sunken bathtub and a large shower area. The hotel has a few restaurants and a coffee/cake shop in the lobby area. The did try the breakfast buffet on one morning which was not too bad and totally acceptable when you're too hung over to venture outside early in the day :) TIP : from Namba station, find exit 24 which is short few minutes walk from Cross Hotel.

Yelp
Probably best location near #dotonbori #道頓堀 , literally less than one minute walk. 5 minutes walk to #daimaru shopping center #大丸 . A couple breakfast cafe downstairs, very convenient. (The downside I don't like is; it's too close to Dotonbori which there are many young guys on the bridge trying to "get female customers" to their "night club" although they won't bother you if they sense tourist.) Nice and friendly front desk/reception. Overall the room interior and functionality is pretty solid, roomy and pratical. However, I feel it has been taken all kinds of tourists and the room is not well maintained. (Wall paint and some interior details). This is my 2nd time staying here but I will likely to find another hotel next time.

Yelp
We booked our hotel through Expedia with flight included. We couldn't have been happier with it! This isn't a US hotel by any means, the room was small but the bathroom/shower room was huge! It was very comfortable and very clean. It ended up being the perfect base camp for our vacation. We stayed at 2 other hotel on our trip to Japan and both made us appreciate The Cross Hotel even more! The location is absolutely perfect for Osaka. There is great shopping and great restaurants around every corner. Trains and busses are a quick walk. The hotel was perfect for our time in Japan!

Yelp
A modern and sleek hotel right in the Shinsaibashi district of Osaka. The hotel was clean, well maintained, with a nice staff. Good location right on the metro and in a very busy area of the city. I kept waking up and thinking I was in Times Square, even on the 13th floor ! things were getting pretty loud.

Yelp
I loved this place it was an amazing experience the staff is so friendly this girl helped us out so much she gave me her card but I lost it when I packed I think her name started with a G or J she was very kind and took us all the way to our room and showed us everything! They have great hospitality I really wanted to give her a shoutout bc she went above and beyond and helped us get around so much too! If I find her card I will add her name! The hotel is beautiful and smell amazing! The breakfast buffet is a must
