Overall is a great place to stay, staff are polite , can understand simple English, got free public spring on the top floor, got free self service lounge but depend on your room type. The bad thing for me that no washing machine for self laundry but they do have laundry, so for long stay in Hokkaido, better to stay in hotel with self laundry. Short stay will be fine. Given 4 stars becos of the laundry, personal comment, doesn’t mean the hotel is not good. The place is clean and 7-11 and family mart nearby. Direct view of the Sapporo Tower.

Pros: best beds! This was the 6th hotel in our month long Japan trip their firm Simmons mattresses are the best. Good public bath on the top floor with an open to sky outdoor tub. Excellent friendly staff. Little things like reprogramming the escalator to go down during check out hours, seats at the elevator lobbies, and code to access to the baths makes the stay nicer. Best prefeb bathrooms and also nicely appointed deco. Room size was bigger than your standard business chain hotel. Great location too to Sapporo Station and Odori Park. Cons: although the breakfast selection was adequate, it badly lacked variety. Everyday was the exact same items/menu. I strongly recommend that they change out 20-30% like other hotels. For this reason alone we can not stay more than 5 days. We moved to another hotel due to this breakfast issue. Overall, we would stay here again but again for not more than 4-5 nights due to the breakfast. Its a real pity because we like everything else about it. Almost a prefect score.

Cross Hotel was at a most convenient location - 8 min walk from Sapporo Station. The rooms were decent size for the price and the onsen was a lovely facility. Outside the hotel, there is a very nice matcha shop and izakaya. Very convenient when you want to just grab some food after a long flight. Nearby is the quaint Clock Tower and an office building with very good authentic sushi on the ground floor and good eateries in the underground. The service was excellent. I forgot my iPad and Miki and the hotel staff kept it for me and also delivered the iPad to the train station so I will not miss my flight. I am forever grateful to Miki and the kind gentlemen I spoke to.

This hotel has courteous staff. we checked in and out smoothly. It’s walking distance about 5mins from Sapporo station, which is also accessible through sapporo underground pathwalk. Very convenient. The hotel is amazingly clean, both the toilet, towels and beddings. There’s only one comment on the towels, they are a little bit worn out, but still it’s super clean. Public bath is also clean and relaxing. Plus the fragrance at the hotel lobby is really refreshing. Overall, it’s superb for a 3star hotel.

Very good location, not far from metro, and walking distance to most attractions within the city. Comfortable room, and good cleaning policy upon request. Nice view of the city from the public bath. Amenity kit can be improved.

The rooms were clean and the location is great. You’re walking distance from Sapporo station and the popular shopping street and fish market. The women’s onsen is always crowded. Even if you wait it will always be crowded so just go early instead of waiting :)

“Convenient Stay at Hotel Cross Sapporo ⏳✨”We had a great stay at Hotel Cross Sapporo, mainly because of its outstanding location! It’s just a short walk to Sapporo Clock Tower and the observation tower where you can check the time while enjoying the city view. Plus, it’s conveniently near the train station and bus stops, making it super easy to get around. The room was a bit smaller than expected, but it was still comfortable and well-equipped. The amenities were great, though we didn’t get the chance to explore them fully. I believe there’s a sauna or onsen on the topmost floor, which would have been nice to try!Overall, a solid choice for convenience and comfort in Sapporo. Would definitely consider staying again! #HotelCrossSapporo #SapporoStay #JapanTravel

Our room was very comfy and clean. Although it’s small we were able to comfortably keep all three luggage with us during our stay. Really enjoyed the views from the top of the hotel.

Yelp
Our first hotel in Sapporo was a hotel named Cross. This hotel has many all across Japan and had high ratings so I decided to make reservations for it. This hotel had complimentary breakfast and also on the top floor had spa amenities which are separated by men and women. Do not bring your phone in here and just use the sauna and different temperature pools. Super relaxing!! Also, we had a lounge access which is on the lobby floor that has complimentary wine, alcohol and little snacks during 3:00 PM till 9:00 PM I believe. Just the food alone is amazing! Also the service of this hotel staff was on top of their game. They helped us ship our luggage to Otaru because we didn't want to lug it on the train.

Yelp
Aloha Yelpers! Yelping in Japan doesn't seem to be the best option for up to date reviews, but let's try! Searching for hotels is a difficult task because you want to find the absolute best option that has the best location on the places you want to go, while having the best price, good amenities, and decent reviews. That is how I found Cross Hotel Sapporo! The location was excellent--a few blocks from the main rail station, easy access to the underground subway, near bus stops, multiple convenience stores, and walkable distances to places of interest. The style of this hotel eclectic with interesting artwork in their rooms and throughout the hotel. The check in and check out process was quick and easy. You just use the machine! Enter your reservation number, scan your passports, answer some questions, and a couple of keycards come out. Easy peasy! The room was cozy, small for me, but I was able to make it a lot more spacious with some rearranging of furniture :). Make sure you read the menu/handbook! There are a lot of details and extra amenities available to you--mostly for free--such as a towel warmer, towel rack, iron&board, and etc. Also, the bathroom amenities are actually located in the lobby (which I only found out about because I didn't read anything till the next day! And we bought toothpaste and brush!). There's no laundry room, but they have laundry service that's outsourced, and they did a good job on my hoodies and shirts. Looked like brand new! Breakfast buffet is available, but seems pricey, and you're in Sapporo! Go out! Though, breakfast isn't as popular here lol, and option are limited. The top floor is the Daiyokujou (public bath). I tried it for the experience, and it was...refreshing? The facilities are nice and well kept. Nice panoramic views of the city, and there's an outdoor one as well. Warm water with the cool breeze was nice. The entire staff from the front desk to housekeeping are excellent. Pleasant and accommodating, and do their best in communicating in English. A big plus here is the security and the sense of safety, but you generally feel safe anyway. You need a key where ever you go, and the elevator will always stop at the lobby level for security purposes. Overall, this was a solid, no frills, straightforward hotel with a decent amount of amenities, a breakfast buffet, and a public bath at the top level. I'm sure there are better hotels around, but this was more than acceptable for the value. The location was excellent. Convenient to everywhere, which was the main goal. Wouldn't mind staying here again.

Yelp
Cross Hotel Sapporo. Why four stars? Location, location, location!!! Although there are numerous other positives to this hotel and our experience during our stay here, the primary advantage is their awesome location: walking distance from the Sapporo station, Odori park, Sapporo Clock Tower, Nijo fish market, shopping (Sapporo Factory, ESTA, etc.), restaurants, etc. Sapporo Beer Factory and Beer Museum are also nearby. Other positives: + The hotel is new and modern. + The lobby is decorated in a trendy black, red and silver scheme. + Restaurant on the 3rd floor. + Bar on the 2nd floor. + Modern onsen on the 18th floor. + Our room was a quad room designed to accommodate up to four people. As such, it was quite roomy - particularly in regards to the Japanese hotel standard. The bathroom was also quite spacious, with separate areas/divisions for the toilet, double sink/vanity, and shower room. Our friends had that standard double room and that was also a good size. + Pleasant and helpful staff. + Free wifi. + Found this gem on Expedia for a damned near steal.

Yelp
Modern and chic. A bit more on the rich side but right in the heart of Sapporo city makes for simple easy access anywhere around town. Bicycles are available for rental at ¥1000/day or ¥1500 2days. Make for the easiest way to leisurely get around the city. 18th floor has common bath with great night views of the city. Underground garage makes for easy hassle free parking (much needed in Hokkaido) Rooms are one the small side and tv is awkwardly placed. No hotel in Japan is complete without its breakfast place, and wow, the breakfast at Cross does not disappoint, amazing fresh assortment of Japanese and western style. The scallops are simply amazing! Highly recommend!

Yelp
My mother took me here for lunch while o was visiting my home town. It's a buffet style lunch and you can pick one main dish from 3-4 options. I cannot recall how many time I went back to get that melting prosciutto. Locally grown pork prosciutto that was not salty at all. I can't wait to come home again because of this lunch! It get crowded by noon so you may want to get here as soon as they open.

Yelp
Cross Hotel is conveniently located about two or three blocks away from Sapporo main station. The hotel restaurant looked pretty good, but I didn't get a chance to try. There were so many dining options literally surrounding the hotel. The Gyoza and Izakaya restaurants next door were quite good for late night snacks. We stayed at the urban style room for the first few nights, and the hip style room after our return trip from onsen. The urban style room on cross floor was quite nice with generous space and good amenities. The Kalita coffee set-up was a nice touch. The hip style room on standard floor was a bit small, but the in-room massage chair almost made up for it. The hot bath on the top floor was great for relaxation after a long day. I wish more hotels have this amenity. This made me wonder why so many Las Vegas hotels charge resort fees when they don't offer the same quality of amenities.

Yelp
We stayed here 7 nights and we loved it! The location was great, we got into Chitose and took the train-walked over from the station. We loved the yakitori restaurant next door, soo good! They spoke great English at the front and were very helpful Our room was small but comfortable. We loved the bathroom-nice large tub and shower and a separate room for the toilet. Had breakfast twice at the hotel, make sure to buy tickets day before to get discount-it was a nice spread of food. We walked less than 2 blocks to take a airport limousine back to the airport. Loved the price and accommodations here.

Yelp
I think this is a strong 3, but a couple things put it over the top. As Angelo says, location is excellent - very walkable to a lot of things in the central city, and a couple different train stations, so that's a big plus. Also very helpful staff and very reasonable prices (especially when booked through Hotels.com). Rooms are good sized - our double had two beds and a pull out couch, plus a spacious bathroom. Definitely not cramped for space at all. Beds were also quite comfy. Plus the hotel has a bath on the top floor, which is kind of nice if you're in to that sort of thing. Part of the bath is outside, which is cool, although don't get too excited - I was picturing some kind of edge to edge infinity pool with uninterrupted views of the entire city...but it's really just a small pool outside with a roof open to the sky. I still like the cool air/hot water combo - reminiscent of the Blue Lagoon spa in Iceland. One thing to note, every outlet in our room was 2 prong, and my laptop has a 3 prong plug. So if you have 3 prong electronics, you need a plug type adapter or you might be shut out. This was literally the only place in Japan I got caught out by this, but the front desk does have plug adapters for sale (not for loan) at a reasonable price. So, in summary, would definitely return if I was back in Sapporo (and not only because I forgot a box of shiroi kobito in the in-room fridge!)
