I am writing to formally report the unacceptable conditions and treatment my party experienced at Crossroads Inn in Sacramento, California.
Upon check-in, we were given a room with a malfunctioning air conditioning unit that emitted a foul, moldy odor. The smell was so strong it made the room unbearable. When we requested a room change, we were moved to another room — but the conditions were just as bad, if not worse.
The second room had a dirty, unsanitary microwave and fridge, both of which had visible grime and food residue. Several drawers in the room were broken and unusable. The walls and ceilings were stained, giving the entire room a neglected and unsafe feel. The general cleanliness of the room and amenities was far below even basic hospitality standards.
When we addressed these concerns with hotel management, we were met with unprofessional and outright rude behavior. Instead of offering to resolve the issue or show any form of hospitality, we were told to “just stay at a hotel across the street” if we didn’t like it. This dismissive attitude added insult to an already extremely disappointing experience.
We feel that we did not receive the quality of service we paid for, and we urge the appropriate authorities or review platforms to look into the conditions at this property. No guest should be treated this way.
If i could give zero stars, I would !! We will never book here again. I have absolutely nothing good to say about this place or the staff. ALSO is WAYY overpriced to be this nasty, they don’t have wi-fi nor breakfast like they say they do when you book.
