Crossroads Motel

In response to Thomas Foster from 8 months ago This person still baffles my mind.I do not know what his problem was .He had a bad attitude from day one.He came in with a crew of six other guys.The other guys where great.None of them had a problem or were a problem,like Thomas was .If it wasn't for Thomas working with the rest of this crew,he would have been asked to leave within a week.I put up with his nonsense for two months.His foreman was also staying here and after two months of his attitude he also had enough of thomas and sent him to a different job site a month before their job was complete here .Every one was glad to see him gone ,even the guys he worked with.Now in response to some of his comments . He was not paying $60.00 a night he was paying $240.00 per week .Which is our weekly rate.Yes ,this an old motel that we are working on it takes a lot of money and a lot of time. The ceiling did start to sag .It was fixed in two days.There is no mice in the walls we have a pest control company for things like that.We have hard and soft mattresses here the last working guy that was in Thomases room had a bad back .So trying to help him ,I went to Menards and bought a sheet of plywood to put between the box spring and mattress to make his stay more comferitable ,I'm sorry i did not take it out for thomas,but he never told me it was a problem for him, or I would have removed it.There are no tweekers here.There was a couple staying next to him that were trying to start a cleaning service,so they kept odd hours . I guess to thomas that makes you a tweeker.This guy has so much nonsense in these comments . Like I said earlier this guy baffles my mind. Funny how he forgets to mention he had clean towels every day, his room was cleaned good every week and he was always treated with respect. The best part is.There are a lot of other motels in the area if it was so horrible staying here, he could have easily went to one of them.So after 8 months and all the other people that have stayed here, not one complaint except for that John that did not know how to push a button. Bottom line is please consider the source of people who comment.Some are just out to be spiteful for what ever reason. Please just check our earlier reviews and ignore this guy. Really old and run down. Microwave and refrigerator not working. Water came out BROWN AND NASTY. I would have demanded my money back but the owner is gone in the evening to a 2nd job, I assume. WAY OVERPRICED FOR WHAT IT IS! Do not stay there.

For the price of 60 a night find something else , this hotel manager will empty the trash yes but leave the used dirty bag in the trash can to save money , I find it disgusting really . The box spring in my room was broke still not fixed , I slept on that box spring for a week then switched the beds after letting the manager know the box was broke, he knew it was broke there is ply board under the matress , the ceiling was caving in I told the manager about it and he told me the place is old. A few days later he fixed the wire holding the tile in , I can hear mice in the walls , loud neighbors tweekers up all night . . The Manager came in room at 5 am because he thought I was at work really what manager disturbs people at 5 am , if you are running a hotel in my travel and extensive years of experience with managers you do not disturb the guest unless they need assistance check out or have a sign that says so , trying to save money by turning the ac off does not excuse being disturbed , I do not like coming back from work to a hot room .there's better hotels for 60 a night .

Heading to Missouri and my sister is disabled and Dan had a 3 bed room for us for an awesome price ! It’s clean and comfortable and everyone is so nice ! The manager of his other hotel up the road had me follow her here to get the key Kindest people here ! Will recommend Crossroads to all my friends and family!

Dan owned two motels either one you would love to stay at, Dan gives personal room service every morning, fresh towels, empty’s trash, if you need anything he is there to help. The rooms are big, clean each room w a view of the county, flat screen tvs he even puts two refrigerator in for workers to have own, now my main comment he keeps the grounds perfect … Do yourself and others be considerate of Dan and other guest , smoke out by the table, pick up your cigarettes, if you have a dog, PICK-up after them. Pick up your trash. PLEASE then I know your stay will be perfect.. Enjoy oh there is a Casey’s / Dollar General both are clean and you can get all your food n drink👩🏻‍🌾🙋🏼‍♀️

I stay here for work off and on. Rooms are clean and the hospitality of the owners is superb. I stay at a lot of hotels and this is one of the best values out there. Thank You for another quiet stay.

It is an older building but was perfect for my mom and I to stay at to visit my Grandpa down the street! Owners are very nice! Had all we needed! I'd ask for a TV that didn't make a loud high pitch noise for a while when turned on and both little fridges were not very cold, and we needed a towel to step out on from the shower! Those were the only little things but we dealt 😂 The place does the job though! :)

We stayed for weeks. Quiet as can be . It's also the cheapest place around. I checked. The owner is more than happy to clean up the rooms and get you clean linen etc.. The owner lives at a nearby motel he owns so it's best to call first as he likely won't be there. All in all, no complaints. Support local business owners not these chains .
