Crown Fried Chicken on Boston Ave never disappoints! The chicken is always hot, crispy, and full of flavor exactly what you want when you’re craving fried chicken. The menu has plenty of options, and everything I’ve tried has been fresh and tasty. The service is quick, and the staff is friendly and respectful every time I stop by. Prices are fair, portions are generous, and it’s open late, which is super convenient. Definitely one of my go to spots in Bridgeport when I want a good meal.

Do try the catfish fried hard and bring your own onion and garlic powder.

Every since covid the store has been a drive thru only, I can't say for sure that there standards are still as high as before covid...but for the fried whiting I risked it all...lmao

Was driving through late night and saw this place open. Seemed like a hole in the wall, but cleanly atmosphere, so only right to try it. I got the 4 piece and was very pleased. Chicken was FRESH. I could tell the grease was also. I will be back when I'm in the area to try something else on the menu. It's definitely worth it.

I just spent over $20 on a 9 peace tender that I thought was coming with fries!!!!! The tenders are nothing but store bought frozen tenders!!!!!!!! I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!! I could of bought chicken and made homemade tenders so much better

They sent me the wrong order even though I wrote instructions that I dont eat lamb and I want extra white sauce and when I called them about it, the desi guy hung up on me. Very rude. Very inconsiderate. Don’t order from them. They gave me lamb and no white sauce at all. It was supposed to be my dinner.

Go late night. It seems if I go earlier than ten pm and order flounder I get something else. After ten flounder is flounder.

Open late and makes for a quick bite to eat. I like the chicken and fries here. I don't like that I have to walk through the drive through to place an order instead of being able to walk in but what ever I guess. I recommend coming here if you want some good fried chicken.

Come here often for my daughters' 3 piece chicken combo. I'm not sure how KFC been in business all these years across from this place, because the chicken taste real over here. Today they forgot my mash potatoes, the way the receipt looks, I'm not even sure if they charged me for it. The service is always friendly and the line usually goes fast. This is a better option compared to all the fast food around here.

Don't even play in my face when it comes down to talking about Crown Fried Chicken bay-bee!! I was not sure what to expect when I first pulled up for the spot looks weathered and unloved. I even noticed a sign on the door that read, "Drive-Thru Only" meaning they are not even trying to deal with customers face to face anymore.... lol... Nah, that is not the real reason but it was a bit strange. I already knew what I wanted to order and so let us begin with their nuggets. These chicken nuggz were a cross between McDonalds and Wendy's nuggets in my opinion. Not greasy, light crispiness and a decent amount of chicken within. Tender bite, definitely not overcooked and I was feeling the flavor on these lil' bad boys all the same. They did not even need dipping sauce! This moves us along to the Chicken Tenders which are fairly large in size, plenty of chicken and again, not greasy at all. An even crispier bite than the nuggets and very tasty for the small up-charge. Now I am on to the chicken itself, which I went with the 4pc option. Golden brown, EXTREMELY HOT because it came out wild fresh and though its a bit greasy, it was the batter that was lightly salted which carried this chicken on through to then finish line and I enjoyed each bite. The only bad part about this are their French fries and though you get more fries than you ever seen....lol.... They aren't good. Seemed boiled other than fried and far too soft for me. Needed salt and a good fryer to make these fries anything worth having. The pre-packaged sweet potato pie rivals that of some of my own Family's sweet potato pies!! Sweet and bangin', very tasty and smooth. Plenty of cinnamon and nutmeg with the right amount of sugar. Very enjoyable.

the food here is horrible... i ordered a chicken sandwich and mozzarella sticks and the chicken sandwich was so soggy it literally had black stuff in the meat... the only good thing here was the mozzarella sticks they were juicy and good, and the curly fries were tuff to chew they had no seasoning they were horrible, never go here.

True hood chicken. It's great. Sides needed extra seasoning in my opinion. Perfect for ordering in when the wife is out.

Good food, usually friendly gentlemen running the inside. Their Uber Eats menu isn't set up properly. No combos that they sell, and pricing is off. They'd probably make more bread if they fixed it. Don't sleep on the catfish. Yes, the fish.

I know this franchise from New York, great fried chicken! Good to know that they are in BPT too! You can walk in or drive thru, but no matter how you get there you will leave with some good fried chicken.

I've been to plenty crowns back in NY during my college days and some Brooklyn summer nights ( oh how I miss those days). This was my first time here even though I've passed this location for years. It wasn't until a few weeks ago that I noticed it had a drive thru (something I never seen any Crowns Fried Chicken in NY have). To ME crowns is your basic "hood" fried chicken spot. You can get a chicken sandwich or a burger with fries meal including a drink for less than 10 bucks. Also there are cheesestakes, chicken nuggets, chicken fries, fish, shrimp and to my surprise (at this location) gyros, and lamb over rice meals, still less than 10 bucks. They are also known for their desserts. I've always loved their sweet potato pies; individually wrapped mini pies. They have peach cobbler, banana pudding, cheese cake, chocolate cake and some other stuff. We ordered the cheese steak meal, I substituted my fries for onion rings and the lamb and chicken mix over rice. 2 sweet potato pies and 2 pizza rolls (to eat on the drive back home). Drive thru, we had 2 cars in front of us at 11:20ish pm, we paid and then was asked to park up front so someone could bring us our order. By that time drive thru was packed. My cheese steak was so messy and gooey. Lots of meat, green peppers, onions, lettuce, tomato, mayo. I was HAPPY. The lamb and chicken meal looked amazing. They already put sauce on top. We were starving and I forgot to take pictures. This will be my late night crave spot.

The fried chicken is flavorful and juicy. The mozzarella sticks the best, the chicken over rice is just how they make it in New York, and everything else is good. Can't go wrong if you're looking for fried chicken

Ordered an 8 piece family meal yesterday. Menu online said.... 'Family Meals... Value Pack $9.99 8 pcs chicken, 3 rolls, 1/2 pt salad, 2 mashed potatoes'. Didn't receive any rolls and only received 1 order of mashed potatoes. We were charged $15.99 for this! My husband called to nicely complain about the lack of food and the price. He was told that the prices online are old. When he nicely said that they should update their menu, the person hung up on him! NEVER AGAIN!

Horrible food! The chicken was cold hard and and old . My Order wasn't even correct. I didn't get everything I ordered.I also noticed if they don't have certain pieces of chicken you want they will give you any chicken I seen them do that to another customer. also they aren't very friendly.

The chicken is ok. A little under seasoned. Fried well but dry tasting. The employees are nice and patient. Ive watched disrespectful patrons be nasty with them and they kept their cool.

Decent quality food. Food was hot and fresh and service was quick. Good flavor chicken. I tend to like Popeye's more but that's just my personal taste. They also carry several types of fish and seafood. I would come back here again.

Chicken was good a step up from KFC but not the best. Chicken was seasoned well and pieces were a good size. However it was sitting under the lamp too long. Some pieces dried out and others became tough. Employee serving us was nice so I would come back to try again.

Best fried chicken hands down come here every other day best philly cheese steaks were you can see the grease from the bag. 5 star customer service and best quality chicken once again

Literally just ordered from here and specifically said ranch dressing. They never get my order right no matter what. READ THE ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS BECAUSE YOU CAN KILL SOMEONE WITH AN ALLERGY! I am allergic to blue cheese.

This is down home cooking. For those of you who know fried chicken, thus is legit. Boom.

This place has became a regular for my husband and I. We literally make a stop every time we're in CT (every weekend, that is!) By far the best food and clean environment! They recently added some new items to their menu, their Kabobs are a MUST try! :)

will Never go there again , they always forget something out my order but charge me for it, it's happened 4 times to many

I enjoy the food. Especially the fish. .I would have gave it another star but my rating is based on food ...not customer service. I suggest use cash only. I was charged twice for the same order on my credit card. I didn't notice it until I looked at my statement. I brought the matter to their manger. He said I need to take it up with owner. I tried to get it resolved with owner but could never reach him I'm not saying not to try the food... I'm just saying to save yourself problems ...just use cash. Just a little FYI

Good fresh chicken , coleslaw was good added hot sauce to make mine spicy. Staff is friendly and helpful. I'm so full didn't try the desserts but they all looked good seafood salad looked awesome . Thanks for lunch

It was so good on Friday I went back on Saturday. Excellent! It reminds me of the deep fried chicken I had in Maryland, double battered and cooked in a pressurized deep cylindrical fryer. Sides were cole slaw and mashed with gravy excellent and the biscuit is good. spices on chicken are rite on. Price was rite also not expensive. Wish they had one closer to me!

Whenever I need a lot of fried chicken for a party or outing, this is where I go. They are reliable and the fried chicken taste like I made it myself.

Hands down best fast food restaurant, everything is fresh and every time I go the service is amazing and fast. Everything on the menu is amazing there's not one thing that's bad

I'm from queens and I came down here to see my family they took me to this place and the food was so good I thought only queens would have the best fast food but hands down they have great customer service and great food looking forward to come again

I wish I could give it a freaking zero!! How is this place still open? They gave me spoiled/molded food and didn't apologize they just said bring it in and we'll replace it.

My husband and I were in the area and decided to give this place a try and I'm so glad we did. The chicken and lamb kabob is so delicious and seasoned perfectly. I can eat it everyday without ever getting tired of it. We also had the fried chicken and it was one of the tastiest chickens I have had in a long time. The staff is so welcoming and friendly and the place is clean. Loved the food and that's the first place I'm going to when I'm around that area. Give it a try you will not regret it.

Going to this crown is always a must when in Bridgeport! They have the best chicken hands down. Their new menu has so much more to offer , their kabob is delicious! Love this place, really recommend it if you're looking for tasty food.

I've been going to this franchise specifically for over 5 years now. Every Time that I've went, I would ask for a fresh batch and wait on avg 15 mins and I didn't mind. Today I asked for the same, a fresh batch and I wouldn't mind waiting, though this time, the associate was absolutely rude. He said he wouldn't cook us a fresh batch, and when I said I would leave, he smirked and said that he didn't care. Obviously, he doesn't care about customers returning because he had no issue with me leaving. Rather go to KFC.

Me and my family had a blast not only that the food was delicious! But fresh as well! But most importantly the customer service was awesome! Sha H

The best food in the area. I enjoy it every time I come here. Best service chicken is very tasty. I try fish with rice it was good and hot wings make sure you guys try it.

Love the wings here. I would say it is better than the KFC across the street in terms of freshness. When you first order the wings, the skin is nice and crisp and doesn't become soggy the next day. Flavorwise: just the right amount of spices although it is a bit more on the saltier side.
