Crown Vista Hotel Batam

Old Hotel tucked on top of the hill with scenic views Batam all round. Nice environment and fresh air but apartments lack a little repair. Hotel is old but still ok with big rooms. Location is out of the city and not many amenities nearby. Has a good Chinese restaurant on level 3.

The counter staff was friendly and helpful.The hotel is far from the shopping center, but the hotel provides shuttle bus service, which is quite convenient.Hotel lobby is magnificent, with many antiques and is great for taking photos.The breakfast was delicious and the waiter service was great.Overall, happy to stay in this hotel.

This hotel has character but it's old. It showed like one and smell like one. My deluxe room was in B1 (it sounds bad although it's because of the hilly terrain it was built on), of decent size with huge balcony. But i found dust all over furnitures, with partition doors, wardrobes all having quite bad wear and tear. The corridor had unpleasant smell due to humidity and during out stay, a few rooms beside us had very bad HVAC trunk leakage. The bathtub was creaking and really in dire need of maintenance/renovation. Location-wise, it looks central but it's up the hill and in the middle of one-way road...so any cars must circle it, making what seemingly a short journey in the map a longer one.

Moreover, the hotel provides a free shuttle service to local malls in the morning. While the hotel is situated away from the hustle and bustle, the staff ensures that everything remains easily accessible for guests. If you're a traveling professional seeking a tranquil retreat where you can concentrate on work during the day and enjoy a Balqis concert at night, do not miss the opportunity to make this hotel your home for at least one night.

The view is spectacular, the staff are amazing. Steven front of house, Donna at D’nest bar, Nia and Tiara at breakfast. |The hotel reminds me of the Overlook from The Shining. Yes it’s that dated.|I was there for 3 weeks as I had prepaid, big mistake. My executive room was missing bits of wallpaper, had bugs squashed into wall. Do not touch the curtains without gloves. The bathroom had so many leaks we needed a Welsh plumber ! It had no food or drinks available from 9am (end of breakfast) until 5pm. Room service at a premium price was available so why not have a bar open? There are no shops or any amenities within walking distance it’s a taxi everywhere. In fact walking was out of the question as no lit roads and no pavements. At random times of day the mosque, I timed them, from 4am was so loud you could not have a quiet conversation and even indoors it was still loud. That was before Ramadan. |It must have been a fabulous hotel in its past life but now needs major refurbishment.

This hotel sits on top of a hill and has a commanding view of Batam city. I stayed in a balcony room and enjoyed sitting outside looking over the city. The pool is relaxing and the entire place is quiet. Their staff are helpful, friendly and polite. The service is very good. They provide shuttle service from the ferry terminal. Breakfast is decent. The bed is very comfy. This hotel is rather old but well maintained. Going to the town is a bit far. Overall I enjoyed my stay here and give it a 4.5 star rating.

I didn't expect there to be a place as beautiful as this in the middle of the city with views of Batam City. complete facilities, clean and very friendly service. as comfortable as home. the best thing is the open swimming pool at one with nature...
