Front desk staff was very helpful, but I think management needs improvement. Sat outside at the Hat Tavern (lovely ambiance) but the heaters were out of gas. Room was lovely & bed comfortable, but hallway had many discarded room service trays. No ice machine on our floor. Luggage carts were squeaky or hard to turn - need maintenance. Still, location is good for us & prices reasonable. We would stay there again.

Nice sized room. Cozy chair & footrest, + nice swivel office chair. Small clean bathroom. Mattress was comfortable, but 'blanket' was paper thin. It was terribly uncomfortable to sleep with it. They really need to provide a thicker blanket! Also, shower has an interesting setup. No door, & lots of water ends up outside on the bathroom floor. Also can't turn it on without actually being in the shower already, so need to quickly move lever to hot, though I still got cold water on me. Not exactly pleasant. Otherwise very nice, courteous staff. Lots of conference rooms etc. There are some couches & armchairs strewn throughout the 1st & 2nd floors to sit on if needed, though it's extremely noisy when lots of people are downstairs.

The rooms themselves are great and alone I would say 5 star quality. They are clean comfortable, spacious. The biggest issue is that the staff is not friendly at all. When I check into a hotel I would expect a friendly hello, a warm welcome. It's almost as if you are bothering them when you approach the desk. They are very unorganized and messed up my reservation 3 times. That's 3 different times I had to call back when finally I called the corporate office to make my changes. On a few occasions I approached the front desk to purchase water and multiple employees were standing around chatting it up...Looked at me like "ugh what do you want." I would recommend staying merely for the convenience of the hotel and the nice rooms. But honestly, I don't care how nice your rooms are some of the staff need a major lesson on customer service. Just beware of the rudeness of the staff!

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel during my trip to Lake Compounce Park. I found it to be clean and quite comfortable. There were only 2 of 3 elevators working, but they were getting the job done. The pool is not actually in the same building, and it's a bit of a walk to get there - almost feels like a rat in a maze. Once you do get there, the pool is small, but nice. Housekeeping was fantastic. The biggest problem during my stay, as others have mentioned, is the super bright lighting of the parking lot. If your room happens to face this way, it feels that you're on stage if the drapes are open. Also, the noise from the interstate gets into the room quite well - you can hear the traffic fairly well all day and all night. (Maybe some new windows are needed to deaden the noise.) The prices of things inside the hotel were a little high, but the room rate was very competitive. I would have no problem returning to this hotel, IF I could stay on the "dark side."

While I can recognize that this is an aging structure, there really is no excuse for the lack of cleaning. The bar top was never, I mean never mopped during the evening with so many patrons coming and going. There was dried residue from the previous day clearly there. The bar staff lacks training. The elevator buttons are gross. The guest room smelled like cigarettes, but otherwise was clean. There is a shuttle bus but no one to drive it. The parking lot is poorly lit as the pole lights aren’t in use, just one large blinding spot directed across the space. Makes for a spooky place to walk after dark. The staff was friendly, but just seem to lack in training. This is definitely the least appealing stop in a road trip with multiple stays in various properties.

The place was just OK. Room was simple, with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was dated, missing lights and the shower was but a trickle. There were many large groups staying this past weekend which made sleeping a real challenge with what sounded as parties going on until 2:30 AM. What really was irresponsible was the fact that you could not access the elevator for long periods of time due to the coming and going of the large groups. Management had no presence in the lobby and it was chaos since there were only two elevators. Had we known this, we would have stayed elsewhere.

Hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom shower could use some improvements. The single glass panel is open at the rear third so spray comes out onto the floor. Also the shower head is at eye level for me and I'm only about 5'10". But overall a pleasant affordable stay.
