Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts Asheville, an IHG Hotel

This place is truly a hidden gem. It’s very quiet and peaceful on top of the hill. The grounds are beautiful. Perfect for walking or biking. There is a zip line and bike place with pump tracks Right next to it walking distance. The people here are very friendly. It’s clean. You can tell they work really hard to make it an enjoyable place to stay. The food at the restaurant is excellent. The location is just a short drive to Asheville attractions such as the parkway, downtown, the Grove Park inn, and Sierra Nevada. You can use the pool on site both indoor or outdoor and the racquetball club. We love coming in here. We’ve been four times and counting and every time it’s been fantastic.

The place is very nice and comfortable, and the staff was kind and attentive. The rooms could use a little upgrade, but everything was spotless and the location is excellent. The only disappointment was that we chose this resort mainly because of the indoor pool, and it turned out to be closed for repairs, something not mentioned on the website. Other than that, everything else was great and we enjoyed our stay.

The staff was outstanding! Super friendly and attentive. Location was central to our activities. Atmosphere in the lobby was great. Outside the lobby/main building (basically where all the rooms are) was drab and dated. The room was a basic hotel room...it was clean. Value was so/so - peak leaf weekend so everything was high. 350/night was not a good value. My biggest concern was the fire pit and fire place. These features were not functioning properly and pose a fire hazard and danger in my opinion.

We stayed here for our wedding, and while the location is amazing, I think the hotel is problematically understaffed. We hung out with our wedding party in lounge and bar over the proceeding 3 days and witnessed 1 bartender running ragged for those 3 days in a row + common areas of the hotel lounge remaining dirty and un-attended to over the course of 12 hours. This hotel is eco-friendly so if you want it cleaned by maid service, you have to call the front desk and they still will not come to clean your room and bring clean towels. Overall, I wish we'd stayed at a Holiday Inn and I will be sure to tell friends visiting Asheville to stay elsewhere, no matter how good the food or location is. 3/10 stars, good location, friendly staff, really dirty overall. Edit: also you can hear every word your neighbors are exchanging. No privacy at all.

Charming hotel with exceptionally friendly and professional staff. I usually don't eat hotel breakfast buffets (prefer to opt for local mom&pop restaurants) BUT legit effort is put into this one. Don't skip! The room was clean and the beds were comfy. The hotel is just a couple minutes drive from downtown, and they do have shuttles which will take you for a small fee.

First off Joe at the bar is awesome! Super pissed the hottub is out of order due to renovations after having a 7 hr drive. After the long drive that's the only thing I was looking forward to. BUT joe made up for it at the bar. He made the best made the best fm scratch margarita! As well as them giving me free breakfast for the 2 night stay since the hottub wasnt working. Room was clean & beds soft. No smell like other reviews had mentioned!

Just recently got married and used the Crowne Plaza Resort as our hotel & for our guests. We worked with Chloe to help get our room blocks set up and she helped provide everything we needed. Last minute we needed a place for the bridesmaids to get ready and Chloe hooked us up quick! We were very appreciative. They even sent us champagne & free meals at the hotel restaurant on our wedding day. The bar and service were awesome and they even kept the bar open late for our wedding party. We are really glad that we chose the Crowne Plaza for our stay.

Stayed here a few times now and honestly it’s a great hotel. The staff have always been helpful. The food at overlook is always delicious. There have been times when checking in we don’t have any toiletries in the room or the pool is closed but they have a ton of other amenities and the location is fantastic.
