Where to Stay in Madrid (Updated 2025)

"Set east of El Retiro, this large hotel’s 338 rooms are bathed in natural light and include the modern trappings you expect (Wi‑Fi, TVs, safes), plus a gym and daily laundry service, which makes it a practical pick for families." - Matthew Kepnes

Excellent hotel in a great location. It's not far from Retiro Park and several metro stations. The room was spacious and cozy, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was also excellent, with a good selection of food. The hotel staff were extremely polite and friendly and helped with any questions that arose. I definitely recommend it!

Our recent stay at the hotel was exceptional from start to finish. The service throughout the property was consistently outstanding, and every interaction reinforced the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and extremely comfortable — providing the perfect environment to relax after long days of travel. The staff was responsive, attentive, and always willing to assist with anything we needed. Among them, Carol truly stood out. She exemplified world-class hospitality, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. From personalized recommendations to her warm, genuine approach, Carol made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. She is, without question, our favorite employee and a remarkable asset to the hotel. Overall, we highly recommend this property for its excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and exceptional staff. We look forward to staying here again.

Arriving in Madrid after a long flight, I felt instantly at ease at Crowne Plaza Madrid Centre Retiro. Check-in was smooth and the staff so warm—they even let me check in early 😊. My room was spotless, quiet, and perfectly comfortable, with blackout curtains that helped me sleep like a baby (no jet lag at all!). I really appreciated the hotel’s eco-friendly touches 🌍—glass water bottles with a refill station offering still, cold, and even sparkling water, plus refillable bathroom amenities instead of wasteful plastics. A thoughtful balance of comfort and sustainability. Truly a wonderful stay, and I’d happily return! 🛏️

Overall nice hotel and good place. Little suggestions to the hotel to make yourself better : 1. Shower room design is poor such that water easily goes out no matter how hard you try to avoid.2. No USB (both A and C) power socket available in the room. Front desk has no adapters for clients for free (they sell 5 EUR each).

1st time in Espania, and decided to start with Madrid. A vibrant and happening city it is. And our accomidation- Crowne Paza Madrid, did not disappoint. |Cozy lounge which could get abit crowded during busy check-in period, but comfy enough for us. Rooms arw well mantained, service is awesome. The receptionist arw always helpful with suggestions and recommendations. Our favourite is the breakfast, while not too much variety, they have good selection. We were always happy to come doen every morning (:|The only thing that could be improved would be the entrance. While I understand there is another entrance at the back for luggages, most of the time, taxis will stop at the main/front entrance. And to carry luggages up and down (check in and check out) is abit challenging. Apart from that, we had a great stay.

Arrived at hotel and found the underground car park. Checked in, staff were really friendly and spoke good English. |Hotel decor was lovely. Room was a great size, clean and tidy. Bathroom was huge, with bath and shower. |The had dinner in the hotel restaurant - food was lovely and again the staff were polite and friendly. |The portions were on the small side, and pretty expensive.|Breakfast…..we were advised the choice was either the hot buffet at 20€ each, or continental at 16€ each….we decided on the continental. |The lady then asked what we wanted, either toast or a croissant…|I paid 16€ for each of us and we received a coffee , OJ and a slice of toast. We went to try go up for the Buffett for some a croissant, only to be told, we weren’t allowed, the buffet was only for the people who paid for the 20€ hot beakfast option!!|The 3 stars are due to the price of the breakfast….16€ for a machine coffee, and slice of toast…you’re kidding me!!

Room is spacious, clean and they provided delicious hot chocolate powder! Location was close to many bus stops which makes it quite convenient to go to central but still around 20-30 mins away by bus. Staff is friendly and overall quite enjoyed our stay though!
