The hotel doesn’t advertise that the heating and cooling for each room is controlled centrally - the rooms can’t set their own temperature. I’m used to sleep closer to 20 C and the room was getting hotter by the minute when I set temperature at 20. When contacting the reception, I was told that the hotel has a dated central system and the rooms can’t set their own temperature. This is absurd! I’m here for a few nights and booked this weeks ago - there’s no resent from the reception or even the duty manager on not informing the guests and if this is ok with them. It’s not cheap and definitely not worth the price per night paid for it. The advise from reception and duty manager was to open the balcony door to cool the room. They provided a fan which was supposed to help with the room temperature? I had to sleep all night with the room door open - which is neither safe nor comfortable - as the temperature outside dropped to less than 10 early morning hours. I had a terrible sleep - the one reason I’d book a hotel is for a good sleep wasn’t met with. My worst stay with IHG and I’ve lodged a complaint with IHG customer service team. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone traveling for work or pleasure.

Disappointing Experience – Not Up to IHG Standards As an IHG member for the past 11 years, I can confidently say this was my most disappointing stay within the IHG group. I booked what was supposed to be one of their best rooms for $352 per night, only to be placed on the first floor in a room that felt more like a dated motel. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the first night was so cold I couldn’t sleep. After raising the issue, the staff provided a portable heater and an extra blanket for the night after, which helped, but this should not have been necessary at this price point. While the room did include some other amenities like an iron, scale, and coffee machine, it lacked basic items such as a shower cap, which I had to call and request. The continental breakfast offered as compensation for my dissatisfaction was $27 and felt very basic—not worth the price. Another inconvenience was having to carry my luggage up two sets of stairs. While the receptionist kindly helped me during check-in, no assistance was available at check-out, which is not what I expect from an IHG property. The location is good, but be aware that parking is $35 per night and must be booked in advance. Overall, this stay did not meet the standards I’ve come to expect from IHG hotels. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving both the facilities and the guest experience.

I usually prefer staying at IHG hotels and have always had good experiences, but unfortunately this stay has been disappointing from the start.|The front desk staff member, Hemant, didn’t come across as warm or welcoming — his attitude felt off with assertive tone, which is unusual for an IHG property. I had booked a King River View room for 3 nights, expecting a higher floor with a proper river view (as it’s marketed as a premium option, and I paid extra for it). Instead, I was given a room on the 1st floor, which felt like an old motel room, but mouldy, with barely any view. After escalating someone named Harry dismissed saying they are fully booked and later calling back saying that they will try but have to stay there. Firstly the staff needs serious training of how to interact with their guests, cuz never felt this issue at any other IHG hotel.||To add to the disappointment, the room lacks basic amenities like ChromeCast, USB outlets, and even complimentary water bottles, which I would expect as standard.||Not the kind of experience I’ve had with IHG before, and certainly not the enjoyable start I was hoping for.||I have another booking at Crowne plaza Gold Coast in next month for 3 nights and I’m giving serious thought to cancelling that stay.||– Nishant

I booked a last minute stay overnight for myself and my mum. The room I booked was for 2x single bed configuration and I even left a note expressing that I specifically wanted a room with 2 single beds. I was not able to book the parking in advance so I rang the reception who said there was limited parking on site and if the carpark is full, sometimes on the weekend they allow extra space so best to ask reception upon arrival. We arrived for check in and was asked if we wanted to upgrade the room for an extra $60 to a front facing room with a water view. I said I didnt really care as long as there were 2x single beds. However, I was then informed that there were no standard rooms available with 2x single beds but we could upgrade the room to a room with a view. We ended up paying the extra $60 to upgrade the room which still only had one bed. There was also no parking available on site but luckily it was the weekend so street parking was free. Service was ok. Waited quite a long time at the bar to be served and the cocktails were overpriced for what we received. $20 for a cocktail only halfway full was diabolical. Ordered the croquettes which were very dry. The bed was comfortable but only given a thin blanket and no spares which is unusual. The breakfast was great though with the usual assortment of pastries, fruits, toast, cereals etc plus you could choose one hot item off the menu. The elevator has issues. Only one was working and there seemed to be a problem with the door opening again after it closes. The location was great though! Overall a very underwhelming stay, definitely not up to IHG standards and would not recommend staying here.

As long as your expectations are set accordingly (ie not 5 star experience), your experience should be a good one. Good size rooms, decent bathroom, and it has a small gym and outdoor pool and good cupboard space with desired amenities like irons and hangers and robes. Yes I would stay there again.

I'm staying at this hotel every year for 6 weeks or so every time. Great location, clean rooms and awesome staff. The breakfast is always tasty and custom requests are welcome, which is a great plus. I'm particularly happy to easily be helped in French, which a lot of the staff can speak easily. Thanks to all the team for the great time I'm having yearly at your accommodation.

I arrived to the hotel around 10pm in the evening. Check in toook 20 - 30 minutes as there were a number of people waiting to check in, howveer only a single staff member who was checking people in.||Was not recognised as a Platinum member, although did get asked about points of drink voucher once check in was done.||Not very happy with room. No upgrade and on floor 1, to which I recieved no instruction on how to get there, so went to the lift as you would expect only to find myself in a tiny area that contained the guest laundry. Came back down and after getting the staffs attention was pointed to a different place, again with no direction. No life available so had to schlep my bag up the stairs from the foyer, and then up another 2 glights of strairs to reach the foolr where my room was.||Overall extremely poor service all around on this trip, and would probably consider staying elsewhere when I am back in Perth in October.

Yelp
Does not deserve the 1 star.. We only booked in for 1 night for our 25th wedding anniversary. Whilst the room looked nice on entry, we were not impressed for long. I know that tv is not what you pay for in a room but what was advertised (cable/satelight) was so antiquated that we had better options in a low budget hotel in a third world country 25 years ago. An inner city hotel should at least offer the ability to connect to your personal Netflix account or cast from your personal device. TV size was also ridiculous considering current tech costs. Available amenities included an infinity pool. This turns out to be 4 feet deep and 20 foot long puddle. There was zero available shade, explained by a useful sign indicating, that due to high winds, umbrellas are unavailable. There was also no available seating that wasn't broken and unusable (no sign for that). When we arrived at the hotel, we exited the elevator on our floor at approx lunchtime. As we went down the hall we noticed another patron had left their breakfast refuse outside their room for collection. Nothing wrong there, except when we were leaving 4 hours later, the refuse, including food waste, was still sitting there. Finally, when we went to complain about the room with the photo of the spa, instead of trying to do anything at all to appease visibly upset patrons, they rapidly refunded our room cost (3 to 5 days) and bade us leave.

Yelp
I am hesitant to write this as this is Perths best kept secret and I want to secure this place every summer. Having booked 6 nights at the Hyatt Perth, and two nights here at the end of the Hyatt stayy we checked out earlier as this place is half the price and has an amazing infinity pool. The night manager Joseph was amazing as was the check in lady today. So far the place is exceeding expectations. Great rooms, as remember you only sleep in them, walk in showers a big plus as is the good aircon, no 500 + step maze to get to your room like the Hyatt or a pool that is so inpractical in location. It has an amazing terrace cafe/restaurant and I look forward to 6.30am coffees in the open as the Regency club had no balcony at the Hyatt and you feel boxed in in the atrium, they so need an outdoor area like here. I now know whay I am an IHG member and Intercon Ambassador club member. Well down Crowne Plaza you have won us.

Yelp
Quite a nice place here. Stunning views of the swan river. Great location with many restaurants close by. Arena and stadium are close too so that make this a great place to stay. Not too far from the airport. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately you have to valet park as there isn't any other parking available on site. The restaurant does an amazing breakfast and an ok dinner. Rooms are comfortable. One if the best hotel beds I have slept in. The shower is over the bath so can make it harder for average or taller people to shower, my partner isn't talk at all but had to squat to get his head under the shower. The bed, view and breakfast are the winners here

Yelp
Our favourite place to stay in Perth. Terrific location with plenty of open space over the road and a lovely walk along the river beckons. Swimming pool is stunning with sweeping views while lounging around having a few refreshments. Staff are lovely and very friendly. The whole place has a welcoming vibe about it. The breakfasts are a feature not to be missed. Shame they stopped the happy hour though!! Highly recommended.

Yelp
There's a lot to like about this hotel. For a start, the location is marvellous. Situated right on Langley Park on the banks of the Swan River, the outlook from the front rooms is stunning. All these rooms have a balcony that overlooks the river and the vista is 180° - quite marvellous. However, rooms on the higher levels have better views. Inside, rooms are nice, quite spacious, with a good sized bathroom - and decent shelf space, which is rare. There's a very comfortable bed and a very good shower with quality linen. As for the restaurant, Gusti, the room service menu is great and in some ways I found it a bit better than the à la carte menu in the restaurant! The selection suited me much better. I enjoyed several room service meals during my stay. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a broad selection and consistently good quality. In general, the staff are excellent - friendly, very attentive, but thoroughly respectful. Some tips - one section of the hotel is not served by elevators - only stairs, so if you have mobility or accessibility issues, make sure you choose rooms on higher floors. The level 2 courtyard is a mystery - it's just a space, with no seating, shade or even garden area. The Level 3 pool and gym is great and very popular with guests. Overall, this hotel is marvellous - I wouldn't hesitate to return here.
