Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah by IHG

We recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza for 8 nights after touring Oman on an organised trip and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing days on the beach and in the surrounding area. A special thanks to Thuvan from room service who was extremely friendly and attentive. It was a pleasure to find our room beautifully clean every day. Our compliments on the presentation and quality of the buffets at breakfast and in the evening. The choice of salads/starters was amazing and particularly appealing to me as a vegetarian. Service and hospitality were of a high standard. However, we do feel that the pool area would benefit from some improvements and an update. The main swimming pool badly needed repairs and the area around the pool could do with more shade and/or islands with plants.

My stay at Crowne Plaza Hotel Salalah was absolutely outstanding! From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was on another level. A special thank you to Executive Chef Mohamad for the incredible food , every meal was full of flavor and truly memorable. Also, huge appreciation to Reception Manager Fawzi for his warm welcome and exceptional support throughout my stay. The entire team was amazing, and the overall experience was unforgettable. I can’t wait to come back again!

We felt extremely comfortable at the Crowne Plaza. A big thank-you goes to Kabir and Jakir, they prepared our room perfectly every single day. The kitchen crew and the service team never showed how demanding their work really is and pampered the guests daily, always greeting everyone with a smile. The lifeguards at the beach also deserve great praise, as they consistently warned guests about strong currents and rough waves. It is also worth mentioning that the hotel does not offer any animation programmes, allowing guests to fully enjoy the peace and quiet. We can highly recommend this hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hotel where the housekeeper Dhammi truly made a difference in my experience. She was incredibly friendly and attentive, always greeting me with a warm smile. Her attention to detail was impressive; my room was spotless every day, and she went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. What stood out most was her willingness to accommodate special requests without hesitation. It felt like she genuinely cared about making my stay enjoyable. Her positive attitude and dedication to her work greatly enhanced my overall experience at the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially because of the exceptional service provided by their housekeeper. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We liked the hotel, maybe it needs a review as it is quite old but it was all OKand very nice and the position is really good! People who work here are so nice and I have to thank expecially our Anayet who cleaned our room for 10 days .. he was simply the best !!! We loved him! He cared of us all the time and we had everything into the room, even no need to ask .. thank you so much !!! Thanks also for the girl from Philippine of Khareef pub .. she was so nice !!

We spent a lovely five days here. The restaurant overlooked the beautiful private beach. We enjoyed the variety and quality of the breakfast buffet. We dined once at the evening buffet also which was equally delicious. All staff from the driver who picked us up at the airport, reception, the well-being Spa, restaurant, pool and beach staff were very friendly, polite, helpful and were proactive in making sure our stay was very comfortable. A special shout out to housekeeping and in particular Faysal who made sure our room was not only clean and well stocked up but surprised us with the bed makeover with fresh flowers one day, this put a big smile on an old couple, thank you :-)||Reception did not hesitate to change our initial room to a part of the hotel that was more to our liking. It was quiet, very comfortable and spacious, with all the facilities you would expect, with an added bonus of a balcony.

Incredible service by everyone person we encountered - from the cleaners, to the chefs, to the front desk staff, everyone gave exceptional service. Great pools and the beach was within walking distance. Good breakfast selection and the Italian restaurant was really good. However, the building itself is very old and has a really bad damp smell which is why I can't give the hotel a 5 star rating. They need to renovate the hotel as the dampness was very unpleasant at times. Also, there were very little water sport activities available (e.g. jet skis, banana boats etc). If they could add this, this would make the experience even better.

We were here in Crown Plaza Resort for second time. The reason is really simple. The place is amazing full of really kind allways smilling people making best hospitality I’ve ever seen. Thank you, we ale looking forvard to come bavk again… Especially thanks to our room (house) keeper Jamal. What have you conjured up the from towels… We couldn’t imagine… big thank you to all of you staff of the resort. We were feeling like family guests visiting friends…
