Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah by IHG

We recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza for 8 nights after touring Oman on an organised trip and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing days on the beach and in the surrounding area. A special thanks to Thuvan from room service who was extremely friendly and attentive. It was a pleasure to find our room beautifully clean every day. Our compliments on the presentation and quality of the buffets at breakfast and in the evening. The choice of salads/starters was amazing and particularly appealing to me as a vegetarian. Service and hospitality were of a high standard. However, we do feel that the pool area would benefit from some improvements and an update. The main swimming pool badly needed repairs and the area around the pool could do with more shade and/or islands with plants.

One week holiday via Travel agency and we spent quality time in hotel. Staff was really helpful and kind. Food was good (especially during Christmas dinner & brunch). We notice some mold in bathroom in room, water in pool was cold and beach sand near sunbeds could be more cleaner.

We stayed in this hotel when we were in Salalah. And we couldn’t have chosen better. All hotel has everything you need. Friendly staff, amazing location on the beautiful beach with white sand. We got the upgrade room so we enjoyed the three bedroom villa. The amazing breakfast made our start days better. High recommend this hotel.

We had a great stay in Crown Plaza Salalah. Very cosy and welcoming hotel, nothing like the big impersonal resorts. We stayed here for the first time, but definitely not the last time. Located by the beautiful beach, great staff, amazing food experience, beautiful clean venues.. Thank you for a wonderful time!

It was our second experience with this hotel. We love it there. It's just place to enjoy the holiday. Nothing is problem,everyone is always kind and smiling. Big thanks to Jamal for his cleaning. Also in restaurant is everything perfect. Big thanks to Atef, Ali, John and Joseph. And Hans of course for his patience with the kids. It was pleasure to see you all again!

The hotel and location are excellent for trips to the surrounding area. The staff is very nice and helpful in every way. In the morning we watched dolphins after breakfast, amazing. Special thanks to the room service Mr. Sabuj for his wonderful approach and always perfect service.

We stayed for three nights as a couple in December 2025. The property as such had every thing one can expect in Salalah. The drive up the property is littered with fruit stands and hawkers selling really fresh fruit - a huge win. The breakfast was excellent, but the rest of the meals were ok. The staff is very friendly, yet given the hotel is coming up there in its years, it does require some amount of sprucing up to get back to its prime. Beach location and access is great! Can highly recommend it.

We felt extremely comfortable at the Crowne Plaza. A big thank-you goes to Kabir and Jakir, they prepared our room perfectly every single day. The kitchen crew and the service team never showed how demanding their work really is and pampered the guests daily, always greeting everyone with a smile. The lifeguards at the beach also deserve great praise, as they consistently warned guests about strong currents and rough waves. It is also worth mentioning that the hotel does not offer any animation programmes, allowing guests to fully enjoy the peace and quiet. We can highly recommend this hotel.
