The crust was absolutely divine, super flaky and crispy and a tad thicker than your typical patty - and yet, upon biting in, the curry chicken filling was pretty average to me. I see a lot of potential for Pierre and his business and would absolutely pay the $5 premium price for a patty, but everything's got to hit it out the ballpark in flavour, texture etc. if you're gonna charge 60% more than the standard price of a patty. This combined with only being open 4 days a week from 12-5pm and I can see why he had to close his brick and mortar shop. I'd say refine the filling recipe a bit more (the curry chicken was too much of one particular spice IMO), stick to some pop-ups for now and get feedback on the new recipe, then try selling his branded patties to some local restaurants or maybe even a coffee shop, and I could really see his business flourishing. If he has to shrink the patty a bit in order to make the filling better, again I'd be okay with it personally, just at $5 as a consumer I'm expecting WOW WOW WOW on all fronts. Oh, and ditch the gimmicks like pizza patties, ua don't need it - Best of luck!
