One of the highlights of our recent trip to STJ was staying at the Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel! Just a short, very manageable walk from the ferry terminal, the hotel is within walking distance of everything in Cruz Bay. Many of the town’s “hot spots” are within a 10-minute walk.||We were greeted by Denise, the very personable and cheerful owner of the hotel, who showed us to our room. She even carried our bags! LOL The room was nice, compact, and had everything we needed for a few days. The A/C worked great, a BIG deal in the summer!||A small, but well rounded continental breakfast is served downstairs every morning. Good coffee and a selection of healthy small bites to get the day going! The hotel has very nice common areas, and fun to sit and visit with other guests, many of whom were repeat customers. ||It was always nice at the end of a long day to return to our super comfy room. We also met several of the staff, all equally as welcoming and warm. Denise and her staff were all so helpful with suggestions for restaurants, places, activities, any thing you needed. It’s always nice to get a “local’s” advice in such situations!||Our only regret was never getting to meet Denise’s husband (Dave I think). He was always around, fixing things, running errands, etc., we just never bumped into him. We hope to do so on our next stay! We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel! It’s the only placed we’d stay on STJ!

I cannot recommend the Cruz Bay Boutique, Hotel enough! It is walkable to all of the great bars and restaurants, the ferry terminal, and the trailhead to the Solomon and Honeymoon Beach hike. We stayed in the “penthouse” room which offered a spacious bedroom, bath, living area, and full kitchen with refrigerator. It was very clean and the room attendants were amazing! The hotel provided us with fresh drinking water to fill our bottles, free Bags of ice, and coolers and beach chairs to take with us on our adventure! The last day, My Husband lost his wallet on the beach, and when someone returned it, the owner of the hotel was nice enough to mail it back to us in North Carolina. We will never stay anywhere else when we visit St. John! If you are considering this hotel, I highly recommend it!

We had a delightful say at Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel! Everyone on staff was welcoming and helpful and wonderful to talk with. The fact that the boutique is a short walk from the ferry and the town center was convenient! Taxis or rentals to the beaches, restaurants, dive shop, grocery stores, and shopping are easy walks. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. You have everything you need for the beach from towels to chairs and floaties -we would buy food from the store and use their provided coolers to have a picnic at a different beach each day. Some evenings we brought a bottle of wine up to the balcony to enjoy. Our favorite activity (thanks to the suggestion of the staff) was walking the rescue dogs from the Animal Care Center just up the road - at home we walk our dogs twice a day, so it was nice to get ourselves and the rescue dogs out for some exercise. It also encourages others to walk them and/or adopt. When we return to St John, we will stay here again!

Denise and her team are excellent. We arrived and they showed us the lay of the land with multiple recommendations for local restaurants and sites. CBBH also offers beach chairs, floating noodles, and coolers with ice for guests’ daily expeditions. Would definitely return for our next visit to the USVI.

We spent 2 nights here and it was fantastic. Due to a flight delay, we weren't going to arrive there until the second night that we had booked, but I emailed Denise and since she had availability, she was able to move our stay by 1 day. She was so hospitable and so accommodating. Everything about this little gem was perfect: from the walk from the ferry, to the cute veranda, coffee and breakfast each morning, beach gear -chairs and coolers. Denise made sure that you had whatever you needed to have a relaxing vacation. Sure, the rooms were a little smaller but who spends time in their rooms when you are on such a beautiful island. And, if you needed a place to sip your coffee and chat with other guests, there was a sweet balcony with seating and additional seating in the check in nook. When we left after only 2 days, we felt like we were leaving a friend behind. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are in St John.

Love this place. Have stayed here a couple of times and already booked for next year. It is in the heart of CruzBay and an easy walk to wherever you want to go in the city. Very close to the taxis to the beaches. Kept very clean and nice. Will always stay here when visiting the island.

If you’re new to STJ this an option to stay as it in the center of Cruz Bay. Really great dining, bars and shopping are in walking distance. Our room was clean and the staff and owner were helpful and nice. There were some packaged bars/Folgers coffee/ fruit placed on the desk in the morning for light breakfast. They also had wonderful beach chairs, towels and sunscreen readily available.

Yelp
Great location, friendly staff and a comfortable room! I was also very happy they had back up solar and a redundancy generator for the power outages. 10/10 will be back. Thanks from Rex and Brady!

Yelp
You can't beat this convenient location -- a five-minute walk from the ferry, taxi stand, beach, and many local restaurants. Denise is a wonderful, welcoming host and gave great local recommendations. The hotel itself is cute, clean, and has a nice balcony overlooking the street.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful place to stay if you are exploring Saint Johns. The location is an easy walk from the ferry-even with your luggage. The hotel is beautifully kept with lush tropical foliage. Each room is comfortably furnished and unique from the others. The patio gathering location is a little oasis and a great way to pass an evening with other guests. The owners are terrific. Highly recommended!

Yelp
We loved this place! It's centrally located and walking distance to all the beaches and restaurants. Plus they were very accommodating with our rocky schedule. We would definitely stay here again next time we go back. Thanks!!

Yelp
Fantastic location and wonderful hosts. The room is very comfortable, and the location cannot be beaten -- less than 5 minute walk from the Cruz Bay ferry. The morning breakfast is small but helps in getting the day started. Strongly recommended.

Yelp
Beatiful, cozy, clean hotel right in downtown Cruz Bay. Safe and secure. Walking distance to everything downtown. Hosts are wonderful.

Yelp
Had a fabulous time in St John. Dave and Denise from the hotel are really nice people who make you feel wanted and valued. They have expanded the hotel and will soon have additional rooms. Up to 15 I think. Location is ideal right in the heart of Cruz Bay within a short walk to top notch dining and laid back public transportation to St John's beautiful beaches. Highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Paradise.

Yelp
What a wonderful place in the heart of Love City! Denise and David are wonderful hosts who make you feel like family. The outdoor terrace is a wonderful space for pre-dinner cocktails. The rooms are appointed in true St. Johnian style with just what you need and no more. Offering beach chairs and towels, as well as coolers and ice---all you need for your beach adventure!

Yelp
I can't say enough great things about this hotel! The staff is absolutely wonderful and so accommodating. Having breakfast ready for you every morning is an added bonus and chatting with the staff, getting recommendations on local things just added to the experience. the location is PERFECT for all things in Cruz Bay and the rooms are cute and clean. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family and plan to stay again on my next visit to the islands!

Yelp
This is the place to be! We stayed here during the July 4th Carnival so it was kinda loud (although they send you an email about it, if it's carnival week or any event happening around the time of your stay), but Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel is right next to everything! There's a restaurant downstairs, across the street, and the breakfast food is great! It's also close to Mangoose Junction (shopping place that is absolutely beautiful) and it's literally a street from the dock! Not to mention that we were welcomed by Victoria, who was just the friendliest person ever! The bathroom is very clean and the AC works great, the bed is super comfortable too! I recommend this place to anyone who is visiting St. John! The room is very quaint and chic. It's fabulous! STAY HERE! :)

Yelp
Missed the barge back to St. Thomas one night on vacation. We were lucky enough to find this little charm! We called very last minute, also a little lost - and David, one of the owners, helped us navigate our way down to the hotel. There was only one room left - the penthouse apartment, lucky us. Very modern and clean, equipped with a full kitchen, living room, bathroom, and separate bedroom. (Hint: there are board games in the tv drawer thing. We didn't see it until we were leaving) There is a laundry room and breakfast is served in the morning. It's a minute away from the port and down the street from the shops and restaurants in Cruz Bay. There's also a pizzeria and another restaurant downstairs, I believe it was West Indian cuisine. Also parking nearby. Ours was a very short stay but it was very comfortable! Thank you to the owners for being so welcoming! I would love to come back. And not on accident this time! :)

Yelp
The Cruz Bay Boutique hotel is absolutely amazing. Denise, David, Kathy, Oneyda Ada and Melissa are all incredible! They welcomed my family with open arms and a genuine kindness. We stayed here for my wedding and everyone make me feel so special! They have a beautiful patio where you can enjoy your coffee and complimentary breakfast in the morning and the rooms are just gorgeous. Everything is spectacularly clean and decorated so cute and beachy. I will definitely be staying here again. If you are looking for excellent service, a great place to stay and the most kind people you have met then this is the place for you!

Yelp
We had a great stay at Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel (Sun 12/13/15-Thurs 12/17/15). After doing a lot of research both on Yelp and Trip Advisor, it seemed to be the best option for my friend and I for a number of reasons: location, price and service. I'm happy to say that it delivered on all of these and more. Location: the hotel is walking distance from the ferry (yes even with luggage). Not only that but every day we walked to the taxis which are parked outside of the ferry and went off to a new destination. Super convenient. Taxi rides ranged from $5-7 pp to get to the major beaches. The downtown area is also great to walk to dinner/shopping. Because this is where all of the action is. No need to rent a vehicle if you stay here (or if you want to there are rentals on each side of the hotel). Price: There are in season and off season prices which for STJ seemed to be very reasonable compared to other resorts of a similar grade level. Service: Truly outstanding and often the thing that most influences your enjoyment of a vacation. Victoria greeted us and was often at the front desk during our stay. She was enthusiastic about the island and provided outstanding recommendations all of which contributed to our wonderful stay. I saw that she was mentioned in other reviews which makes me happy because she was so sweet and helpful. One day she made us reservation to Extra Virgin Bistro (see that 5 star review) and left a nice handwritten note in my room with all of the details. There are people who go to work and do their jobs and others who go above and beyond. THANK YOU VICTORIA! We also had the pleasure of meeting David the owner and his mom Kathy - both wonderful and welcoming too. On our last day, we left early for a morning swim. When we got back, Kathy had left breakfast/coffee out late for us just in case we wanted something. She was so lovely and sweet. Other details that might be helpful: -The rooms are clean and modestly appointed. I found that I had everything I needed/wanted. The decor is simple and modern. Bed was comfortable. There is an A/C unit and TV in the room. Shower head is nice, shower itself is small (which was fine). There is a mini frig that they stock with bottled water (thank you!). There are beach towels in your room and you're given soap along with a small shampoo and conditioner (no tissues, so you may want to bring your own). There is a supply of sunscreen and bug spray for all guests to use located in a common area ( you may want to buy your own of both so that you're covered while at the beach). Breakfast includes some fresh fruit (apples, bananas), oatmeal, coffee cakes, yogurt, coffee/tea. -WIFI is free The rooms are small and ideal for one person (unless you're coming as a couple) as there's one double bed. I don't recall if two single beds is an option, you'd have to check their website. There is a penthouse option which holds more people. It was nice because my friend and I got our own rooms. There is a rack to hang clothes as well as a small dresser. -Hotel is located on second floor so you will bring your suitcases up (and they will help you with that too). My recommendation is don't bring too much as you don't need much. If there's something you have forgotten, there is a little mini mart store a short walk up the street. Finally another thing I loved about staying here was the story of the owners who married on the island and bought the hotel. I enjoyed supporting a resident rather than a big chain. Long story short, I'm glad we stayed here and appreciate the warm hospitality. STJ is truly a special place with special people.

Yelp
Love this place. The owners are helpful and caring and what they do. My stay was great, room comfortable and the location can't be beat as you can walk to every place in town. And if you need a car there are car rental places on either side. A gem!!!
