"This open-air bar and restaurant is right at the ferry dock inthe heart of Cruz Bay. It'sa great spot to have lunch between island adventures, or just to grab a drink and enjoy some people-watching along the dock. The menu lists barbecue ribs, fish tacos and Caribbean-style roti, as well as a variety of sandwiches and salads."

While visiting St John, I came here for lunch and dinner. That's how good it was. Just really good food in great ambiance. Right?I recommend coming here for dinner So you can watch a beautiful sunset while you eat. Everything we had was great and the service was awesome. Can get a little hot but they have fans to try and make your experience more pleasant.

This is a review for the venue and coffee shop and bar only. We did not eat here! The coffee shop was nice, all the basics plus coffees with Carib flair. Staff in shop and at bar were terrific… friendly, fun, personable and fast! The outdoor bar is nice size and comfortable. Drink was small, but good! Nice outdoor seating area. Little park with local vendors selling souvenirs adjacent to dining area…. Good place to stop for a morning coffee and/or cocktail on St. John!

Really cool little stop while in St. John. Ordered the Asian Tuna Salad for me and Bacon Cheeseburger with fries for my partner. The tuna steak was really delicious, the salad part needed some spunk to it so I requested an extra dressing and the addition of Feta cheese and it made all the difference! Would definitely suggest the salad with the additions. Very generous portion. The burger was also a great portion. It was ordered to be cooked medium and came out more medium well, so suggestion would be a medium rare if you like a more tender burger! Staff was very nice but it was definitely understaffed. We waited 15 minutes after being seated just to be addressed as there was one bartender and only one server noticeable on a Saturday at 4:30. We did see another couple leave that was there prior to us arriving and was waiting to be served also so might just need some fine-tuning as far as having enough staff available. The atmosphere was nice. Restaurant also sells clothing and has a store attached. I would certainly return and possibly try other items off the menu. Enjoyed eating on the patio!

A quaint little place to grab breakfast before hitting the beach. Outdoor tables and chicks to feed. Always quick and a great coffee selection. Ate here two days in a row.

We were three weary travelers from the Upper West Side NYC who landed at Cruz Bay Landing, tired, and hungry. We had outstanding service, fantastic food, and they even made a special meal for our son. You can’t beat this atmosphere, and if you love wild birds, this is your place! The dishes were delicious, and the frozen drinks are so incredible. Hats off to the chef! Wonderful service, friendly staff, and we will definitely go back again. Thank you so much!

Google
We’ve been here a couple of times for breakfast. Always good food and the service is fantastic. Great atmosphere, especially at the bar or tables on the patio.

I didn’t personally care for the fish, but the portions were good. There was live music. My wife would want me to be kind, so Ill say that the live music inspired me to pursue my dreams. If that person was being paid money to do, um, That… then how can I ever tell myself that Im not good enough to do something. It’s possible it transcended sound and impacted my taste buds, and if so, my apologies to the chef for the 4-stars instead of 5.

Ate here after we got off the ferry from St Thomas and again on the way back to the ferry. The food and drinks were beautiful and delicious! Perfect way to begin and end our island trip!

Yelp
September 7, 2024 and we went for lunch. We just missed breakfast, and will return for that. The Mahi (ordered grilled)sandwich was delicious! Today, the lunch special was a pulled pork quesadilla. Amazingly good. do not drop any food or the hens and their chicks will be all over you!

Yelp
Great breakfast!! I had the breakfast bowl with eggs over easy and iced green tea. Loved it. The bowl had onions, peppers, mushrooms, eggs, and potatoes with salsa and guacamole. Would definitely return for same breakfast. Service was very good and the ambiance was perfection -- picture a 3-sided open-air restaurant with ceiling fans and a constant beautiful breeze. Definitely earning their 5-star rating.

Yelp
The food was ok, and our waitress was nice. But we tried coming into the restaurant with our bathing suit top and we were turned away until we covered up. All that was showing was stomach on an island with beaches all around. I don't understand how that's indecent, especially considering the heat and humidity and the fact that there isn't AC at the restaurant. Make sure you wear a long sleeve rash guard if you're planning on eating here and suffering through the heat. Sucks that the hostess put such a sour start to this experience.

Yelp
Lovely outside patio restaurant. Breakfast was tasty and island priced - not exuberant. We all liked the avocado toast and BLTs. Service was friendly but food coming out was on island time.

Yelp
This is way underrated place. Been there for breakfast and dinner. Nice outdoor space, not as fancy as some, but totally fine. Started with some drinks, all good and very prompt. Five us shared apps, blackened tuna lettuce wrap (the tuna most places on St John is so fresh), Brussels sprouts and cauliflower bites. I'm not a Brussels sprout guy, but everyone else loved them, and Greek salad. Bonus it comes with slice lamb. Lucky for me the Brussels sptrout people don't like the lamb, quite good. Instead of the Greek salad dressing I used the ginger dressing from the tuna. For dinner we had 2 roti dishes, vegan, but still delicious and quite hardy. We had 2 mahi-mahi grilled tacos. Comes with 3 which was soooo much and finally the fish and chips. Looked good, but I was too full to try. Good service, very good food and very plentiful. We tend to over order, so share I walked to town this morning and went there for breakfast. Had the BLT, love there thick cut bacon

Yelp
I have been here a couple of times to give them the benefit of the doubt. 1st time the waitress brought my eggs out raw. Then had the nerve to say she thought that was how I wanted them. It literally looked like they were thrown on the stove for 20 seconds and then thrown in a plate. The pancakes were raw in the middle. 2nd time tried again, same issue. 3rd times not a charm. I asked for a glass. The glass was brought to me and I told the OWNER it was dirty. I watched him walk to the bar and use his hands to rub the debris off the glass. The only dish I've had that was decent is the lobster and shrimp. After the owners blatant disrespect, I will never order anything from there again. Not even the lobster. Who knows if they spit shine the grill.

Yelp
Our first breakfast in the Virgin Islands was awesome! We were stoked to try their menu, especially their Benedicts. I went for the Alaskan Bennie -- smoked salmon, capers and red onions, -- and it was fresh and delicious! Martin devoured the Crab Cake Bennie. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was lively. Plus, they had their own bar to kick off our vacation right! If you're in the area, don't miss this spot. Beautiful views, amazing food, and fun company!

Yelp
I wasn't able to dine in, but we were able to get carry out and they were very accommodating. The wings were perfect casual snack but I know there are a lot more options on the menu. Will definitely be back to try.

Yelp
When you get off the ferry at Cruz Bay, the first restaurant you see is Cruz Bay Landing. It's fun to explore all the wonderful eateries across the island, but don't overlook this place! Good food, good service, and reasonable pricing. For lots of people, it's their go-to restaurant for a meal while waiting for the ferry. But it's also a great breakfast and lunch place, prior to a day on the island. In our case, we went twice during our 2023-24 holiday trip. While waiting for the VITRAN bus to Salt Pond (only $1!), we had a wonderful breakfast at Cruz Bay Landing. I had the veggie omelet, my wife had one of her favorites, huevos rancheros. Both were delicious, filling, and served hot. All the vegetable components were fresh. It's also worth noting that the coffee was great. We're not coffee snobs, but we do enjoy a good mug (or 2, or 3) of coffee, and CBL's coffee was wonderful. Our second visit was also a breakfast as waited for the ferry to STT. The restaurant seemed packed, but they found us a table. We split a breakfast bowl. Again, outstanding. I've had lunch there on previous trips, but the breakfasts are so darn good that I tend to think of it as a breakfast place, and the dinner menu looks inviting, as well. We'll have to give it a try on our next trip.

Yelp
What a gem. Our hotel Concierge recommended this restaurant where the local goes for us to try. So we took a taxi to drop us off at the Cruz Town center. We walked a block and we arrived at the Cruz Bay Landing restaurant. It's all patio dining. It's very casual. The waiter was very good and attentive. We ordered a Jerk Chicken breast and a Coconut shrimp and crab cake. Both dishes were very well seasoned and portion is just right. The jerk chicken and the plantains were really good.. We sat at our table and watch people getting off the ferry with their luggage and watch the world go b. It's a nice place for causal dinner. Highly recommend it.

Yelp
very good breakfast , great service nice atmosphere right across from ferry landing . very tasty

Yelp
This is a great place to eat on your way to or from the ferry. They have outdoor seating and have plenty of room to sit your luggage while you eat. We ate lunch here at the start of our vacation and breakfast as we were about to depart the island. Our breakfast was definitely 5 stars. My eggs Benedict was excellent. The lox bagel, eggs, potatoes, cinnamon pancakes were all tasty. I must say, I am a bit of a coffee snob, and their plain coffee is one of the best I've had. Nicely rich and bold. Our lunch experience was good, but maybe not as good as breakfast. I got the blue cheese salad which was good, but I believe it was served with feta cheese. Hmm. The pulled pork was pretty good as was the gyro, which was a little light on the meat. Nonetheless, lunch wasn't bad, it just wasn't as good as their breakfast.

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast after arriving in St John. Right in the downtown, so parking was limited and we parked in a "leave your keys" lot for $5. We each had the eggs Benedict and pineapple juice. Very good, would definitely return.

R O.

Yelp
We got breakfast here one morning and it was delicious. We had to wait about 10 minutes to get a table. We ordered Cinnamon swirl pancakes and veggie omelette with sourdough along with a cold matcha latte. It was on point. Would recommend stopping here.

Adam G.

Yelp
The food was incredible and the service was great! Sarah was an attentive server and met all of our dining expectations.

Yelp
The place we chose to eat at once getting off the ferry at St John. I got the coconut shrimp wrap and my husband got the coconut shrimp with crab cakes. My wrap has far too much lettuce snd tomatoes were so chunky and I had to ask for extra sauce.

Yelp
If you are hungry when the St Thomas-St John Ferry docks Just Take about 50 steps straight ahead from the pier and you'll be treated to a great outdoor dining experience at Cruz Bay Landing. My wife and I had breakfast before boarding the 10am ferry to St Thomas. My wife had the crab cake Benny ( Benedict) which has perfectly poached eggs ( not runny or too firm) and the crunchy toasted English muffins were filled with ample delicious crab meat and tasty hollandaise sauce. I had the very light and fluffy cinnamon pancakes which were delectable. The bar was open for business so my better half had a "Pain Killer" a local triple rum concoction that tastes sweet and yummy and packs a delayed punch. Hey, It's 5 o'clock Somewhere! The service staff was prompt and courteous. We ll be back for the amazing pancakes!

Yelp
My chaplain took me here for dinner and I had a great time. The food's super solid and there's live music that included a family with their two kids! It was pretty fun. Service was super friendly also though I'm sure it was because my chaplain's a rock star here on St. John-they totally knew who he was.

Yelp
I should of know better, but we stopped and ate here anyways. The service was a little slow but not too bad. My food came out about 15 minutes after everyone else's, but after trying it I wish it would of never came out. Fish Tacos - I ate a taco and left the other 2 on the plate. My son tried it and said "that's terrible". I can't put my finger on it but there was a taste that was just off. The chips and pineapple salsa where ok. Lemonade - Very weak lemon flavor. Probably watered down Minute Maid if I had to guess Fried Plantains - These we're good. Jerk Chicken - Did not taste marinated. Tasted like a chicken breast with a crappy jerk seasoning on it halfway through cooking. My son took a few bites and didn't want it. My other son tried it and said it was gross too. Btw they are not very picky. BBQ Mac n Cheese - Oldest son said it was pretty good. The serving size was huge. He ate most of it. No real complaints here. Next time I'm in ST John's, I'll try another spot... any other spot! Too much hood food to settle.

Yelp
Best eggs Benedict ever! Service with a smile, too! I walk down into town with Festivus almost everyday. Twice a week I treat myself!
google avatar

Emily K.

Yelp
The service was prompt for our quick stop while waiting to catch the ferry back to STT. The menu is pretty basic and the food got the job done but wasn't anything amazing. The location is convenient to walking around and exploring Cruz Bay. The painkiller was strong! Although we didn't get anything from the coffee / ice cream shop next door, it looked really good!

Darren L.

Yelp
The jerk chicken with rice & plantains was delicious!! Great selection of entrees to choose from! The outdoor dining was nice as well. The service was average at best, but adequate.
google avatar

Holland W.

Yelp
We ate here several times during our vacation at St. John. The food and service were always wonderful. The location is also very central and easy to find. My only complaint is that there were goldfish instead of croutons in the salad - which was cute, but became soggy immediately once I put the dressing on. It made my salad less enjoyable. Otherwise, we loved it. We will definitely return next time we are in St. John!
google avatar

Liliana G.

Yelp
We went to St.John to spend the day and we had brunch at this spot. The food was very fresh, delicious and the drinks were strong. The bartender was very attentive. I had the coconut shrimp wrap, it was soooo good. I am craving it right now. The shrimp was amazing, that sauce they toss the shrimp over it is one of the most rich flavors I've ever had. I asked for a side of it so I could dip my wrap in. My husband had the mahi toco and he loved it as well.

Yelp
Went there for breakfast and it was great awesome breakfast tacos and different flavored coffee. The waitress was from the south like me which was awesome as well and she was so nice. Atmosphere was very chill. Cool place over all!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Everything on this island is expensive, but you get a lot for what you pay for at Cruz Bay Landing. Service was some of the best on the island. I would come back here to eat every other night! Highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful brunch before heading out to the beach for the day. Friendly service and outdoor seating. The food was awesome.

Laura G.

Yelp
been on the island for about 10 days and have come here almost every morning- a staple for our yearly trip. service is amazing and food is consistent. especially love the blonde waitress with the southern accent, she's amazing. the cinnamon pancakes are to DIE FOR, a taste of heaven on a plate. avocado toast and bagel/lox super good to, big portions so come hungry!

Trista M.

Yelp
We tried several restaurants on the island and this one was definitely the best!! The wait staff was amazing, the ambiance was wonderful and the food was excellent, so excellent that we ate here five times. Our favorites were the Landing Shrimp, the Conch Fritters and definitely the Painkiller drinks. We would highly recommend eating here!!

Robert K.

Yelp
Lunch was quick and good. Shrimp was fresh and portion was just right. Not overly large like some. Cole was flat but server quickly fixed it. Good service in open atmosphere

Yelp
Just a 10 minute ferry ride from St Thomas is Cruz Bay St Johns (both US Virgin Islands so no passport folks!) The harbor at St Thomas, Cruz Bay is very quaint with gift shops, coffee shops and an incredible restaurant straight across from the harbor. Many "taxis" van jeeps to take you around the island for $8 USD. I went to Trunks Beach!!! Amazing, a must see if on St Johns! Only $8 USD each way! Enjoy.

Yelp
A great gourmet / foodie breakfast! Family loved the Huevos Rancheros, Cinnamon Swirl pancakes and full coffee bar. Beautiful patio location on the city circle very near the NPS docks. Friendly and energetic servers - great meal and a great visit!

Yelp
Best prime rib, Caribbean lobster, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, avocado toast, etc.... all the food is delicious. Portions are shareable size and the service is great! I've had breakfast and dinner there and was not disappointed. Location is great and the outdoor dining is breezy and welcoming. I'll be back.

Yelp
Late review from Labor Day weekend. We found this place during our ferry ride from St Thomas. Glad we did. I believe we were able to seat ourselves. We ordered the jerk mahi mahi sandwich and another type of sandwich but I can't remember now. Both were very good. I also loved the waffle fries. Friendly staff and the food was served prompt enough for the amount of people being served at that time. Good bar-type food.
google avatar

Tiffany Y.

Yelp
Cruz Bay is a great and convenient stop for food either when you first arrive to St. John via the ferry, or as you're waiting for the ferry to leave. It's very conveniently located, they have a decent menu, and the staff is kind and helpful. Great view and atmosphere.
google avatar

Yelp
A charismatic, local eatery that provides good music, great service, and delicious eats! We came here on day one of our trip to St John & it was a great choice, indeed. Our waiter, Bailey (I believe) was totally awesome. He was attentive and so helpful, and he had insightful recommendations based on what we were looking to eat. For appetizer we got the Crispy Calamari. The crunch on the calamari was delightful & the dipping sauce, Yum! For dinner, we got Baja Tacos with Mahi Mahi in them, as well as Shrimp and Chips. Both were flavorful, and cooked so well. The shrimp were a great size and super meaty, covered in a delicious batter. The Mahi was tender and so delicious, accompanied by guac, cabbage, and a mango pico on the side. My brother in law got the ribs and they were fall off the bone, tender & delicious. This was a delicious first meal on the island!
google avatar

Lori T.

Yelp
This is a tough review. Mostly because I like this place. The menu is good, the atmosphere is relaxed and the location can't be beat. The problem I have is that the bartenders are extremely rude. I even heard folks apologizing for having to order a drink. I understand working as a bartender in a tourist resort, as I was A bartender in a tourist resort for 14 years. Yes it is challenging, but this doesn't mean it gives you the right to be down right rude. Get out of public relations if you can't handle it, there are many others who can. I have given this place several tries in hopes I caught someone on a bad day. But it seems everyday is a bad day for the bartenders at the bad landing!

Sandi S.

Yelp
My daughter and I ate at Cruz Bay Landing every morning while we were in St John. The atmosphere and the food are nothing short of outstanding! Holly and Marjorie felt like family by the end of the week. We will definitely be back!!

Tammy O.

Yelp
Great food excellent view fun time with a live band we really enjoy our stay at conch vista St Johns

Yelp
So we did not eat here, but it smelled SO good coming right off the ferry! Their breakfast menu looked so good, we were a little disappointed we had already eaten. Seating was actually pretty quick even though they seemed busy. Tables seemed fairly far apart too, and everyone had their masks on. Service was super quick and attentive. Also, very clean bathrooms. We ended up getting a couple dirty chai tea lattes and HOLY COW. I was obsessed. I could have had them make a pitcher, one of the best chais I've ever had. I'm thinking about it even now. We didn't get the chance to go back and eat, which I was sad about. Because the place seemed SO GREAT! Highly recommend you try it out.

Yelp
Right in the heart of Cruz Bay. Friendly service. Good selection. Smoothie was great! I loved the berry smoothie. Tasted fresh and tart.

Yelp
We went to St John's for the day from St Thomas and were looking for something to hold us over that also had some gluten-free options. While it didn't blow us away, we enjoyed Cruz Bay Landing. I had the shrimp and chips, which was yummy. I also enjoyed the summer mule I had. We appreciated that they were willing to make grilled fish instead of fried fish for my sister who cannot eat gluten. Our waitress was nice and helped us find things to do on the island., and overall I would probably go back again.
google avatar

Art C.

Yelp
It's not even a trip if we don't hit up at least one coffee shop. Luckily we chose this one... and their cappuccino was very good. We now have our coffee place in St. John.
google avatar

Sarai B.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! The cold brew is brewed for 10 hours. It's delicious! Medium roast. I had the iced chai tea latte, sweet and yummy. All of our entrees were delicious and tasted fresh. No complaints! Will come back!

Ale N.

Yelp
Delicious food and great atmosphere! We went a couple times during our stay and highly recommend to anyone visiting the island!

Yelp
Fun and shaded breakfasts place to kick start your day in St. John, right off the ferry dock. Delicious breakfast sandwiches, omelets, and cold brew coffee.

Yelp
after a long vacation of fresh seafood & delicious steaks- i was ready for a hearty breakfast on my last morning. These pancakes did not disappoint. I wish i could have finished them but they were very filling.

Yelp
Love this place in Cruz Bay. Has a dinner and two breakfasts here on our trip. The food is great as is the service. Watch the ferry boats come and go from this great spot. No reservations. First come first serve.

Yelp
This restaurant had almost 5 star reviews and I had to figure out why... So we came here for lunch instead of breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised by the vast menu. It had sandwiches, salads, desserts, signature dishes, etc. I decided to get The blackened mahi-mahi sandwich with waffle fries. I love the fries. Usually waffle fries aren't that good at Chick-fil-A for me. I really would vote on another fry for them so when the menu stated that it was waffle fries, I was a bit concerned. However, these fries are crispy and tasty, nothing like the waffle fries I despise. The sandwich was good. My mom had the ribs and she really enjoyed them. We had daiquiris and those were very tasty as well. I really enjoyed this restaurant And I would definitely come back to visit again. Next time I will be sure to try the breakfast as I am equally intrigued to find out more about this special place.
