Absolutely beautiful food been here many times from childhood to adulthood. I have also stayed here, my kids have come here for food and loved it, The food is absolutely 5 star and the service and staff. Opens very early and welcomes all and caters for all occasions Thanks again for a beautiful bite to eat and coffee this morning look forward to coming back again ♡

I stayed here for business and had a fabulous experience. My room came with breakfast and I have to say, it is the best breakfast I’ve had. The scrambled eggs and hash browns were phenomenal and they have the most delicious custard style rhubarb yogurt. I was so impressed with the staff at the hotel, the service, and the entire experience was just delightful. I can’t wait to return.

Exceptional place to stay. Staff are great and a special mention to the lady in the breakfast room who looks after everyone so well, Fantastic at her job. Rooms are perfect, breakfast cooked to order was fabulous and check in /out hassel free. Signs by it's always a busy spot not surprising

We were docked at Carrick on Shannon for the night while on a Shannon boat cruise. With a dog in tow we were limited with dog friendly options for dinner but the staff in Cryan's Hotel couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating for our family of 4 plus dog! The food was also delicious and the staff were all very friendly and attentive. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Went to the carvery. Food was very average. Prices displayed not was charged, not good value for money. Staff more concerned with rushing food out rather than good service. Was just ok.

Had dinner here with my family on the 3/10/25. food all round was an insult to the pallet.3bowls of alleged carbonara ,not eaten.plain pasta in creamy water, with lumps of chicken&fatty bacon thrown in&soggy garlic bread also thrown in2the food.over17euro a portion&2were childrens.burnt gougons&chips.the other meals were slopped on2the plates. We ordered2drinks&it took a half hour2bring them over eventhough the bar was meters away.the food tasted nothing better than barfood leftovers from an ALaCarte menu.this place was recommened2us but the person clearly has no tastebuds.the star is for the birthday wish little as it was.so disapointed theres not much else to say.i certainly wont be going back to this establishment with my family or recommending2anyone i know home or abroad..hospitality in Ireland has gone down the pan....

Excellent food, Excellent service. This place was recommended by everyone i spoke with in town. The pepper gravy was very good on the steak sandwich. I did not stay at the hotel, I ate lunch here.

We stayed in a different hotel nearby and ate in Cryan’s as the service and menu was more appealing to us.||The staff were friendly, helpful and service was good. ||We would definitely stay here the next time.||The only disappointment was the selection of beers at the bar. Wine selection was nice though.

Yelp
I travel to Leitrim and Carrick-on-Shannon often and had an unsettling experience there. Went in for a couple of pints saint patrick's weekend. Set quietly listening to the music minding my own affairs. There was group across the way getting larger and larger to eventually the stools got close together with mine. Did not speak to them for quite a while. Then as the group became larger again, they were almost right next to me. We chatted for a little bit and I picked up to get another beer and asked if anybody wanted one. A few said yes, and I took the orders and went to the bar. I had no intention of hanging out with them, but just wanted to be friendly.as a visiting American. When I walked up to the service window of the bar the older bar tender asked if the order Is the for the group in back.i responded yes. He said they are leaving and you're not getting anything.. He asked if I was coming back later in the evening and I answered yes truthfully. He then started getting animated and loud which I  had trouble hearing because of the music and the noise. He was getting and was quite rude and very disrespectful. I said nothing while he was going on. He then dismissed me turned his back to me and waited on someone else ,leaving me standing, still trying to figure out what was going on. And unable to figure out what his problem was. I do not know what his issue was with the people at the next table or me for that matter. However, I was not involved in their behavior or conversation. He had every right to refuse service to them And when he informed me of that, I responded with OK. And respected his decision. What he did not have the right to do was address me in a disrespectful manner like some kind of riffraff. After his rude treatment I simply picked up my coat and left the premises not to return. Still don't know what his issue is. The buyer beware. I hope this was an isolated incident. There are plenty of pubs in Carrick who want your business and will treat you right.

Yelp
Here's the thing, there is nothing wrong with a 2-star pub in Ireland, sometimes those are the best. If you are looking for a traditional, old authentic Irish pub, this is the place to go. We had a great time drinking, it was cozy, and the bartender was great. It is nothing fancy or elegant but the Guinness is good and the bathrooms are clean! If you were looking for a 5-star new and modern place to go, this is not the place for you. Looking to soak up Irish tradition and culture, then this is where you need to be!

Yelp
This is the place to come if you are hungry and want to bulk up on carbs.. The Sunday roast was great, loads of meat, veg, and several helpings of potatoes cooked every way it is possible to cook spuds. Terrific value, and the waiting staff weren't joking when we were asked if we wanted any more.. Brilliant value at a little over a tenner each..

Yelp
Walked in here yesterday and got charged €4 for a double espresso. What a rip off! Pull the other one Cryans.
