The long drive is so worth it. Super friendly staff, complete amenities, instagramable view. There's not much guests at the time of our visit so our experience was really relaxing. We also had a great view of the stars since light pollution here is not a problem. Gonna camp here again for sure.

The beach was fantastic with all the trees but dangerous to swim with the strong waves. The food and beverage were average. The changing rooms and restrooms were dismal.

Nice resort, its giving the vibe esp the trees. Its very clean and refreshing but the waves here are strong.. the waves r not friendly for kids, seniors and those who cant swim.

The place was great in the evening, but the rooms were not as good. The toilets are not maintained properly and are too small. The shower room is not good, it does not have hang racks for your clothes and towels. The food is okay, but some don't have any taste.

Crystal Beach Resort Zambales is the best, 100% pet-friendly beach resort near Metro Manila we have been to. I say 100% pet-friendly because you can bring as many pets you have, no additional charge; unlike in other resorts that only allow a certain number of pets and charge a pet fee per pet per night of stay. The staff are friendly (both to humans & pets) and accommodating, too. They assist you with your concerns with a smile on their faces. Smooth check-in and checkout, too. The food at the resort’s restaurant is superb. Everything is delicious and served hot. The restaurant is al fresco so you can also bring your pets with you. They offer holiday dinner, too. We had the Noche Buena by the Beach and it was fun. There was a live band performance. The food and drinks are overflowing. The beach itself is gray-black sand, with fine-enough sand that it feels good to walk barefoot. They also offer surfing lessons. I suggest that you avoid using white or light colored swimwear when swimming at the beach. There are plenty of accommodations to choose from: from camping sites to surf shacks to family villas, all are comfortable and clean accommodations. We booked a couple room; very clean and spacious, and affordable, too! The resort has no swimming pool, but it doesn’t need one. The place is very peaceful and relaxing. You can just sit by the beach or on a swing and fall asleep. We only have good things to say about the resort. We are so happy and satisfied with our stay that we will definitely go back. This is now our go-to resort for the holidays, especially for us with six pets always in tow.

You will understand why this place is always fully booked when you get there. The place is really good.

To be clear, we didn’t stay in any of their rooms, we used their camping site instead. Crystal Beach is an ideal spot for first-time campers. Positives: -peaceful atmosphere -safe with extensive CCTV coverage -clean shared bathrooms and toilets -well shaded, thanks to the pine trees! -available charging posts Enjoy swimming at the beach and there are showers readily accessible If you haven’t fully committed to camping yet, you can rent a tent (?fee), a fan for 300 PHP and another 300 PHP for an extension cord. No food? No worries, a nearby restaurant would solve hunger pangs. Payables: 1,000 per head and 500 per car. Despite the expenses, Crystal Beach assures a secure and enjoyable camping experience. Note: make sure to clean up after a meal as there are stray dogs.

This is an awesome place for a quick get away from Metro Manila, very accessible via commute. We took a bus and a tricycle going here. Very easy to find as well, the tricycle drivers know where to take you when you mention the resort’s name. The staff were very friendly and thorough with the check in. The place is also very nice and quiet. I love taking walks and this place is perfect long walks by the beach at either morning or sunset. The room is also nice for its price. The shared bathrooms are very clean and well equipped. The food were also good, the free breakfast was nice. There was a bonfire at night and it was cool hanging out at the beach by the fire. Will come here again for a quick get away.

Yelp
Relaxing, hidden, and far away from the hustle and bustle of Manila. Despite the distance, this resort was worth the 3.5 hour drive from Metro Manila. Crystal Beach is in the town of San Narciso in the Province of Zambales. The resort features air-conditioned rooms, cottages, and beachside camping tents. They also have WiFi in the main area. There are a few bon fire pits and grilling stations for anyone to use. We opted for a day entrance just to experience the food, beach huts, and the sand. The admission fee, parking, and cost of food were very reasonable. The long journey from Manila definitely made us hungry. We decided to try out their restaurant located in the main common area. Seating was easy and we also chose the table closest to the fan for comfort. We ordered sisig, tuna salpicao, halo-halo, rice, and sinigang na hipon. The sisig has a nice mix of crunch with a citrus-pepper marinade. The tuna salpicao was tender and flavorful. The shrimp sinigang, which is a true Filipino favorite, was sour and savory. Halo-halo came last as a dessert. The bowl was filled with various sweet toppings and a generous scoop of ube ice cream. Post lunch coma started to kick-in and we decided to relax in one of the many beachside huts. Beach chairs were available along with the perfect view of the mountains and blue waters. The beach was almost empty and quiet. There are available surfboard rentals and surfing lessons for anyone seeking to ride the small waves. Showers are available near the common area. I would recommend this resort to anyone seeking a tranquil escape.

Yelp
Very disappointed on this beach..first the sand of the beach is not that clean as you see on their website 2nd price of shake..120 pesos for melon and 100 pesos to mango!!! Any differnce? Cabin itself no restroom, lights need update, outlet for 15 person capacity have 3 electric fan!!! Food is so pricey..restroom is to far for the cabin ..not recommend this beach for my friend

Yelp
Stop by for drink at the bar. They wanted to charge us 500.00 just entered to go to the bar. Very unsatisfactory, I wonder why they are still in business with a business model like that.

Yelp
We went there on a Saturday, there was nowhere to park, lines were long and useless as they picked and chose whom to help next. When we finally got helped there were no more day huts available and you still had to pay to get in. Go to the smaller no name places right next door and you can go to Crystal Beach for surfing lessons like Prince JB resort which is just right next door.

Yelp
Crystal Beach is 3-4 hours away from Manila. It's a remote place, far from the city, with no industrial noises to distract you from your well deserved vacation. The sands are smooth and the water is clear and not too cold. You can even opt to rent surfboards and get some reasonably priced beginner lessons! Most people who were in the area seemed to be either older families (with no kids) or couples looking to get some peace and quiet, so I wouldn't recommend bringing the especially young kids along for the ride. There are plenty of recreational activities to do, such as sunset/sunrise gazing (the latter is much more intimate), island tours, camping, and kayaking. The staff were polite and professional enough, if not exactly chipper. My mom's also a really forgetful person (much to our dismay in resorts) but the staff consistently and patiently reminded her of forgotten bags and even gadgets. I can't wait for summer to come by again so I can go back.

Yelp
Huhu, best beach getaway I've had in a while! I've just come back from a 3-day Independence Day weekend spent at this resort, and wow, less than 24 hours later I miss it already! I feel like it had the perfect laidback beach vibe, having all the necessary comforts (so you can, you know, survive), but is not so "developed" that it takes away from the main attraction of the place -- the beach. It's so well-maintained, with lots of artsy wooden signs and other quirky stuff scattered throughout the property. And it's a really BIG property. Very photogenic; plenty of gorgeous trees strategically placed all over the area. You have air-conditioned rooms designed as tree houses & nipa huts all over, but there's also a camping site where you can really rough it with basic tents. You can bring your own raw food and grill at the many grilling stations. There are also water pumps all over. They've got common bathrooms too with decent showers & toilets. If you want a bit of an experience, you can try their "glamping" accommodations where you get a large classy tent complete with mattresses, pillows, blankets, towels & toiletries, light, fan, trash can, end table, etc. It's literally like a hotel room brought outdoors! It's pretty perfect. There's a good restaurant at the main dining hall as well, but you can get snacky food over at the sari-sari store style satellite resto. They serve all the same light meals. The water here is clean and calm, and you can go surfing during the surf season (the -ber months) when the waves come! They even give lessons here so you can properly try it yourself. There's a surf shack by the beach where you can get beers (both local & foreign) and some excellent fruit shakes (OH EM, BEST MANGO SHAKE EVER). At night, they set up a bonfire on the beach where you can hang around and lie on the (provided) banigs/cushions and stare at the gorgeous stars in the night sky. On our last night, some travelling musicians put on an impromptu set at the bar and got everyone jamming. Super nice. Sigh. At just 4 hours from Manila, this seems like a super ideal beach resort to me! And it's not terribly expensive either! You get good service & accommodations, good food and facilities, classy but still "beach-pure" surroundings! I think I have a new go-to place!

Yelp
Let's admit it: not all beaches are made equal. Especially if we're talking about beaches that fall within a few hours outside Manila. With places like Batangas and Subic getting more and more crowded thanks to the growing number of destination weekenders from the Metro, I've found it increasingly difficult to book a nearby, and well-maintained beach resort with less than a month's notice. This was especially the case when some of my friends and I decided to travel to San Narciso, Zambales for a 2-day vacation. With the place being the primary alternative to La Union and Baler as a surfing destination, it was so hard to book a room in the area with so many surfers and self-proclaimed explorers as completion. Enter: tent life at Crystal Beach. When my fellow mermaid-friend Nica told me that this place was magical, I should have known that she was right! Aside from having the most number of WELL-KEPT rooms along the San Narciso shoreline, Crystal beach also offers tent accommodations for those of us who just can't beat other vacationers to regular reservations. And honestly it's not such a bad departure from the regular comfort of an air-con. YOU GEGT TO SLEEP ON THE BEACH! And that's always impetus enough for me to check a resort out. What's more is that the place is absolutely beautiful. Their soft bed of sand stretches into such a sprawling space. There's so much of the beach to enjoy! If you're a taong-dagat like me and my friends, you're going to love it here. Aside from lounging around, which is great in itself, you can also take surf lessons with their legit surfing teachers, play beach volleyball, gather and cook around a campfire, and check out the cuisine at their in-house restaurant. The food is delicious by the way, and I enjoyed it second only to the beach itself. I for one know that this will not be my last Crystal Beach summer.
