I have very mixed feelings regarding my recent stay, but mostly good, I believe.
Location: Good — looks safe, quite close to the airport, shops, and restaurants. There’s an ATM next door and a basic grocery shop.
Service: People at the reception are nice, and the restaurant staff are super nice. It was the first hotel where I was asked if I wanted coffee, and it was made and brought to me. Plus, people were smiling and joking — especially the black-haired lady and her colleague with slightly Asian features. The food itself wasn’t very varied, but it was good and more or less in line with expectations.
Rooms: And here I have the biggest issues. First, the positives:
+ Rooms are spacious (I believe around 22 m²).
+ Bathrooms and shower cabins are spacious too.
+ I really loved the design — you have a long wall of windows, several meters of glass. That was really cool.
Now the negatives:
- The smell of the cleaned room reminded me of trains — that typical chemical smell.
- There was a bad smell coming from the toilet, I guess from the sewage system. Like sulfur. It lasted through the whole stay; the bathroom ventilation helped a bit.
- The AC didn’t manage well in high temperatures. It was blowing colder air, but the temperature barely decreased, if at all.
- The hotel was refurbished a few years ago, but in many areas still reminds me of the 2000s.
Summary: I believe that due to its design, this hotel has a lot of potential, but it feels a bit neglected. However, the staff are definitely some of the best I’ve encountered in any hotel so far.
