This was by far the best place we stayed in Belize. It was sooooo nice. Perfectly in the jungle forest …. Filled with birds and flowers everywhere. Every morning I was getting up and I was talking my coffee with the birds right in front of me. ( they put fruits ). We talked with the owner so many times. We learned a lot. It’s a family owned resort. It is gorgeous. They really did it like a magical place. I had hummingbirds in my bathroom windows every morning. I loved it. The sound of their wings. Wowowow. We had breakfast one morning and it was really good. Everyone is extremely nice and welcoming. Our room was filled with flowers to welcome us in our room. You really have to try this wonderful place. They even make sure every day that our activities were still being possible as we had a lot of rain during our stay. They made the whole experience a 153727% better. We miss it already. Thank you soooooo much for being soooooo wonderful with us. We deeply appreciate it.

This jungle lodge is Belizean owned by the kindest family! Each room has AC now and the breakfasts and dinners were delicious. The wifi and LTE connection was strong. We booked our tours via the resort and every tour guide we had was very knowledgeable in both mayan history, birds and general wildlife/fauna. Shout-out to Eric (Caracol) and Emilio (ATM Cave). Thank you Tut family for having us, we had a great time!

We stayed at Crystal Paradise as part of the 6 day Central Belize and Cayes bird watching trip booked through Paradise Birding Expeditions (I'll post that review separately.). I highly recommend both! Our room was part of a duplex, but no one was in the other side, so it was very private. There was a queen bed and a single in the room. For cooling, there was a mini-split and a ceiling fan, which kept the room very comfortable. As part of our excursion, meals were included. The kitchen staff did an amazing job! One of our family members had some technical food restrictions and the chef satisfied all of them seamlessly. ||They had an honor system bar which worked great. The overall vibe was relaxed yet attentive. The open air dining area was delightful. There was a porch swing where we could sit and watch the many birds at the feeders that the kitchen kept full with fresh fruit. The first morning, we saw tanagers, aracani, hummingbirds, orioles just at the feeder. Then our guide took us on a walk around the property and I think it was over 30 species he was able to locate!||Some other groups who were staying there left for dinner elsewhere, but we were without cars and I'm so glad! The food was delicious and we didn't have to have that omnipresent dilemma about where to eat. ||Crystal Paradise is family owned and operated. We enjoyed visiting with Alba, Caroline, and the patriarch, Victor. Everyone made us feel welcome and special.

My husband and I stayed her for three nights and really enjoyed ourselves! The following are the pros and cons:||PROS: The place is beautiful! The landscaping is wonderful and the sleeping accommodations are clean and well maintained (good mattress too!). We ate dinner there one night and breakfast each morning. The food was quite good. Each morning, they feed the birds and a great variety of them come to the feeders. It's a great way to start your day! We took a guided canoe trip early one morning and loved the tranquility as well as the birds we saw along the way. Due to having somewhat limited mobility, they went above and beyond to accommodate me in getting me to the river and back. They go above and beyond for their guests. Though you're in the jungle, it's only a short drive to San Ignacio - a perfect combo. The delicious Cam's Bakery Restaurant is only three minutes down the street. Make sure you eat there one night. It's delish!||CON'S: I hate to even list any cons, but there are a couple things that I feel should be mentioned. For someone who has some mobility issues, the very low toilets were tough on this gal's knees. Prior to getting the new higher toilets in our house, we had the lower ones and I think these are even lower than those. There were some steps that didn't offer any type of hand railing. Again, tough for those that need or prefer something to hold onto. I want to be clear that this is not just an issue with this property. Belize is not too ADA aware. It wasn't the only place that I found these issues, but I wanted to bring it to the attention to those who might be considering the facility and want this information. The last con was that you might wake up to no water to shower or flush the toilet and might have to wait an hour or so for it to re-establish itself. We encountered this one of the four mornings we were there. It seems to only be a morning thing. ||With this all said, the Tutt family takes great pride in their resort and ensuring that everyone has the best stay possible. We loved the tranquility of the resort and the warmth shown by the staff.

The room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were great for hanging out after a bird watching adventure. The food was simple, family style and delicious! Jeronie helped set us up with the greatest bird guide, Abi, and we had three great days of bird watching with him and a stop at Caracol Mayan Ruins. He was also able to tell us about the ruins and Mayan culture. Jeronie also made arrangements for us to go to Guatemala to visit Tikal and do some bird watching there. Everything went smoothly and all our drivers and guides were fabulous. He made our trip to Cayo very memorable.

We were treated like family from the moment we arrived. The hospitality was warm and genuine, making us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious, the environment peaceful and beautifully maintained, and everything was spotless. Our kids had an amazing time with activities that were both fun and educational. We truly appreciated the eco-friendly approach—it’s clear they care about both guests and the planet. This was a perfect place to enjoy quality family time, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended for families seeking a meaningful and relaxing experience!

We did not stay at the resort but we contacted them for the kayaking and canoeing guided tour. It was a last minute decision and they responded quickly. Our guide Everald was great! He was very knowledgeable, funny, and patient. Crystal Paradise seems to have great business ethics and they care about the well being of their customers. Would highly recommend!

We stayed at Crystal Paradise for five nights in May and couldn't have had a better experience. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. The food was very tasty and the menus nicely varied. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the birds, as well as daily bird walks and excursions to Mayan ruins, local markets, a nearby butterfly farm and more. We can't wait to return.
