The hotel is well located within walking distance of all the main attractions in this lovely city. It’s also easy to get to from the airport - Arlanda Express to Stockholm Central Station and then one stop on the metro. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is fine. I don’t understand other guests complaints on this point. On a couple of mornings, there was a waffle iron and batter, which I’ve never seen in a hotel before. My only quibble: No croissants. I had a poky single room away from the street, so I didn't experience the noise at night that other guests have complained about. The bed was comfortable, but there was no safe and wardrobe space was almost non-existent. The room had a small kettle with instant coffee, tea bags, etc. but housekeeping was haphazard about replenishing these. The bathroom was small too. The shower stall was fine, but the rest of the space, with the tiny wash basin and the toilet, was cramped. The wash basin was also too low on the wall. (I’m a tall guy.) My biggest problem with this hotel was the room cleaning schedule. Twice I arrived back at the hotel between 15:00 and 16:00 hours, tired from walking all day, wanting a shower and a nap, and my room hadn’t been cleaned yet. The housekeeping staff were polite but unhelpful about this. On one day my room wasn’t cleaned until 17:00 hours! For this reason alone, I wouldn’t stay at the Crystal Plaza Hotel again. Next time I visit Stockholm, I will pay more for a better hotel.

Small rooms with basic amenities and no ac. There was a giant window and plug in fan. No ac is a common thing in Sweden. The included breakfast, price and location make up for the downsides. You’re in walking distance of almost every major sight and museum in Stockholm. Across the street is a beautiful park with the National Library and an Omnipollo beer garden. What’s not to love.

The hotel was lovely. Really well located and it had everything we needed. We went as a family of four (two rooms) and spent four nights exploring the city over the marathon weekend. Breakfast was good, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. The street was a bit noisy if we left the window open at night, but it is a main street in a capital city, so that's expected. The hotel was expensive, but not out of keeping with a very expensive city. We needed to be central as I was running the marathon and this was a really good option as a base. 10 minute walk from the ferries and a metro station and about 15 minutes to walk to the central station.

Reception smelt like public toilet with pine cleaner , totally overpowering. |Black mould in shower|Room in unbearably hot with no AC, small extra fan that was noisy, no instructio s how to operator ceiling fan|Poor qualify fire door to room, no seal around letting light in at night , surely not fire standard ?as spöke would enter |Breakfast poor in a cold room

Very well located in one of the most famous suburbs in Stockholm. However, the amenities are not that nice, compared with Swedish/Scandinavian standards. They can improve on this.

Room was too hot, no window, no airconditioning. First times flushing the toilet the water only rose. Didn't felt hotel standard at all. Location and breakfast was ok.

Racism at this hotel — and no accountability from staff. A few years ago, my husband (then boyfriend) and I stayed here during a trip from Los Angeles to my hometown, Stockholm. While going to grab breakfast at the hotel restaurant, my husband — a professional athlete who is incredibly mindful of how he carries himself — was confronted by another guest who had apparently been living at the hotel long-term. The guest began harassing my husband for wearing a mask (this was during COVID), and when my husband calmly explained he was doing it to stay safe, the man became aggressive. When I stepped in to de-escalate, the guest turned to me and said, “Why are you defending your Black boyfriend?” Hotel staff witnessed the incident but did nothing. No one intervened, no one checked on us, and no one apologized — until I personally asked them to. Even then, the apology felt performative and dismissive. My husband chose not to speak publicly about this at the time, even though he has a HUGE social media platform, because he didn’t want to escalate things. But as we plan another visit to Stockholm — staying elsewhere, of course — I realize how wrong it felt to walk away without saying anything. I hope the hotel has since trained their staff to act when racism is happening in plain sight.

Yelp
Ostermalm is a good base for exploring the city if you want to stay in the heart of the party. This neighborhood is for the rich and beautiful. (not me! Lol) It's a shopper's paradise by day and a clubber's dream by night. So, you know what that means? Bring earplugs! Although I'll have to say that staying on the 3rd floor with our room facing the street, the sound proofing in the room was definitely better than our hotel at the train station in Copenhagen. Did you know that its cheaper to stay in certain areas of Stockholm over the weekend than on weekdays?! We wouldn't have known this if not for my friend's travel agent. Our room rate from Friday to Sunday came to an average of $160/night, which includes a delicious breakfast buffet! In the neighborhood of Stureplan, this is unreal. The metro is a 7 min walk away, Humlegarden park is directly across the street and one of the world's best indoor markets, Ostermalm Saluhall is nearby too. Will definitely stay here again next time.

Yelp
My husband & I stayed there 9 years ago. It was clean (all relative) and easy to get to, the staff was nice. The buffet breakfast was a little sad...but the price per night was what we were looking for... The one that that I didn't really like was that we can hear loud drunks/music out on the street all night! Not sure if I would stay there again...

Yelp
Short. stay away. Boring breakfast, filthy carpets & very unfriendly staff. Long. Arriving I received no help or offer thereof from receptionist and had to drag bags & stroller down the steps while carrying a small child in to the minimal elevator. The manager was present during check in but didn't even bother to great/look at me. Fast forward to check out, this time manager is alone in lobby, I great him & hand over the key which he collects from desk without a single word in response. So when I ask to storage my suitcase & get told he didn't like my tone, I kind of began to take it personal. Maybe they had a bad day or maybe they just didn't like colored people? Also, room decor is dated (90's fancy on a budget), ice cold (drafty windows), the carpet had plenty of stains, and there was just only one tiny pillow per bed?! The breakfast buffet was uninspired, industrial sliced cheese, no fresh fruit, juice or anything. Only positive was the cleaning lady, she was very friendly and offered to help when she saw me struggle with child & luggage. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. I have traveled on five continents & never felt looked down at like I experienced here. Also Hotel Drottning Kristina down the street, yes it more expensive (& less appropriate for small kids) but they have amazing breakfast, clean carpets, beautiful decor and most importantly friendly & helpful staff.

Yelp
Clean room and a very helpful staff. Street noise does come in pretty Loud. This is really close to everything which can have some advantages but the clubs nearby will likely not let you sleep until about 03:00. The breakfast is the strong point for this hotel as it offers something for everyone. I would stay here again even with the noise just because the location was near parks, transportation, and several great restaurants.

Yelp
Meh. It was ok. Nothing special. I mean if you get the normal room you don't have AC or more than 2cm of space for walking but other than that meh. Oh wait you can also smell other people using the bathroom from your room
