Crystalbrook Bailey

We enjoyed our stay. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment with a large balcony. It was spacious, modern, and very clean. There was also a small washer and dryer, as well as a drying rack, in the apartment which was a huge plus. Breakfast was good with a large selection of choices - the egg station was great. The location can't be beat, about one block from the esplanade and within walking distance of many restaurants. Would recommend.

A modern hotel in a very good location in Cairns: nowhere is more than a 5 minute walk. The lobby is striking in its layout and the design is pretty much echoed throughout. The exterior of the building has an odd pea green metallic cladding: actually very useful as a readily recognisable landmark. Room stylish and comfortable.

Great standard of Rooms again. This time we booked a King Deluxe I thoroughly enjoyed the rest. We had breakfast this time and while there were a variety of options for everyone. The hot food was not very hot. Great facilities and super friendly staff. We look forward to staying again.

We stayed at Crystalbrook Bailey for one night after spending a few nights at Crystalbrook Riley. Bailey is a great option if you’re looking for something a bit more affordable but still clean, modern, and well-located. Our room had city and mountain views — no ocean, but you still feel connected to the energy of the city. The room was slightly smaller than our Riley room but very comfortable and well-designed. Staff were super friendly, and breakfast was included in our rate. The restaurant where breakfast is served turns into a steakhouse in the evening — we only tried the morning meal, which was fresh and satisfying. Bailey feels a little more tucked away (two streets away only) from the tourist-heavy Esplanade area, so it’s quieter and a great base if you want to explore a different side of Cairns - and find restaurants which are slightly less touristy. Highly recommend for a relaxing, stylish stay without the higher price tag. If I had to do it again, I would just choose Bailey for all days of my stay - but I care less about the pools and more about being out and about in and around Cairns and by the waterfront.

The two bedroom apartments in the residences were thoughtfully designed with blockout blinds, heaps of room to unpack for your stay, well appointed kitchen and bathrooms and even washing powder and a clothes horse in the in room laundry. Rooms in the residences side of the building also have access to the hotel side, including the pool and Pachamama for some lovely Mexican food. Free BBQs outside in the pool area were great for a casual dinner while the kids swam. Walking distance to the Esplanade and stacks of eateries. Good rate for parking in the secure garage. Great focus on sustainability - if that's your thing. Cool water bottle refill station outside reception, wooden room keys, pump bottles of toiletries in showers which smell divine etc Breakfast buffet at CC's is exceptional! Well worth adding this to your booking especially if you have hungry kids! We filled up daily and grabbed a piece of fresh fruit for the road while exploring. And if you love honey...check out the fresh honeycomb! The chefs are excellent, check them out at the omelette station! 10/10 excellent stay with kids and absolutely lovely staff.

Had a good, relaxing and calm stay for 8 days. Location was very good. Had many restaurants, souvenir shops and night markets within 10-min walk. There's the beach viewing points nearby as well. The hotel is well-maintained, and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was also very good. Overall a good experience.

Overall, the Crystalbrook Riley was a very comfortable, clean and peaceful stay. Located centrally to most of the Cairns beach/shopping/markets area. We managed to walk to most of our activities due to the close proximity of the hotel. Staff were friendly and room service was great, always on time. Rooms were clean and had every amenity you could need. Recommend to all for a reasonably priced up-market hotel. Buffet breakfast was on the pricey side, however a nice selection of dishes. I do have three negative areas for improvement/concern: 1. The Gym: if you are someone looking for a hotel with a good gym to maintain your fitness, you’ll be quite unhappy to know that this particular hotel gym was incredibly small, lacked variety of weight training equipment and didn’t have free weights. Only had a push and a pull machine, and one functioning treadmill. 2. Pool was incredibly small compared to the Crystalbrook Riley (sister hotel nearby). 3. Laundry charges were INSANE (picture attached) like it’s actually criminal how much they charged for laundry. It was cheaper just to buy new clothes. Otherwise though, I enjoyed my stay here in the Crystalbrook Bailey. Nice work !

Great hotel! Extremely professional service and buffet breakfast outstanding. Never stayed before as I found the exterior of the building pretty unattractive, however it’s a beautiful hotel and will now be my ‘go to’ accommodation in Cairns
