Crystalbrook Byron (Byron Bay, New South Wales) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Ten minutes outside the city of Byron Bay, on an estate spanning 45 acres of subtropical rainforest, is Crystalbrook Byron, a luxury boutique resort whose sustainability measures are as well developed as its leisure offerings. Its 92 suites are as tranquil as can be, and stylish at the same time, soft and neutral in organic materials with judicious color accents. And while the Eléme Spa is for many guests the main event, the restaurants and bars are no less impressive, from the verdant and aptly named Forest to the al fresco Verandah and the rather self-explanatory Blue Pool Bar." - Tablet Hotels

Enjoyed a few relaxing days at Crystalbrook Byron Bay for my wife's birthday. The room and facilities were spacious and clean. The staff were all so friendly and accommodated any of our requests. I would highly recommend anyone with a baby to stay as there are plenty of options to keep occupied whilst having some downtime.

Such an idyllic setting surrounded by bushland and a 15 minute stroll straight to the beach. The treetop units are above the others. But you feel secluded and private. The rooms are spacious and the bath tub and shower huge. So many things to do with an infinity pool that is warm all year round too. Spa Sauna. Yoga. Restaurants Staff are so friendly and helpful and we were greeted with a glass of bubbles at reception. I paid for breakfast etc and platter as part of the room and we were not disappointed. I would recommend this as a retreat where you can come and fully relax around nature.

Another beautiful stay - my 4th visit here and my favourite resort in Australia. Whenever you need a space to escape, restore and nourish the mind, body and soul, this is the place for you. Immersed in the rainforest and you can hear the waves of the ocean in the background and the sounds of nature as you wake in the morning and see the sunrise. A big shout out to Hugh, who goes above and beyond the lead an incredible team who are clearly devoted to exceptional customer service and delivering the best experiences for guests. I received a complimentary upgrade and a special welcome gift - the kinds of touches that matter, and that will make me a repeat guest for many years to come. The suites are lovely, and the resort pool is the best you will find. The rainforest setting is also unique and a real point of difference - you get to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the town centre in the day and then retreat to your sanctuary in the afternoon for a cocktail by the pool with a book and the option of cooking your own food too if you like with a fully self contained kitchen. Otherwise Forest does exquisite locally focused food with talented and innovative chefs. Thank you for a wonderful stay - just what I needed and I appreciate you all. Highly recommend as a luxury 5 star resort in every sense of the word.

Our recent experience at Crystal Brook Byron was totally amazing and very relaxing. The property is set at a very high standard, with maintenance a primary focus. Our room (Cypress) was fully equipped and beautifully presented throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed our time each afternoon relaxing by the pool and in the sauna. I must mention our massages at the Day Spa, our treatments were as good as you’d expect anywhere - thanks to the very talented Annie for her skills and lovely relaxed professionalism.🥂

We had a wonderful stay for two nights at Crystalbrook Byron. Upon arrival the staff on reception were very helpful and welcoming explaining the amenities within the hotel but information on how to get into the town.||The apartment (Treetops Retreat Suite) was lovely overlooking the rainforest in a very calming peaceful setting. It was a sizeable apartment with a relaxing balcony area at the front and back with seating. It was all very clean apart from unfortunately, we found that the floors in the main area of the apartment were dirty including finding sand meaning we had to wear our shoes indoors (it was not a big enough problem to complain about). Within the small kitchenette there was a small washer dryer which we made use of so that was helpful.||Crystalbrook offered a shuttle bus service into Byron Bay which went at various times during the day, however there was not a return bus past 5.45pm so we got an uber back. It would have been helpful to have a bus return time a bit later in the evening for after dinner but ubers are very reasonable and only a 10 minute journey back from town. ||There was also a beautiful outdoor pool with sun loungers and a gym to make use of.||We enjoyed our stay in Byron Bay and despite the issue raised above, we would still give 5 stars. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My wife, daughter and I stayed at the Crystalbrook Byron for two nights last week as part of our first visit to Australia. Our first thoughts to ourselves that we shared with each other was that it felt like we had walked into a "White Lotus" resort, in a really good way!||The front staff at check-in and departure were very friendly and helpful. Our room in the more family friendly side within the rainforest was quite unique in its construction, with enclosed decks at both ends of the unit, and with a kitchenette and washer/dryer unit - very helpful and useful! ||We walked the rainforest paths of the resort, one area was closed off due to damage from winter storms. It took us fifteen minutes to walk east off the property to the ocean and experience the view of the Pacific Ocean.||The pool was excellent, as were the beds around it, very family friendly. We had two evening meals and a breakfast in the Forest restaurant, all of which were absolutely amazing and reasonably priced given the level of the facilities.||Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to enjoy the Eleme Spa. Perhaps next time!

Firstly if you’re thinking about staying in a Luxury resort in Byron, this place isn’t a 5 star resort. 4 at best…on a good day when the staff are in a good mood… The hotel appears on the outside to be very promising but it’s as if the accountants have been given just too much leeway vs the people wanting to create a genuine luxury hotel. The rooms are…fine…when you don’t look too closely, at the fixtures and fittings not fitting properly, occasionally a cobweb…panels on the shower walls looking like out of dorm room, not a purported luxury hotel. Staff wooden, not rude, just perfunctory. No effort beyond the minimum. Breakfast…highly average. Not worth the charges… I regret not spending the extra and staying at Elements of Byron. A thoroughly underwhelming experience for the money.

Overall we enjoyed our one night stay but we feel the rooms are getting a little dated and in need of renovations or a freshen up. When entering the room there was a strong musty/mouldy smell (could be just this room or ones of lower levels??). Once opening up the front and rear doors to get some airflow it was ok. If we were staying any longer we would have asked to move. The main grounds were very nice and well kept. The included breakfast in the restaurant was very good even though there was a long wait to be seated and then for the food to arrive. We would consider staying again if in the area but only if we could get it for a better price as we feel it was expensive for the quality of the room. On a positive note, the staff were amazing and could not fault their services during our interactions.
