Crystalbrook Byron (Byron Bay, New South Wales) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Ten minutes outside the city of Byron Bay, on an estate spanning 45 acres of subtropical rainforest, is Crystalbrook Byron, a luxury boutique resort whose sustainability measures are as well developed as its leisure offerings. Its 92 suites are as tranquil as can be, and stylish at the same time, soft and neutral in organic materials with judicious color accents. And while the Eléme Spa is for many guests the main event, the restaurants and bars are no less impressive, from the verdant and aptly named Forest to the al fresco Verandah and the rather self-explanatory Blue Pool Bar." - Tablet Hotels

The minute you step through the doors of Crystalbrook, you know you are in for a fantastic stay. It’s a beautiful hotel with tasteful decor and furnishings, and the terrace with its view of the lovely pool and surrounding forest is an idyllic place to relax. We were very happy with our suite which was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, including a bath and a comfortable bed. (The washing machine was useful after a couple of weeks of travelling.) The location deep in the rainforest with a continual symphony of birdsong is wonderful. On our way to breakfast we saw a shy swamp wallaby and a kookaburra! We ate breakfast and dinner twice at the hotel; lovely food with an emphasis on local, fresh produce. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We took the free shuttle transfer into Byron Bay one day which worked well. We felt we’d had a truly luxurious and special experience staying here and would love to return.

I stayed 3 nights at the Crystalbrook in Byron Bay with my daughter in March. We had an exceptional time. The room was amazing and very spacious including a kitchen with cooktop, microwave, washer/dryer. Fridge/freezer. Living room had a very comfortable sectional with great views overlooking the rainforest and a large TV. The bedroom had a very comfortable king size bed, a good size closet, and a lovely bathroom with a tub and shower. I took advantage of the tub using some of the spa’s bath treats. We weren’t able to use the spa because it was fully booked. This was a last-minute trip so make sure when you book you call the Spa to book your time. They’re very busy - other guests seemed very pleased with the services. We look forward to returning and booking spa time.. They did refer us over to elements spa, which is an oceanfront property. We had a lovely service there. We used the Crystalbrook pool in sauna, (they also have an infrared sauna, which will use next time). Both were great. The rainforest was lovely and we did some forest bathing as we walked around the property. The beach is only 10 minutes away and we were able to enjoy some time there. The food at the forest restaurant was absolutely amazing. we had breakfast each day and dinner one night. - service was fantastic. Food was beyond fresh and amazing. I usually don’t expect much from hotel food but this exceeded expectations!. Their cocktails are also lovely. Highly recommend a stay here whether it’s a romantic visit, mother daughter visit or other family visit or with friends truly exceptional property..

We stayed 3 nights in a rainforest suite, in the Everglades block. The room was large and nicely decorated with a great bathroom, it’s so nice to get a decent bath tub in a hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The only downside is the room was quite near the road so there was quite a bit of traffic noise. The accommodation nearest to the beach is probably quieter.|We ate both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The dinner choices are limited but the food is tasty and nicely presented. We were on some sort of breakfast package for $30 each, which seemed over complicated - you can have some things off the menu but several come at extra cost and you only get one standard hot drink included. Having an extra coffee carries a charge of around $6, which just seems unnecessary to me. We noticed that lots of people went into Byron for breakfast which is a much better idea, as there are loads of fabulous little coffee shops everywhere.|The hotel run a complimentary bus into Byron which we used on both days. You need to pre-book yourself onto it, but it’s worth doing and it runs fairly promptly. |Lot’s of people have commented on the staff. We mostly found them pleasant and the ones in the restaurant in the evening were particularly good, better than the ones at breakfast.|Overall I recommend this hotel and would stay here if I came to the area again.

All the staff were so helpful and friendly. The accommodation was so beautiful and clean and serene in the rainforest. Loved the pool and sauna (even in winter). Plus having the spa treatment was such a relaxing experience. Will definitely be coming back!

Hotel was excellent, room was very luxurious, and we loved the rainforest setting. The food at the Forest restaurant was delicious, and the daily breakfast package was great value for money. All the staff were lovely, and nothing was too much trouble. Location was supurb and loved going for runs on the local beach. I really liked the option to forfeit having our room cleaned and receive $20 off the final bill and the Crowd Discount also was a great perk. Would 100% return, and also explore the other Crystalbrook properties.

Lovely hotel. Was given this as an upgrade as our initial hotel was unavailable! . Hotel rooms are great. They contain everything you need and more. Washer/dryer was extremely useful seeing that we have been travelling around. Only one minor niggle was that it was a bit damp in the room. Unfortunately that’s the rainforest for you. Apparently the A/C contained a heating element in it (which I could not work out how to do) . Amenities are great and board walks to lagoon and beach are a must. We even came across a marsh wallaby. The hotel is about 5k from the town centre. An Uber costs about 16 dollars or you can catch the shuttle bus that runs three or four times a day. Breakfast was lovely only spoilt by the man with the leaf blower clearing the paths

Lovely warm welcome and advice on parking as near to our villa as possible to minimise my walking. Villa had single beds but they were comfortable and nice pillows. It was well appointed and very roomy. Lovely shower and bathroom facilities.|The restaurant whilst pricey was a little slow with the service however the food was lovely.

We recently stayed at Crystalbrook in the adults only section. Apartments were quiet and comfortable with good airflow through secure balconies at either end of the apartment. One could fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. Staff were professional and attentive. The restaurant was nice. The only challenging part of the stay was difficult parking and a slight walk to the room (only challenging with luggage). Would recommend this resort, particularly the adults only section, if looking for a quiet stay.
