Amazing hotel, very modern and trendy. Rooms are good size, with lots of light and great views. Lobby feels very welcoming Good selection of dining options nearby Great location Pool is huge and absolutely stunning. Service was a bit lacking friendliness and welcoming feeling. We dealt with 4 various ladies at reception on different occasions and each time had the same feeling that we kind of bothering them . Especially on check in ... very unusual for Australia, where check it always is a nice experience. Felt a bit like being judged...not sure why. Waiters at the Paper Crane restaurant at breakfast also were a bit grumpy looking. But overall I would definitely recommend this hotel, maybe service was like that due to very busy weekend, or just unlucky. The actual hotel is fantastic, so we can just limit our service enquiries next time

We stayed at this property for 7 nights and chose it because it was just a little bit out of town, and therefore a little bit quieter. It is a beautiful property, well appointed, well designed swimming pools (even if a bit on the cold side). The staff were friendly and helpful. There are a few things that stopped it from being excellent! When you offer daily housekeeping, you have the expectation that the room will be serviced daily, and that a reasonable time of the day! During our day we only got 2 daily services, one quick tidy and the rest of the time we just asked for towels! This is because by the time they got to our room we had returned from our day activity and all we wanted to do was relax in our room. Even when we rang reception and asked is the room going to be serviced as we wanted to relax , they said yes someone will be there “soon”… we waited for over an hour and no one turned up! So we went to the hallway, asked housekeeping for some towels… and then put our do not disturb on the door! I don’t think I’ve ever been to a five star property where housekeeping is still servicing rooms at 4pm. The only other negative is that the fridge in the room is very small with no freezer for ice. Being in Cairns where you want to enjoy a cold drink, you really need ice - calling down for a bucket of ice was hit or miss… we tried to time our calls outside of busy times - some days they turned up, and some days they didn’t! The room was well designed, bed was very comfortable, loved they had two types of shower options - either rain shower or handheld! A nice selection of teas were provided, along with a coffee machine. Overall, our stay was very good - we would stay there again!

We stayed at The Riley last month for our anniversary and had the most fabulous staycation! From the moment we arrived, the staff were so warm and welcoming, and they really went above and beyond with some super thoughtful little touches to make our anniversary extra special. The hotel itself is stunning. We stayed in a panoramic room which was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to a view like that, right from the bed, was unforgettable. The bathroom was another highlight, featuring its own incredible outlook (with the option of electric curtains for privacy). We also loved the fantastic location, perfect for enjoying Cairns, and the fact that they offer Crystalbrook discounts across their three local hotels bars and restaurants was a great bonus. The mini bar was well-stocked, and everything about the room felt luxurious yet comfortable. Highly recommend The Riley if you’re after a romantic getaway, a special occasion, or just a little slice of paradise in Cairns. We’ll definitely be back!

Staff were all great throughout the hotel. I would like to especially mention Sam who went above and beyond for us nothing was ever a hassle and she always had a smile. Our room was amazing and everything was very relaxed. We will definitely be back.

Love this resort and great location. Pool area is beautiful but unfortunately people are greedy and reserve pool chairs leaving no where to sit for people that are actually swimming. Staff can’t seem to manage the situation effectively- please you need a permanent pool attendant that gives out towels and allocates chairs to those that want to use them then and there to prevent the annoying inconsiderate selfish people that put their sunglasses on the chairs and then come back three hours later. It’s unfortunate it has to be this way but people can’t manage themselves the hotel staff need to step up and do it to make a good and fair experience for all. I don’t want to pay nearly 1k a night to lay on the ground next to a pool.

Highly recommended. Awesome pool. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms are nice and well presented. We booked a pool view room and ended up with more ocean view than pool 😍 Great place for our 10 year anniversary which was acknowledged with a couple of free drinks from the hotel. Have stayed at a few Crystalbrooks and recommend them.

We had the most amazing time staying here! From the moment we entered, the German lady on the desk was super welcoming giving us lots of tips for our stay in Cairns. We really appreciate the slightly later check out before we flew out too. Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. View and pool just exceptional! Dinner at Paper crane was 10/10 too. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would highly recommend!

Stay here, you will not regret it. From start to finish, its been a luxurious stay. The welcome team at the concierge, the stunning rooms, pool and facilities are definitely 5 star. The staff are very welcoming and go the extra mile. Shout out to Pietro who made the stay more welcoming with his hospitality, making sure our drinks were topped up throughout the day. I will definitely be coming back.

Other hotels in Cairns can be run down but the Crystalbrook Riley is cool and glistening. Location is central but not honky tonk and restaurant is cool. But best trait is the staff-- helped set up trips, dinners and more. . . AND refused to accept tips. A gem with a great staff.

Absolutely adore this hotel! Rooms are roomy and bright. Bathroom however is pretty dim. There is no magnifying mirror. Staff is very friendly and has great recommendations for food and adventures.
