"Things then came up for me while I was there. Like, I got in touch with the owner of the Luis Barragán house north of the city, Cuadra San Cristobal. It used to be a museum and now it's a private residence, but I connected with the owner and was invited for a tour. My jaw dropped at this house. I asked to do a founder shoot and a campaign shoot there and she said yes, so we shot our next product drop: our first-ever perfume."

We went as part of the traveling beetle guided tour. It was so lovely to visit and learn about this work of Luis Barragan. The son of the original owners still live there, so the tour felt very personal. It was nice not only seeing the architecture but also the gardens and interact with the horses on the property. Highly recommend visiting and arranging the visit in advance with the traveling beetle.

Must email to get an appointment. It is 300 pesos per person and you get a tour of the outside of the house. You can wander and take pictures after the tour. It's about 45 minutes ride from city center within a gated community.

Well worth the 30 minute drive from Condesa:) Beautiful example of Barragán in Mexico. There was a Scully exhibit when we went. Such a beautiful space for an exhibition!

Very much enjoyed our tour of Cuadra San Cristobal. Just an amazing property and crazy how large it is and yet you're right in a neighborhood. Highly recommend and if you can arrange so your guide takes you early it was wonderful as we were the only ones there (and a few groups showed up as we were departing).

If you are an architect, you can't miss this Barragán work. It's beautiful and the conservation is great.

Cuadra San Cristobal is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit and a must do when visiting Mexico City. The grounds are pristine and offer many nooks and crannies to sit and reflect. The tour guide works on the grounds and knows it inside and out, answering questions along the way. We had a magical experience during our visit and even got to visit with a baby donkey.
