This is a really neat spot. Worth making a trip out for, check out the other local brewery while you're in town.
The booze: Fascinating assortment of gins, including one using mole spices. The whisky is excellent as well. Get the tasting and tour, it's worthwhile. Very experiential, with incredible staff.
The drinks: Mixed drinks are decidedly sweet which is probably to the local taste. Not for me. I'd like to see them highlight their products with much simpler, dry affairs, because even their dryest drinks are candy sweet. Ask for a martini or old fashioned rather than ordering from the list.
Food: Fun charcuterie. Pretty and thoughtful without a lot of filler. Not a fan of these green olives, but they're pretty standard in this part of Mexico. Would love some artisenal olives. They have a variety of meats and cheese boards available. Unfortunately nothing was really identified, but it was all good.
Fried stuff: Onion rings taste like bagged, not great. These should be house made. The jalapeño poppers are a bit odd as well the bacon is flabby instead of crispy, and thr cheese is a bit gritty. Could use a rework but not terrible.
Still 5 stars, because you should be here for what they're making, and the distilled goods are too notch. Don't forget to take a bottle home. The mixed drinks don't really do their products justice. For food, stick with the meats and cheeses.
