As a young footballer from Senegal who came to St. Petersburg for training camps after moving from London, I pay close attention to accommodation conditions, as comfort and atmosphere play a crucial role in athletic preparation. Cuba Hostel on Nevsky Prospekt exceeded my expectations, offering not only a convenient stay but also a welcoming environment that helped me rest and adapt to the new city. The hostel’s location is one of its biggest advantages—its proximity to central landmarks and public transport made it easy to commute to training sessions and explore St. Petersburg’s cultural heritage in my free time. The clean and cozy rooms, equipped with all necessary amenities, provided a sense of home, which is especially important after intense physical exertion. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always ready to assist with any requests, making my stay in an unfamiliar city much smoother. Moreover, the hostel’s vibrant and international atmosphere allowed me to meet travelers from different countries, exchange experiences, and broaden my perspective. Cuba Hostel became more than just a place to sleep—it was a space where I felt part of a global community while staying focused on my athletic goals. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a warm atmosphere in the heart of St. Petersburg.

Nice hostel with youthful vibe although there is people actually loving there and 6+ the rooms can feel very small and a little suffocating. The 4beds room is perfect. Private ones also very nice.

It had a clean kitchen, bathroom and toilet and was located in a good part of the city, which was the only positive point of this hostel. No one could speak English and even when I said hi, no one answered. The beds were not up to standard and there was no safe box.

Location is very good. Good atmosphere as well. English speaking friendly. 6 beds dorm feels suffocating. Not enough space to leave my backpack.

Only one out of four kind staff and dosen't lack amenities if u ask them. Reviews that you read are highly deceiving, rooms have no aircon/a.c. and in summer it is very hot, no curtains or privacy for beds, when u turn dorm beds make creaky noise, also due to lack of aircon room windows are open and are noisy due to cars and motorbikes at night, it is messy hostel, showers are leaking, please search for a better hostel in this price and to worsen things up staff said that their mangement can't provide registration card which is mandatory at airport emmigration (going back home) or you might be fined by authorities, every hostel gave me Registration except this hostel, they do not register you, reviews are fake. stayed here for 5 days as i was sick due to weather, else can't live for a single day here.

This place is very wonderful, comfortable and ideally located. The staff shows a high level of courtesy and is ready to help with recommendations about places to visit. The room is constantly kept clean, cleaning is carried out regularly, bed linen is changed, and groceries are provided to guests. It is definitely worth visiting this place again! 🫰🫰🫰🫰

The hostel is located 1 minute from the Kazan Cathedral. All the main iconic places, museums are within walking distance, the location is super!! all services provided by the hostel, specified during booking, corresponded to the description The hostel room is clean, as is the area around it, in the common areas. The hostel staff are amazing guys, friendly, polite and positive. It was comfortable to be in such an atmosphere

Perfect perfect location,kitchen is good, but the standard room at the upstairs,not the same floor with reception desk,so a little bit lonely. The hostel on the third floor, the stairs are a little bit filth and dark,a little bit scary.
