Food here is good reasonable prices not a tourist trap restaurant we got three items off of the menu. I’m start with the empanadas was really delicious they make the dough from scratch has a great seasoning on it, followed by the fish tacos they were good also, last was the fish sandwich it was a miss it had great presentation the bread and all but sadly when I took a bite into it had a burnt taste. But overall worth a visit to come eat super nice location in the downtown area I will try it again

I have eaten here numerous times and never had anything but impeccable service and amazing food! I have had a lot of mediocre food throughout the Caribbean but this place is my “go to” whenever I’m in Aruba! The avocado salad is always excellent with perfectly ripe avos and the vinaigrette is fabulous . Even something as simple as black beans and rice are sooo delicious! Service has always been fast and the servers always check on me without being invasive. I love this place because of the food…. And also because of everyone who serves me here… and then the atmosphere is lovely as well. Anyone who says otherwise is just grouchy and miserable in life! Make yourself happy and come to Cuba’s Cookin’— you won’t be disappointed!

It’s nice that they had a vegan menu, but they didn’t have the ingredients to make the Vegan Havana Chinatown Pot. They asked to substitute a few items but the flavor was horrible and the dish was very greasy. It tasted like oily raw ginger and hoisin sauce. The Tofu Ropa Vieja was also very greasy. Nothing much to the dish. The guacamole appetizer was more like green mayonnaise with cilantro. The kids had “Pasta Alfredo” but it was just spaghetti with oil and grated cheese. The Caipirinas were weak and didn’t taste authentic.

Here’s what’s good: * atmosphere (the music/vibes were great) * Specialty Mojito was good, definitely worth trying even if you are not a big fan of mojito. The plantain fries were freshly made. Here’s what made me gave 2 stars: * Sat down and waited 20+ min for them to notice me and to even give me a menu. And I was not given utensils until a couple minutes after my food was served * Was told that since it is busy season, they are no longer doing happy hour stuff (which does not make any sense since they put their giant happy hour signs on both entrance on both days I walked by) * Took automatic gratuity (15% service charge). Seems like they easily get away with the sloppy service here b/c most people won’t visit again and

On my birthday trip to Aruba (September 2024), I enjoyed dinner at Cuba's Cooking, selecting the savory pork steak dish, which included rice, black beans, mixed vegetables, and plantains. The steak's impressive seasoning and juiciness were matched by the tasty black beans and subtly buttered rice. The nighttime setting was delightful, featuring engaging wall decor and lively entertainment. Cuba's Cookin comes highly recommended. Order the pork steak if you like pork!

An evening stroll in downtown Aruba had us find this Cuban restaurant on the water and near the Rennesance hotel and mall They had live Cuban music as we sipped our classic Mohito's For dinner we had the Ropa vieja, seafood boat, shrimp scampi and the fried fish. All was excellent.

Someone at my resort recommended and we went that night. Everything was EXCELLENT!! I had the chicken with olives dish. The chicken was so tender and delicious. My friend the garlic shrimp which was equally as delicious! Service was top notch! I would definitely come back again and also recommend.

Food was good. Prices are high in my opinion. Alcoholic drinks were great as well as the dessert.
