This was a really interesting experience, and definitely worthwhile if you’re travelling solo through Singapore for a short period of time.||The good parts: very inexpensive ($50 AUD) in a country where hotel rooms are notoriously overpriced, clean, quirky experience, free breakfast (self-serve omelette station), there is plenty of space in the capsule for a suitcase (and there’s a keypad-protected cupboard underneath the capsule for luggage storage too), clean (both capsules and bathrooms), staff happy to replace towels when requested, and the Arab area of Kampong Glam has a nice vibe.||The bad parts: no daily housekeeping, confusing check-in process (you need to download an app), no lifts so have to use stairs a lot, it’s quite a long walk to the main road and even further to the MRT (important to note when transporting luggage), only fabric covering the capsule entrance (so no TV or music inside, must stay totally quiet)||All in all, I liked it here. If I was transiting through Singapore for 1 or 2 days I’d happily do this capsule hotel/hostel experience again. For longer stays it might be a bit too cramped.
