Interesting fine-dining twist on tapas - this was definitely a unique eating experience and a creative approach to tapas style cuisine.
Whilst the establishment claims to not be a fine-dining experience (as written on the menu), everything about Cuca suggests otherwise. Being escorted through the courtyard on arrival, each small plate being introduced as they were served, the special service provided by the staff and, of course, the price.
Whilst we had an enjoyable experience here, we didn't actually eat much - just three tapas dishes and a couple of (non-alcoholic) drinks between the two of us, whilst the menu suggested six tapas dishes per person. Despite the small order, we still ended up spending over one million rupiah, and sadly left still feeling peckish.
Nevertheless, the overall experience was pretty enjoyable and the food was tasty and creative, albeit overpriced. Considerable wealth is required to fully enjoy this restaurant without feeling guilty for visiting, so we aren't likely to attend again.
