CUKARIN Korcula

I have visited the place on Sunday which it was closed, so I popped in again during working hours. The place is famous as the lady that makes the cookies and other specialities, have been doing so 30 years and more. I have bought some biscuits which are not any different from the others.

All the pastries, jams, and candies are great! Try them all. The owner-shop keeper, besides being super-inviting and friendly, is part of a multi-generational story behind the store and its products. You can’t visit Korcula without a visit to the Cukarin Cake Shop!

The small pekara was nice but the pastry and cookies are not special. The selection is not much and the prices are quite high. It was fresh and sweet. The staff were very friendly to us.

Please don’t come here if what you are looking for is an inexpensive, run-of-the-mill ordinary cookie or two, because this is not that kind of place. Instead, think of this as a Michelin star restaurant serving only fresh, handmade, lovingly-prepared traditional baked sweets. The owner, formerly a nurse during the Balkan War of the 1990s, decided to do something to make people happy, so she opened this shop and has served delighted customers her edible artworks ever since. Please, do not complain about paying what she asks — the price is fair for the labor and high-quality ingredients in what we receive, and these are worth every cent.

Delicious authentic pastries, so unique and tasty. We stopped in and were so delighted that we did. I don’t expect to find anything quite as delicious while in Korčula. Going back for the candied almonds and chocolate bar.

Traditional dalmatian bakery just outside the old town. 5 differents types of pastry all good (with a good coffee even better). Opens at 8:30 and its quite famous so you can find some queue. Prices are high for what is but they are good.

Lovely handmade cookies. We initially thought that they were a bit on the pricey side at up to 17 kuna per cookie..but then found that they were actually filled instead of being just simple biscuits. They were fresh and well textured, with good quality ingredients used.

Amazing pastries, wonderful people🤍 Everything is fresh, delicious and made with best ingredients - best to try some traditional Croatian pastries. Real gem for foodies😊. Don't miss this sweet spot while on Korčula !
