I chose a random location, but Culver’s is a chain in the Midwest. There’s multiple so you can search it up and see whichever is closest to you. I didn’t see a Wisconsin stop on tour (where Culver’s originated from), but Minnesota Culver’s is also good! It’s a burger place known for their butter burgers, cheese curds, and custard!

Love this Plymouth Culver's! We go here often and get the kids cheeseburger meals with fries, and milk. Everyone is so hardworking here and friendly! Def make a stop here!

My family loves Culver's. A lot. One of our favorite weekend activities is picking up Culver's, having a picnic, then stopping back at Culver's for ice cream (custard). Our typical bill is $80+. Today my wife got food for everyone, but her chicken sandwich was so rubbery she could barely bite through it, and the chicken breast was tiny. She took 1 bite without any meat, ate 1 bite, and spit out a 3rd bite because it was not edible. She went back to this store, and asked for the sandwich to be replaced with a less expensive sandwich. My wife had over half the sandwich with only a couple bites out of it, and her receipt. The cashier got the General Manager, WHO SAID NO!! When your store makes a substandard food item, and the customer can show the purchase and the issue, you replace the item and possibly offer something extra in way of apology! So unfortunately we will not be visiting this location again, and will get delicious Culver's food and custard at a location with better customer service!! UPDATE: I called the store to ask the manager why they wouldn't replace the item, and SHE HUNG UP ON ME!! She claimed my wife had only brought back a "tiny" portion of the sandwich, then hung up. I never yell or use profanity with restaurant staff, and I was very polite. My wife also said she was dismissed without any attempt at reviewing or rectifying the complaint, and didn't even look at how much of the sandwich was left or listen that a bite had been spit out and thrown away. Photo of the sandwich as proof it wasn't "a tiny" portion being brought back.

I order a medium Turtle and this is what I was handed.. They didn’t understand the order at all and they put more chocolate in then they did caramel!!! I only wanted a caramel turtle with light chocolate… there was hardly ANY caramel or pecans! They kept talking in circles.. This was horrible service!! Not only that but while I was waiting for them to fix my order, they still had my card even though I had paid for everything so it’s not giving me my card back right away after everything was paid for it. They held onto it while they were fixing the their mess!!

Google
It used to be our go-to place for ice cream in the summer. But the food quality has dropped in the last few visits. Their burgers don't taste fresh anymore, and the banana split is highly variable based on when you go there. Looks like a South American crew has taken this over, and it is very hard to communicate with them in English. They are hardworking, though.

Google
First time at this location, near my work. Ordered ahead in the app, our food was ready right on time, hot and fresh, everything tasted great!! Kids meals are a steal, plenty of food, plus a perfectly portioned scoop of custard. The rest of Culver's seems expensive compared to most fast food places, and the app doesn't do great deals like most other places, but that's a general Culver's complaint, nothing bad about this particular location.

Google
When the ice cream brought to our table, it’s half melt!!! Why? Cause the server scooped the ice cream first, and then let it stand for good 5 minutes while the hot food to be cooked… A subpar Culver’s restaurant.

Google
Food was good for fast food. Didn't realize these were in Minnesota too, only one I've been to is in Utah. Tastier than In and Out. We were on the road and needed something quick. This did the trick!

Google
Consistently good freshly made food. Staff are friendly. If a mistake is made, they correct it and don't make you regret spending your money there. Popular place for local sports to attend after events.

Yelp
Great cheese curd! A must stop by every time I'm in the Midwest! Chili fries could be better without the peppers but it's still pretty good! Fresh off the boat Cod sandwich!

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick dinner. Although the parking lot was packed, there was no line inside. I had the loaded chili and an order of fries. The loaded chili comes with a small container of cheese, red onions, and sour cream. Also, Culver's has recently upgraded to coke products. I tried my partners Diet Coke, and overall it was pretty good.

Yelp
Inaccurately filling drive thru orders, this is the third time they have messed up an order significantly. I shouldn't have to check every burger by opening it to determine if the correct toppings (or in the most recent case ANY toppings). No toppings on the burger despite being very specific with an order taker who was struggling. Repeated every thing back, he confirmed and order was still screwed up. Mix ins for concrete were not mixed in, but dumped on the top. This site needs serious correcting and training as well as verifying orders before they are sent out to the parking lot drivein. Will never return.

Phillip H.

Yelp
Poor amount of toppings on their dishes and flavor of the day. Was told the flavor of the day "will never look the picture". No kidding but this wasn't even close. Not the first time this location has been stingy.

Yelp
If you haven't been to a Culver's it is an all American style restaurant that offers an array traditional diner style foods. You can get a number of items but what they specialize in is their ice cream. The problem is that this Culver's lacks good management, employees, and service. Location: This Culver's is located right down the street of Basslake road and near highway 169 and 494. It's an easy location to get to and it is easy to spot from the road. It's nicely tucked away from the busy street so getting in and out of the parking lot is a breeze. The outside of the restaurant is clean and has the same unified look that you come to expect when you pull into a Culver's. There's nothing extraordinary about the outside, but that's not always a bad thing. The inside is clean and seems well taken care of. Besides being a little old looking there isn't much going on in the inside of the restaurant. You got your normal dining chairs and tables, the ordering station, restrooms, and pretty much what you come to expect from a fast food restaurant. The inside and the outside of the restaurant is nice but that isn't where the problems of the restaurant exist. Food: The food here is what you think of when you think of an American diner or fast food restaurant. You got burgers, chicken tenders, cheese curds, fries, onion rings, and most importantly the ice cream! We have tired multiple things on the menu and we have had hit or miss success pretty much every time we have been here. The burgers we have had have ranged from juicy plump burgers that are cooked well, have a nice crisp on them, stretchy gooey cheese on top, and finished with a soft bun. On the other hand we have had soft buns filled with hockey pucks and stale cheese on top. Then we have had cheese curds that rival the state fairs cheese curd stand, but then we have gotten a bag of crunchy grease that has glue on the inside of them. Lastly the ice cream is why we usually come here. We have tried multiple different toppings, flavors, styles, and have gotten a mismatched experience of all of it. Ranging from liquid ice cream, wrong toppings, missing toppings, and even super hard ice cream. The food here is just random every time we come. It's either the best Culver's you have had or it's money you wish you had back in your pocket and time put back into your life after visiting here. Experience: Our experiences here are usually not that great. We have had rude intercom workers that don't seem like they want to take your order. We have had people not understand us and tell us they don't serve the item we are asking about even though it's on the menu. We have had employees that don't say anything as you pull up to the window or when your order inside. They just stare at you and wait for you to do all the work. We have had items missing from our bags, toppings missing from ice cream, food not prepared to our order, you name it. Pretty much everything you hate about ordering food at a fast food place has happened to us at this location. If the ice cream just wasn't as good as it is I would give this location a worse score. Overall: In the end this location has a lot of room for improvement. The food could be better, the staff could be better, and your overall experience could be better. We still go here mainly for the ice cream but choose to skip out on the food most of the time. It usually ends up being too expensive for the quality that you get. If you're in the area feel free to try it yourself and I hope you have a better experience than we have.

Yelp
Awful service. Went through the drive thru for 2 concrete mixers and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally fed up and went inside to see what was holding up our order and it's just sitting by the window. The audacity of the staff to say "oh we thought you had food" and "we were going to run it out." Seriously? Unprofessional

Yelp
I love culvers but for this location I am blown away at the cost of their menu compared to other locations in the metro. Prices are significantly higher here. A four piece chicken tender basket is more than $11. I was wondering how the drive through was empty at lunch time but I understand now. Aside from the prices food was hot, good and fairly quick.

Keran D.

Yelp
I ordered food to go in the drive through. I don't eat burgers so I decided to get a salad. I ordered the Southwest Avocado salad. The salad itself wasn't bad, but as I was eating there was something green moving in my salad. After further review, it was definitely some type of green worm crawling in my salad. I showed it to my husband and tossed the salad in the garbage. I called Culver's to let them know. They said sorry and asked me to bring it back so they could send it to the manufacturer. I told them I threw it away. They didn't offer to compensate me on a future replacement meal. They could have asked me for my address and sent a coupon or taken my name down for something at another time, but didn't. It's raining outside and even if I hadn't thrown the salad in the garbage I wouldn't be heading to bring it back. I can't get the image of a worm crawling in my food out of my head. So, I'm done eating at Culver's!

Yelp
Here's the thing I love about Culver's. Not only ids the food great but they are willing to give those of us that may not have many options for a job, the ability to shine. The customer service is always kind and with a cheerful smile. I'll choose Culver's over ANY of its competitors any day. Keep it up Culver's.

Yelp
I ordered a fish dinner. Also a roast beef sandwich The gal taking orders was short and seemed irritated. I get it... if they put coupons out it has to be more precise. 17.00 for a fish sandwich. A drink I never asked for. I just asked for a fish dinner and a roast beef sandwich. Dinner would be two sides. I told her coleslaw and mashed potatoes Came home and no dinner. A fish sandwich A dried roast beef sandwich A drink which she did not explain to me as she said two sides. I said mashed potatoes and coleslaw So you think that even though I was not going to use this coupon which she whisked away from me .. Bottom line? Unhappy. I called and whoever said he could help me and was "management" was rude! All I wanted is what I came their for . Just saying we are all living through hard times but to spend 17.00 for what I did not receive and did not know until I returned home was sad and so was this rude "manager" I will not be going to Culver's again and will not support this franchise ....

Yelp
Been a customer at this location for over 10 years. Not sure if I will continue to patronize this location. Within the last 2-3 months the food quality as gone down hill. I've had 2 BURNT burgers and now today a RAW burger.

Yelp
Love the fresh food and no more expensive than a meal from a fast food place. Order on the app and ready in minutes. You know it's good and filling when my 15 year old son requests this often.

Yelp
I recently had my left knee dislocated so that lead to a doctors appointment up in Maple grove. Long story short I got hungry so decided to stop by here at Culver's which I never been before. The man who greeted me and took my order was Miguel who I'm greatly thankful to. He took and placed my food order explained to me the options and he even filled my drink for me, (carrying anything with crutches is a big hassle so many many thanks!) and escorted me to a table which he briefly wiped down for me and help me sit. As I felt embarrassed for being assisted even though I obviously needed it, and decided to tip which to my surprise Miguel kindly declined and said if I need anything else just ask. The location was spotless clean and the food was pretty amazing, never have I had a burger like this before and the price was pretty reasonable. Cooking and serving time was rather swift as well, I'm more used to waiting at least 10-20 minutes at a drive through. If only every quick food location could be like this. Big thanks to Miguel and the rest of the crew who went out of their way to assist me and take care of me!

Yelp
Went to this location, and as I pull to the speaker I realized I didn't have my wallet. Before I even began ordering, I asked if they accept Apple Pay. They nice lady on the headset proceeded to say "yes, we do!" So I said, "oh thank god, I left my wallet home and just noticed!" Then proceeded with my order. At the window, I gave the worker my phone UNLOCKED ready to pay, and he couldn't figure it out. Turns out, he locked it. So I unlocked it again, ready for payment and he still couldn't get it. He then gives back my phone saying it's not working, and if I have another form of payment. I said no and he very rudely demanded the drink back. Everytime he tried to pay with the phone, he locked the phone. Whether it was on purpose or not I have no idea. Moral of my story, next time say you don't take Apple Pay.

Yelp
I am not one to review fast food restaurants, but this one needed to get one becasue of what I saw when I visited today and what I've heard from other coworkers who have eaten here on their lunch breaks. This places isn't your "average" fast food restaurant, the first thing is when you walk through the doors and are greeted by the NICEST employees imaginable. Not only that but they even talk to you and are super nice if you are dining in. The huge thing and person that suck out to me was Eric. Now here is the thing, Eric is not an employee there, he is the OWNER and I have yet to see an owner that acted like a hard working employee, ever. He was taking orders, making food and frozen treats, he even got me a to-go bag without me having to ask. He gives incredible service and it just shows how amazing of an environment he promotes at his location. If you love culvers or just want to support one that deserves it, this would be the location to stop at. The service is amazing, the employees are so kind and the owner goes above and beyond what any other owner would do. Here is a comment from my coworker who has visited a lot: "He is the FIRST owner that I have ever seen working in every position! A owner scrubbing the floor on his hands and knees? A owner working the front counter? A owner bringing food to his customers? A owner scooping frozen custard? and most important a owner that smiles and talks to his team! Wish more management/owners would be like him!! Speechless!"

Yelp
I absolutely love this Culver's- I live across the street and therefor am a regular. I've never had a bad experience here-quick and friendly service all the time. Please start putting the flavor of the day on the board outside again though haha

Yelp
Culver's is great. I texted my friends a picture of the burger and told them I was going to have a heart attack; the thing itself is called a butter burger which holds true to its midwestern roots. Got the double today because sometimes a single isn't enough for me (and I'm pretty small although to be fair have a happy appetite) which was a little too much food in the end. I love the root beer here -- not sure how they make it but it's definitely some of the better root beer I've had. I also always get the lemon ice with raspberries; they give a generous portion of whatever fruit you get and it's perfect on a warm day (today has freezing rain unfortunately; ah Minnesota!). Servers are also nice; I feel badly that they have to come all the way to your car when you're using the drive through regardless of inclement weather. Hope they get paid well!

Yelp
My Culver's in Savage, MN has to be the most courteous restaurant ever. There's never been a time when I've called & they took the order & delivered in a timely fashion. Notice I said delivered, well they did & didn't have to. It just so happens they extend that courtesy to us seniors who live across the street. Kudo to My Savage Culver's!

Marvin D.

Yelp
What they served was not frozen custard. It was more like cheap crap ice milk. I contacted Culver's on line to let them know that the quality control department needs to pay this location a visit. This rant is not about the flavor this is about not receiving what is a staple of the Culver's Brand.

Bella R.

Yelp
Culver's was rude. They messed up our order and we asked for sauce, the lady didn't give us any. I will not be eating here again:(

Judith H.

Yelp
Other than being a bit vague on the procedure for ordering/picking up orders, the gentleman at the order booth and the lady bringing my order were so nice, friendly and efficient! Will definitely return to this store.
google avatar

Sophia C.

Yelp
Manager Julia was amazing! Brought us a shake and was super sweet! The food was good and the chicken tenders were super crispy, definitely will come back!

Yelp
Summary: - fast food that's a little slower cause it's freshly made - very tasty custard - found mostly in Midwest --- I have fond memories of biking to Culver's when I was a kid, albeit a different location. It's one of the few restaurants that are only found in the midway so the chain holds a special place in my heart. They have a dine in and drive through that take a little longer than your average fast food because they fry everything fresh. On this particular visit, I just got some vanilla custard. As I remembered from my childhood, the stuff was creamier than normal ice cream, less sugary, and had that distinct egg like taste. When I word it like that, it actually sounds kind of gross but take a leap of faith on this one. Be careful though; the custard melts faster cause it has less air in it. Highly recommend a trip to one of these stores!

Yelp
Culvers and Me: a relationship that was just more than ButterBurgers. It was the summer of '02, and I had just graduated high school. Culvers had just opened a few months ago after much hype, and I instantly became a permament fan of Culvers. I was 18, and didn't care about my health, so of course I got their JUMBO deluxe burger combos. From the description I heard it was 3 single all beef never frozen patties mashed into one. Good enough for me! The burgers tasted fresh, the buns were lightly toasted with butter, their crinkle french fries, all washed down with my cherry Pepsi always did the trick. But it wasn't until I found out about their lemon coolers, did I fall in love. That smooth lemon ice, blended with your choice of fruit(maraschino cherries), served in a nice plastic cup was the perfect frozen beverage/treat. Culvers and I became sorta a thing, making as much as 7 visits in a 10 day period. Unfortunately, that was also the last summer I would be able to do that. I went off to college, and Culvers stayed behind. Of course kept in touch when I came back in town, and even the Culvers drive thru guys remembered me and various rides(previa/rodeo/element), but it was never quite the same after the summer. In all seriousness though, Culvers is my standard of high class fast food. They actually DELIVER your food to the table. Their burgers are one of the best, they have real onion rings, and you can't beat their desserts. I'm not a huge fan of ice cream, but if you are, you have to try their frozen custard. Hopefully you'll get lucky and go when the flavor of the day fancies your taste. I've have many great memories of Culvers, hopefully you will too!

Yelp
Culver's is one of our favorite spots for ice cream to begin with but this one is amazing. Every time we come into this location we are treated like family and are greeted with cheerful smiles and a laid back albeit efficient atmosphere. The assistant managers Dave and Andre are always extra friendly and go the extra mile to provide the best customer service around.

Don D.

Yelp
Don't eat here bugs are in food and I didn't get my money back. Customer service wasn't good and the environment is nasty. This is place is overrated and over priced food with bugs in it. I will never buy from here again or recommend it.

Maheen R.

Yelp
I have always come to Culver's since I was little, and it is still my favorite fast food place. The customer service is great, and the butterburgers are my favorite, definitely would recommend! Their ice creams are also one of the best in the area. Definitely coming back!
google avatar

Stephanie R.

Yelp
Really? I have no idea why this needs a review. It is fast food! I live across the street from this Culver's. I have eaten here twice in a pinch. It is your typical fast food joint, slightly nicer than a McDonalds. I wouldn't go out of your way to check it out.
google avatar

Matt D.

Yelp
I went there today to get 11 milkshakes for my team at work. I brought with me a hard shell shoulder strap cooler for easy transportation purposes. An employee noticed me right away and asked if he could fill up my cooler with ice! I watched has he wiped down each individual milkshake before he put into my cooler ( really above and beyond!!) so very impressed with the service and accommodation! Will defiantly be purchasing more bulk milkshakes!
google avatar

Yelp
The best resaurant ever! There free custard is awesome, and the burgers are mouth-watering. Best reastauant, and very quality service.
google avatar

Matthew B.

Yelp
Great food decent price next time I need to check out the frozen custard. I recommend trying it here at least once

Daniel B.

Yelp
Full disclosure: I may be the biggest Culver's advocate on the planet, and this is my home branch. I'm now living on the east coast and really miss this place! I've been to this location dozens of times since 2002 and have never had a bad experience. Great food, good service, clean, wide variety of choices ... I've taken many friends here who were visiting from outside the Midwest and they all love it. Although "fast casual" restaurants with much better ingredients and food than traditional fast food restaurants have really taken off in the past ten years, I think Culver's is still an anomaly for its outstanding quality/cost ratio. I am a simple man and mainly stick with the staples: frozen custard and Butterburgers. But there are so many other good choices!
google avatar

Jim S.

Yelp
Good food. Fair (not cheap) prices. Fast and good service. Clean building and grounds. Participate in community by supporting youth organizations etc.

Louis T.

Yelp
Excellent customer service at this location and great food. Greeted when walking in, order was correct place was very clean. Love how they do a recycle program as well.

Yelp
For a restaurant like Culver's, who specializes in fast food and ice cream, you would think that I would say "if you are looking for a good burger and some tasty ice cream, then this is the place to be." However, I would go as far as to say that if you are just in the mood for a great fast food burger, then this is the perfect place for you to go. Cooked to perfection and topped with the best Wisconsin cheese I've ever had, a Culver's burger, at least at this location, is at the pinnacle of pure fast food burgers. Combine that with, yes, tasty ice cream shakes, and a very clean environment, and you have a fast food joint you can enjoy stopping in for lunch at.
