51 Most Romantic Places in the U.S.A.

"Known as 'The Niagara of the South.' Cumberland Falls is impressive at all hours of the day, but it's particularly special at night thanks to a unique natural phenomenon called a moonbow. Couples who visit the falls at night can spot a fantastic lunar rainbow spread across the water, which only adds to the area's romantic charm." - Travel + Leisure Editors

This waterfall is amazing!! The hike on the far side is better than going to the overlook. The hike is not super challenging and easy to walk. There is also another waterfall on the trail that is just as pretty as this one. The other one you can swim under and jump off rocks. I highly recommend visiting this waterfall!

Beautiful park, the falls are gorgeous. Kind of bummed about no swimming, but it’s nice to walk around. The gift shop is super cute and there are so many fun things to buy.

Just beautiful! The grounds are extremely well kept, several view points of the falls, and you can go for a hike on the trails to see even more. It's really worth a trip if you've never been!

Great place to visit which is 2.5 hr from louisville. Awesome scenic place loved the different view points of the waterfall. You can go and kayak too. Lovely place to spend time with family. Free entry to the waterfall and plenty of parking space to park and walk to see the waterfall. One of the best waterfall in ky.

These are some older pictures of the moonbow that I thought might be of interest. We stayed at the lodge which we had to book way in advance to get there on a moonbow night (full moon only), but it was a very nice stay. There is an outdoor patio at the lodge that looks out over a wooded vista. There's a short somewhat steep trail from the lodge to the main viewing lot. Pictures of the moonbow were taken with a cheapie digicam, 8 second exposure.
