This park is incredible and comes straight out of the pages of a history book. The waterfall is separate from the resort, but you still have access to a lot of amenities when just visiting. You can still visit the snack bar, do the gem sifting, visit the pool, hike on the trails, and do pony rides. We didn't pay for any of the extra services, but they were there for anyone who was interested. These attractions were also spread out throughout the park, meaning that there was plenty of parking and really no traffic!
As far as the waterfall is concerned, you couldn't ask for more. It is beautiful, awe inspiring, and by far the largest waterfall we've ever seen in person. If you're interested in the falls you'll want the moonbow trail, which starts in the parking lot and goes along the river. There are multiple viewing points at different vantages, providing lots of opportunities for photos and appreciation for the natural beauty. If you continue down the trail far enough you can even visit a small beach! Staff were pleasant and the park is well cared for despite all of the cuts and shortages.
