"Known as 'The Niagara of the South.' Cumberland Falls is impressive at all hours of the day, but it's particularly special at night thanks to a unique natural phenomenon called a moonbow. Couples who visit the falls at night can spot a fantastic lunar rainbow spread across the water, which only adds to the area's romantic charm." - Travel + Leisure Editors

This park is incredible and comes straight out of the pages of a history book. The waterfall is separate from the resort, but you still have access to a lot of amenities when just visiting. You can still visit the snack bar, do the gem sifting, visit the pool, hike on the trails, and do pony rides. We didn't pay for any of the extra services, but they were there for anyone who was interested. These attractions were also spread out throughout the park, meaning that there was plenty of parking and really no traffic! As far as the waterfall is concerned, you couldn't ask for more. It is beautiful, awe inspiring, and by far the largest waterfall we've ever seen in person. If you're interested in the falls you'll want the moonbow trail, which starts in the parking lot and goes along the river. There are multiple viewing points at different vantages, providing lots of opportunities for photos and appreciation for the natural beauty. If you continue down the trail far enough you can even visit a small beach! Staff were pleasant and the park is well cared for despite all of the cuts and shortages.

Beautiful waterfall with access to the beach down below. If you want to get closer you’ll have to navigate the boulders.

Cumberland Falls is a breathtaking natural wonder known as the “Niagara of the South.” Its powerful 68-foot-wide cascade creates a mesmerizing mist and, on clear nights, the rare and magical moonbow. Surrounded by lush forest and scenic trails, it’s an ideal spot for hiking, photography, and peaceful moments in nature. A must-see for outdoor enthusiasts.

It's just 2minute walk from the parking area and we can see the waterfall.. there is a souvenir shop and some small cafe/store sell drink and food. You gan follow the trail get a better photo with the waterfall.

Beautiful and serene. A tiny reminder of the mighty Niagra. The lookout rails have been pulled back some for safety but the views are still abundant and impressive. The whoosh sound of the running water never shuts off. It almost feels like it could suck you in. Parking a plenty even for a 24ft RV. Free to visit and an absolute must do if you're in the area.

Good place to visit. During peak monsoon period when water flow is high, this is really small Niagara Falls.. the place offers kayaking, rafting etc on charges and pre booking. Has fl limited options for eating and shopping.. walking trail is nice..

This is a really great state park. Several hiking trails and the largest waterfall is very accessible, just a few minute walk from parking lot. I highly recommend the affordable horseback riding ($25 per rider). The stables have been family owned for years and were very accommodating to first time riders. It is a very beautiful drive and area of Kentucky.

Ok so im not sure where to start..came here from tennessee and I will say that it was very much worth the drive. Ok I will say that i only seen a tiny part of the park. But the stairs to walk down were great and I will say I went when it was rainy out and they were a little slippy but I personally feel like it was better cause all the extra water flowing from them were beauty.. I didn't buy anything from Cafe but the prices didn't look bad. They also had a funnel cake truck with good prices. I wanted to explore so much more but wasn't the best time for my family so sadly I couldn't. Overall the experience was well worth it. I recommend it.
