I booked a cedar cabin. I appreciated that the heater was on and the cabin was lovely and warm when I arrived. It was very clean and cosy and comfortable. The park was quiet and every staff member I met were friendly and happy. I recommend this park. Bonus...friendly wildlife, kookaburras, kangaroos and too many others birds to list.

Couldn't recommend this place more! We had the best stay here recently. Service was exceptional and accommodation of a great standard the cabins and clean. Best spot to stay and explore as a couple or young family.

Excellent location if you want to get away and not be bothered by your phone etc. as there is no mobile reception within the site.|Facilities are quite basic with limited or no water & power. Friends satying in cabins werre not allowed hair dryers or toasters due to lack of power. Showers in the toilet block are timed and cut off automatically.|Customer service was poor with zero flexibility on number of cars or checkout times eventhough the place was almost empty during our stay. They are there to make money, not service their customers needs.

Had the most amazing time! Saw the kangaroo's 🦘, all the beautiful bird wild life such as the Kookaburra, Cockatoo & Rosella's. The River & Rockwall is so sensational & calming to look at! The stars ✨ at night are sensational! Enjoyed a nice wine around the 🔥 fire pit, extremely relaxing! We also kept well feed with the gorgeous, clean BBQ facilities you have! Thank you so much for providing a peaceful, safe & relaxing atmosphere! This is our most favourite holiday destination! Appreciate you all being so accommodating to us & all of U looking after the park so well! See you again soon. Kindly EJ

The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. Like, sarcastically rude & downright mean, in the face of an issue that was truly no ones fault and would have no bearing on their operations.... It totally ruined the vibe of such and idyllic location. Well done, it takes some really crappy service for me to write a review... we won't be returning and will be advising others to look elsewhere!

If you are looking for a nice and peaceful place to go camping, do NOT choose this place. My partner and I enjoy camping to relax and get away and the trip to this campground was horrible to say the least. The campsites are shoulder to shoulder, not much space at all. The young people next to us had their music on until 2am and were screaming at the top of their lungs to the point where I was laying in the tent contemplating to leave. We told reception and they couldn’t have cared less if they tried. This place is ridiculous and their rules about no noise after 10pm is not truly followed, so if you’re looking for a good campsite to party on this is the one. Considering it is quite pricey I’m very suprised they do not enforce their rules. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It is a shame because the views are nice and it is in a great spot, just a very poorly run business. My partner and I had to pack up and leave the second night because they were once again loud and reception did nothing about it. Do not go here.

Beautiful views of a cliff and river. Great for kids to play in. Service is friendly and welcoming. There are fire pits located throughout the park. There are kangaroos wondering freely. The negatives, sites are all unpowered. The toilets and showers are very basic. There are 2 x showers and 2 x toilets, be prepared to queue. 2 x communal sinks for dishes, again insufficient. Camp kitchen have 2 x bbq stoves, no fridge or shared tables / spaces.

I camped during peak season so can't comment on the rooms. I called beforehand to let them know that I would be late (after hours) and the staff were so lovely in how they accommodated me. They are impressively professional, organised and maintain the campgrounds with dedicated ground staff. One of them brought leads and a battery for a jump-start. Thank you! It was quiet and relaxed in a beautiful setting. All campers were respectful and I was fortunate to have super friendly neighbours to boot. I read one review that they may cull some wildlife, I hope this remains a rumour because wildlife is an integral part of camping. If I wanted a wildlife free camp, I'd go to one of the big franchises and I would rate this campground commensurately. You have a point of difference so keep up your classy act, Cumberland!

Yelp
Lorne, just down the Great Ocean Road from Cumberland River, gets a hell of a lot of attention given its awesome location and scenery. But I am sure it also packs out in peak season and for that reason, I recommend travelling a little further to arrive at Cumberland River Holiday Park. The park is situated on a rare bit of flat ground along the mountainous coastal drive, situated next to a beautiful running river and impressive cliffs overhead. Other than the park goers there are no other neighbours apart from the wildlife that inhabits the river, the forest and the ocean. We were greeted by lovely management and as it was the middle of winter we rented a cabin rather than rolling out the swag. The cabin was clean, simple yet functional. There is a gas log fire indoors, an outdoor fire pit and good cooking and bathroom facilities. Due to the remote location, electricity is limited and there was only one powerpoint in the cabin. Definitely stop in here for a few nights to take in majestic scenery, stunning river walks and breathtaking ocean views.
